  1. When you had the leak did it start hard after sitting over nite parked level ?
  2. You put the turbo gasket on the exhaust manifold run some bolts in,then look at the inside of it. There will be material under the gasket on the manifold that can be ground off. The turbo example has the wrong gasket on just look at the edge. It was the only one i had. You also do the other end with the gasket. You can see the extra meat pointed out with the bic pen. --- Update to the previous post... You can take an awl and scratch a grind line. Then grind on a angle to get up to the gasket. Once you get up to the line work the inside part. You have to know when to stop so you dont end up with a boat anchor
  3. When you crush a new head gasket and stretch the arp's it is important to retorque. I only say this because yours lasted 9 months. There could be many factors as to why it started to leak. Did you use a factory cummins gasket ? 45 lbs is around the range limit for a factory hg, mostly.
  4. If you can test the sensors it could be beneficial. I was reading about guys removing the gauge cluster and cleaning the contacts.
  5. Did you torque it in small increments ? Did you retorque it ? Did you have the head checked to see if it is flat ? If it lasted that many months could be a retorque issue. Hard to say.
  6. The bummer part is the guy thats interested told me "I'll take it along with the exhaust blanket " and i cant get a hold of him yet. I have to give him a chance. As far as a "sale" they have them 6 times a year.
  7. I take brake clean to the inside of the boot then blow dry with shop air. Clean the tube the same way. Then take some hair spray...yes hair spray, and spray it on the tube and a small amount inside the boot then install. The hairspray dryes and gets sticky it will hold. I hit 60 lbs of boost with factory clamps and boots.
  8. Do you think it helps when you drive ? I can see it working when you shut off the engine. The fan is a good idea.
  9. Thats what i am thinking the head gasket. I had plans and they changed but the 20 over headgasket killed the low end for sure.
  10. I had wanted a equal length header for years. Had a buddy move on up to a 4t and sold me his used header. --- Update to the previous post... --- Update to the previous post... In the top picture, that is a thread from the exhaust blanket i ran with it. I have a guy who says he wants to buy it, but it has been a wile. If he backs out and you want it i will sell it to you.
  11. It is really hard to say when the change took place. I will post a picture up later on today for you.
  12. The door tag on mine says april 01 and it has 4wdb.
  13. Yes, i just removed it 2 weeks ago. The ats that is. I ran it for almost 5 years. It has one port for egt. The reason i suggested gasket matching and cleaning it up a little is because it will help in a small way. You dont have to.
  14. He said drum in his first post.
  15. Did you look inside the brake fluid reservoir ? How do the pads look up front ? Maybe the proportion valve is bad. You could try to bleed them all out ?
  16. Look in the driver door jam. --- Update to the previous post... Or glove box. You can call any dodge dealer and give them your vin #
  17. Are you saying that 2 stroke oil and diesel fuel mix wont freeze ? I always had questions about that. They sell 2 different kinds of diesel here year round. The winter blend and non winter.
  18. As far as cracking you have ask them all, how hot did it get ? Thats why they crack for the most part. Now about aftermarket exhaust. They help in a huge way,at least on mine it did. I look at it as every little helps. It is a matter of building all parts to work together so they help one onother. If your's is almost stock don't get one. Let me be clear about ALMOST stock, 275 rv injectors and a fass/air dog pump is still stock to me.If you want to see results from your stock manafold, gasket match it on both the turbo side and the exhaust side and smooth it out. All you meed is a drill and grinder bit. Then you can send it out to get a coating.
  19. Update 250 miles to 1/2 tank. Thats 50 more with stupid big injectors and overdrive off. I did 200 in overdrive all on the freeway. Go figure.
  20. Some do. My guess is cost. You can try jet hot coatings.
  21. I think stucky, teem green has 9.50's cummins power.
  22. Man that was cool.
  23. I have used factory cummins gaskets and like the way they have the embossed grooves. At one time i bought some fellpro from napa but didn't use them. They have some kind of coating on them but they are just flat. The pdi looks good.
  24. I ran an ats for a few years it held up well.
