  1. $3.25 here in Bakersfield and we make it here!
  2. If I put the big line kit on, what should the line size be, 1/2 or 3/8? Is volume the only real benifit? The way thing are going i will be running this pump for awhile so looking to upgrade. Would i also need the drawstraw for this setup?
  3. Yes i went there and found what i am looking for but a $150 upgrade.
  4. I had to take the Milage Max out of the truck to get it smogged the other day. I did notice right off the bat a different in the way it ran without it in. Seam to run a little smoother without it, weird. I also notice a decrease in the milage, 17 from 19 highway speed with the cruise on. I put it all back together yesterday, that red clip is a booger to get to on map sensor, and went back to 19. Seen that the Dload for the upgrades are gone . Would like to have upgrade mine to the 75hp mode, any help?
  5. :2cents:Back in the 80's i was working in a dealership where we had a Ford Sedan come in with a knocking sound in the engine, 6 cyl. I thought it was a rod bearing at first, but it ended up as carbon build up around the head gasket. The car was drivin about 5 miles 2 times a week. It never got warm enough to keep the combustion chamber clean, kept the choke on most of the trip. Replace the head gasket and got it back on the road.My point being if you don't drive it enough to get to operating temp on a regular basis, you my see something simular.
  6. I just replaced the sending unit today for the third time on my Glow Shift gauges. The made me pay S/H on th second but not the the last one. This time i moved it away from the pump thinking that vibration was making them go out. The second one did not last 15 miles before it started to show very high readings then just peg at 35psi. Checked it with a manual gauge screwed into the banjo bolt at the pump to compare, manual at 20, electric at 35. altogether i have 4 add on gauges, trans temp, fuel pressure, boost, and EGT. They are all Glow Shift and work good and all, it just the sending unit on the fuel psi thats has been an issue.
  7. Ok guys i need to change out the clear cheap hose that came with the boost gauge for something more reliable. any suggestion? What is this polyon?
  8. Mine was from glow shift and they wanted me to cut the a piller to smooth the speaker area. What i ended up doing was to find one at a salvage yard for $15, and then used their cover with my speaker. I screw on the cover and turned out good.
  9. thanks for the reply. i see a found a few other that were drilled on the same (runner) but closer to the head. where is it thicker, or is it same to the flange?
  10. I thought i saw here somewhere, where is the best place to drill for the sender for my 02 24 valve stock exhaust manifold. Can some one please help me out.
  11. Thanks for all of you guy advice. I did change the filter (NAPA) about 1500 miles ago and pulled it out yesterday to see if anything was happenening in there. Will change it out soon too see if there is a different.
  12. Went out and bought the Airtek yesterday. Autozone had the old style, and it looked like the one i already had so i did not get it $161.99. Went to Carquest with the same part number, they had the new style for $168.98, $184.+ with taxes. I put it on in 30 minute, do to having the old one off already. Then bleed system, it fired up again and had 17 lbs on the gauge. Went for test drive and @ wot it went to almost 9lbs, @ 70mph it was @ 11lbs. Good enough i guess for now. Really wanted an Air Dog in the near future, but that will have to wait til next time.
  13. Thank for the advice. Everything in fuel system and basicly the rest of the truck is stock.
  14. Last night i install a fuel psi sending unit in my vp44 at the check valve, i remove it from the vp and installed a banjo bolt then the psi snubber, then the sending unit. When i went to start it, i bleed air at sending unit to get it to start, then back up parked until the morning to finish the inside stuff then. Once i was finish it would not start. bleed again, but did'nt get any fuel. remove banjo at back of filter and i did the crank-no-start thing for the pump to start and it was but nothing coming out of the banjo at all. Was on a slope driveway and I had 1/4 tank of fuel, went and got 5 more gallons, still nothing. I then went and fired up the air compressor to put some psi into the tank, then i got fuel all the way to the vp44 when everything was put back together. The thing is, it was running find until i started to put in the gauge. I was in battle with myself the the wife on which one first, Gauges or the lift pump, now i think i have to tell both , not in the budget. Am i missing something:cookoo:?
  15. I have Drivin about 1000 miles now with the Quadzilla Milage and notice a 1.5 mpg increase.
  16. Can't wait till us here in California to vote out Boxer and Finestine. Here in Central Calif, we are moderates and conservatives believe it or not, but we have so many screwed up thinkers in the coastal areas that its gone crazy . Smog laws for Diesels come on. Sorry people but you might be next. So many people have left here because of the craziness. There is a ballot out for us to split the state down the middle, north to south, so the Libs can keep doing what they do best take freedom away, and we can use the water (they took away for a 2" fish called a Smelt) to plant the crops, make jobs & feed the world. What Goverment is today is not what our founder that it would become.
