  1. I lied. Death wobble is not gone......smh
  2. It seems to have started after it death wobbled 3 or 4 times. It wasn't after any parts or anything. Interesting you say that. After the last bad death wobble my axle seems to be sticking out on the drivers side more than usual. It has always been a bit off center with the level but not as bad as it is now. I really don't want to drop the coin on an adjustable track bar though. I'm going with dodgeoffroad.com if that's what I need.
  3. If he put shaved pistons / fly cut pistons, thicker head gasket etc the compression will be slightly lower than stock. Sounds like a perfectly healthy engine to me!
  4. Both front axle U joints are new as well. The only joint I haven't replaced is the front pinion, but it's good and it doesn't turn while driving. I got the death wobble fixed. It was the track bar loose. I'll crawl under there and check things. Thanks!
  5. Honestly I can't tell where. It could be coming through the front too. I'm going to jack up the front tomorrow and check wheel bearings. 190k with most of the life at 285's could have eaten one. I also had some wicked death wobble recently. I'm wondering if ht vibration didn't attribute to that.
  6. The one I replaced tonight was still good, and the other one was just missing needles. In other words, nothing appeared abnormal to me.
  7. Alright guys I've got a vibration somewhere that I can't seem to find. It comes on at about 67mph and goes through 71. then fades up until 75 where it gets worse again. Above 80 it starts to fade. Things I've done: All new U joints, tires balanced, checked driveshaft and all weights are still there, and the rear pinion is tight. Any idea where I can look to find it??
  8. I'm confused... he had the head fire ringed, then replaced the head and O ringed the head and the block?
  9. I don't see why not. just make sure she doesn't fire....
  10. Welcome! If you have questions don't be afraid to post em up.
  11. Oh the suspense.... you're not a very nice guy
  12. Nick believes it's because he signed in with facebook and it created a new profile. BOD are aware....
  13. Straight out of slug, 90, then air chuck. Napa should be find if you've got one available.
  14. I ran a piece straight up, then a 90 out.
  15. John, do you have 2 profiles?? The copper washer should do exactly as Mike says. Trust me when I say it's not fun if those copper washers start leaking
  16. We don't talk about 6.blows in these parts I think I've finally got my twins in a good spot, at least EGT wise they are. After pulling over like 10 times and adjusting the boost elbow I've got it where a WOT run from 40-95+ going up hill has peak EGTs of 950*. (Smarty only) Peak boost is 42psi (I discovered if I smack my pos gauge it'll settle into the correct pressure) Now I just need to get a drive pressure gauge hooked up and see what's happening on the other side of things. I talked with Jacob at diesel auto power and have a set of injectors lined up as well. Big shout out to him for supporting this forum and helping out the members here!!
  17. I see... I don't think I'm going with a permenant drive pressure gauge. Temporary for tuning will be all I need. Mine started at +15 last year... VERY angry. Wouldn't do that on the new motor though. I tried to start it at -15 last year and it didn't even try! Flipped the switch and started without a hickup.
  18. That's like saying you should snort the cocaine because it's free and sitting on the table My point being you can severly damage the internals of the engine and not even know it. Heck with 100's, stock hx35, and a smarty I could melt mine down pulling heavy loads.
  19. What's the 3rd boost gauge for? 30* and no grids. Little angry when she starts
  20. But I can do a product review over there since I did purchase one.
  21. I don't think they would do anything to me?? I'm staff, but I see zero gains from the sale of the fooler.
  22. Uh... you should never run aftermarket injectors without any gauges... let along injectors and a programmer. Those should be at the top of the list!
  23. Yeah trying to tune twins up here in the city isn't fun either. Lay into it..... aaaand wer're doing 90 I'm still trying to find the happy spot with these damn things.
  24. If you're serious I think my brother wants to as well. I know a couple places up here that are reasonable on pricing.
  25. SMH it's probably a toss up....
