Bleed Power Steering ?? 01 Ram 3500
Yes it can. Mine did it until I got the air out of the system. Have they stiffened up at all after cycling the steering?

The time has come to produce the Mopar1973Man High Idle & MPG fooler switches again.
While I wouldn't recommend it, you could always cut the wires and extend it. That would void your warranty though.

Nice work! Now that the store is up and running it shouldn't be long

Lift the front end and turn lock to lock repeatedly. That should push all of the air out of the lines.

Teardown and Rebuild
I think you're confusing O rings with Fire rings. The O ring just crushes the head gasket's fire ring harder. Heat cycles don't bother it, just like not having O rings. Fire rings replace the gasket's fire ring, and they are not fond of constant heat cycles.

Got a couple videos. The sound only one was with the TST off. I can get 40psi with the smarty on 3.... https://youtu.be/ZEvBKOj_qR0 https://youtu.be/PZRjfeYTpqo

Yup! Built her to hold whatever the VP can throw at her. Just have to be mindful of the trans!

Teardown and Rebuild
Yup. It all lines up and appears to be much better than the stock design. No more toe-in toe-out as the suspension cycles. Head gasket better not pop.... that's why I spent the money to have the head O ringed and put studs in. Heck my brother is making over 700hp on studs and a stock gasket (180k) with no issues. Remember.... it's not a 6.0 Well some things fell into place and I'm working while going to school. Without that $$ there's no way I would have touched it. The exterior was all insurance $$ too. That's my hope! With these injectors I'm not concerned about anything. There isn't enough fuel to break the motor, and I'm smart about when I apply power.

You looking to buy?? Thanks I'm really happy with the way it turned out. As for the air cleaner.... Yes it's an oiled S&B. It'll be getting a dry AFE on it asap. I'd like to get an ourterwear for it as well, and I think DAP sells some.

Teardown and Rebuild
Well that was fun for a 1 day project! I recommend giving yourself two days if possible. I took a few pictures along the way. I'll try to get a good picture today in the daylight. I set the gate on the secondary to open around 20-25psi and its very obvious when it opens with the smarty only. I don't have an intermediate gauge yet, so I don't have the ability to tune them at all. I can say I'm getting around 10psi at 1400rpm and 15+psi before 1500 rpm. From there it just takes off. After taking it easy on the turbo for an hour or so I opened it up a bit and it made 55psi of boost on these baby injectors :lmao: I'm going to order a 100 psi gauge and move the one I have now down to the steering column for intermediate boost. Overall I'm impressed. I can't wait to see how she does with bigger injectors and better tuning

....... Bumping to a new page.

manometer blowby test
You'd also need an injector hold down that was some way sealed to the top of the injector and has a fitting on the top for the gauge to hook up to. Getting the seal would be the hard part. Otherwise the injector would just blow out of the hole.

I can't remember where I got my slug. I think it was 40-50 bucks though.

Big Line Kit
I'll run the breather off the front of the engine into a bottle with a filter on the top so it'll quit spitting on my diff. I don't mind the 12v tappet cover dripping every now and then, but I like to keep the front clean.

manometer blowby test
That's why you let a dummy like me buy one... Then I can pass it around and let everyone have some fun!

Valve Seals? occasional oil smoke.
Valve seals and a cam are two completely different ball games.... popping the valve cover, rockers, and springs off are cake. Ripping the whole front end off isn't quite as quick / fun

manometer blowby test
Yup. Just drop me a PM when you're ready and I'll send it all your way. It's actually pretty quick and easy! Mine made around 410psi in each cylinder before the rebuild. When I switch injectors I might do it again for the heck of it.

If you want to compression test it I have everything.... all I ask is you pay shipping and make a donation to the site

MPG loss from changing injectors
There's no way they were factory. They didn't do a batch of 8 hole injectors just for fun.... everything is mass produced the same. Maybe Weston Shupe or Ducky Fuel injection would have an answer

Teardown and Rebuild
It's the 2009+ upgrade for 3rd gen trucks, which also works on 2001 & 2002 trucks. It changes the Y style steering to a T style steering. The front two wheels are locked together, so when the suspension cycles it doesn't change the toe in - toe out of the tires.

Teardown and Rebuild
Lots to update here. The manifold showed up with a nice bent stud... thanks UPS. The turbo is on it's way (75/83/1.1) Might have some issues coming up with that but we'll see. I also got a bunch done today! Started around 9 and ended around 4. Here's some pictures! So almost everyone has seen a dual disc.... I took a few pictures of changing the input shaft. It's actually pretty dang quick and easy. Especially if you heat the bearing and freeze the shaft. No press work needed! Next the intercooler... Very well packaged! These next two you can see where the casting bows out to allow for more air flow, unlike the stock one. Here you can see the thickness. The mishimoto is also WAY heavier than the stock one. I'd say close to 1.5 times as heavy. Here you can see the core spacing. There are more tubes in the mishimoto than the stock one. Installed. It's a pretty tight fit! I had to "persuade" the inner fenders to get out of the way. Nothing significant though. Here's the steering. The upgrade is HUGE compared to stock. It seems very high quality but we'll see. Looks like I need to wash the truck too... the new steering makes everything look bad!

MPG loss from changing injectors
8 hole was likely giving you better mileage because it atomizes the fuel better. 7 hole don't atomize as well but usually make more power. That's why the 6x.013 is pretty popular in the performance world I have no idea who makes a set of 8 hole though....
