  1. Sounds like they had gauges. Now i would have to be there to see what is going on but i can help you with the wiring diagramsWhat fuse are you blowing and do you loose blinkers too?
  2. I have done a bunch of 6.7 delets. It will get rid of 99% of the problems. You may gain 2-3 mpg but it depends on many different things. I would go with a raceme programmer and a turbo back 4" exhaust. Its hard to find programmers right now because the epa cracked down on the companies. I have no cons to doing the delets unless you live in a emissions state
  3. Yep. Less air means more unburnt fuel. I tried the smoke switch in my young dumber days and had nothing but problems with it
  4. Thank you. I have been racking my brain trying to remember if the fittings for the filter were the same as the vp. Looks like my homemade big line kit will work as well as the a.d. hooking into the filter housing
  5. When i had my nv5600 i got into the habit of going to firsr then reverse everytime i had to go into reverse. Seemed to sync the gears better that way
  6. I will look when i get home. For some reason my phone wont bring up my fsm
  7. Personally i have seen trannies go out after getting their first flush with high miles. If you do them since new then they are less likely to go out. I have been doing trans filter, adjust bands, and replacing govenor pressure sensor and solenoids
  8. If i remember right, that means there is a fault in the a/c system
  9. I will make a write up when i do mine. As far as the clutch, my old 02 with adrenaline and 6 speed held up fine making 387/870. My buddies 5 speed making 450/1200 could not handle the power. I have installed a couple southbend ohd clutches and they are really smooth and holds the power
  10. Codes can only be cleared by a scan tool. The check engine light can turn off by itself if it sees so many trips without a problem. Sounds like the dealer cleared the codes. But i dont see why they charged you if you have warrenty. Plus we would clear codes for free because it takes 5 minutes.I read that wrong, i see you have aftermarket warranty. I would keep a copy of the complaint to prove this was happening before your warranty was up
  11. I am installing a airdog 2 165 on my personal truck and a customers truck this week. I am keeping the stock housing mostly for the water seperation. You will actually get more heat from you injector and vp return than the fuel heater in the housing. Hopefully everything will hook right into the housing. I also have a 1/2" fuel line kit that I took off my third gen that I am going to run from the stock housing to vp
  12. Every raptor pump I have installed comes with 1/2" lines. Ive done over two dozen pumps and sold probably a dozen more and have only had two go bad. Pureflow replaced them with no questions. Those pumps were during the ownership changeover
  13. I have never put anything on the fasteners and have had zero problems
  14. I have used both and have had no problems with either one. The southbend was built better, but I don't know if its worth the extra money
  15. one trick to get the push clips on the fuel lines is to use a small zip tie around the clips and that will hold it in so you don't have to try using two hands.I just ordered two airdog 165's from browns diesel out in California. Hopefully they will be here by next Friday. I am still tossing around the idea of using a sump, but I think I will wait and see what kind of pressure I am getting. That reminds me, order a fuel pressure gauge.
  16. The block is installed to replace the stock lift pump on the side of the engine. It is where the fuel lines that hooked into the pump are now hooked into. Its pretty much an adapter to hook the lines up and get fuel through.
  17. When I am by myself and need to bleed the injectors, I always use ether and I have never blown up any engines. I have done this probably 75+ times. All you need is a quick puff in the intake and usually it will bleed itself. And if your scared, unplug the intake heater relays. The only trucks I have ever had problems with using ether is ones with glow plugs and all they would do is slow down when cranking. I would check fuel pressure. I have seen many times where the lift pump went out and the vp was actually pulling fuel on a vacuum. Then when you break the seal, as in changing the fuel filter. It can't pull anymore fuel.
  18. You can go with the 165 but its not needed. And you can pull fuel strait from the stock pickup with a 150 so no need to do a draw straw
  19. Correct. Way better fuel system. Plus more reliable. Also get a fuel pressure gauge if you dont. I usually set them to 18psi at the injection pump
  20. Are you sure you dont have codes. Just because the light is off doesnt mean there isnt codes. I would suggest doing govenor pressure sensor and govenor pressure solenoid. That usually cures many problems. Also i would adjust both bands while you are thereYour trans is a 47re
  21. It eliminates the stock lift pump depending on where yours is at. It will be either on the block below the filter housing or in the tank
  22. Ok I emailed them last night and this morning I got a call from Randy. I didn't have a chance to answer since I was trying to fix a locomotive, but anyways he left a voice mail and said he had emailed me and asked if I had any more questions to give him a call. I am really impressed that he called and emailed. I hope this answers some questions, the only question I have is what is considered premium additive. Here is the email I got:Here is some testing data that we did for a trucking company from March of 2012 plus a Dyno Test from 2009 on our TDR-S with 6 Cetane numbers. Since we have done both the winterization and Dyno testing we have added more Cetane because we have found that newer engines needed the added Cetane to achieve a better fuel efficiency. Have a great week!Randy WalkerSales Director TDR-S and TDR-WDA Numbers.pdf
  23. I would suggest the airdog 150 or airdog2 165. They are really good pumps and have a lifetime warranty as long as you turn in your warranty card. I would stay away from the frrp because you want to push the fuel and you want the pump away from the vibration and heat of the engine.
