  1. Heat in the cab is the reason!
  2. Thanks. Will any year of 6.7 stat work?
  3. Once again I couldn't get the search to find what I wanted. So can someone direct me to the thread on putting a 4th gen thermostat in a. 2nd gen? Was it a 205 degree stat?
  4. Same for me. Where are you from?
  5. Was the -60 windchill factor or actual air temp?
  6. It gets pretty cold here and I do the cardboard trick in between the air cooler and the rad. I haven't proven whether it helps or not I just do it ! I want to try a 4th gen thermostat this winter.
  7. So whitelightnin are you happy with yours or would you recommend getting oem? I had aftermarket lights in my car and the light pattern was far from oem quality. Just looking at them they looked identical to originals.
  8. Anybody here familiar with these motors? We have one in our Claas silage chopper. I want to put a pyrometer on it and I'm wondering where the best location is and what the parameters are for the max temps. If nobody knows can you direct me to a source for the info?
  9. What's the fourth gen upgrade?
  10. That could be. Will have to pull it off and check.
  11. Hmmm. Just had all the hubs off and no stray grease anywhere.
  12. I've played with the level on the controller and have adjusted the brakes. There's one that's a lot weaker than the other 3. I'm thinking I might have a rusty surface where the magnet grabs on that drum so I'll look into that.
  13. We just put new brakes on our flat deck. Replaced the whole unit at each wheel and now I can barely get the wheels to skid on gravel. (which is a whole lot better than before) I've pulled other trailers that braked a lot harder so I'm wondering what to troubleshoot? How many volts should be coming from the controller? How critical is brake adjustment on these things? To me it looks like there's a lot of room for movement so it doesn't look like it's too critical. I have a Tekonsha Voyager controller.
  14. Here you go guys. I hope the link posts. http://www.cumminsforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=573451
  15. Sorry I didn't notice your posts sooner. I'll find the info and post it up.
  16. I have treadwrights and am perfectly happy with them. I'm getting some slight cracking on the sidewalls but it doesn't look like anything detrimental. I'll definitely be getting them again considering the price and all.
  17. I did my own valve body mod for second gear lock with a dab of JB weld. Now I can brake down to about 10 mph. As far as needing billet parts my feeling is I'm ok without them as long as I drive the truck myself and do it respectfully.
  18. If you ground the lead wire from the sensor the gauge should show max temp. This would maybe tell you if your wiring was correct or if the sensor was bad.
  19. In what way was the pump over worked? I'm wanting to put a sprayer together too.
  20. Mine would be too big to use without the OEM cover because it's molded to fit over top.
  21. If you have the probe post turbo I think it's 950 and if you have it preturbo it's 1250.
  22. Mine just sits over top of the steering column and I drilled little holes in it to push those little barbed rivets into. Worked great.
  23. What year and what motor in her Taureg? What sort of fuel mileage? I'm considering moving from my Passat to a TDI Taureg.
