Torque Converter Lock / Unlock Issues
I would start ohming out wires from the trans to the PCM. It should be pretty easy to tell if you need new cables. How do they look? still tight? any corrosion?

Torque Converter Lock / Unlock Issues
Did the band aid do anything? How are you battery cables looking? You said after you cleaned EVERY ground on the truck the issue went away for a bit? That really sticks out for me.

Torque Converter Lock / Unlock Issues
did they replace the solenoids?

Torque Converter Lock / Unlock Issues
Those codes are both point to a sensor issue in the trans. Have you replaced the VSS on the trans? ( its so stupid cheap you should anyways) and the lockup solenoid.

Ice Fishing Weekend
I remember ice fishing up at Lake of the Woods. Grandpa drilled 2 holes about 20 yards from each other. one line in both, basic minnow on a hook setup. I ran between the 2 holes pull up a perch every 30 seconds for a few hours straight. Hard to beat that.

2001 dodge ram 2500 v8 magnum 5.9L 4x4 5speed
If the code comes back then I would guess the code isn't specific to O2 rather saying the mixture is too rich. Vacuum leak or bad maf ( or whatever you truck uses) might cause this.

do the codes come back after you clear them? What code do you get specifically?

Have you scanned for codes? sounds to me like you have a vacuum leak or something.

Ice Fishing Weekend
I miss being able to drive out on the ice, here in CO that is not allowed, Ice was at least 18" so really no danger at all, but oh well I guess. Glad you had good luck, I was out ice fishing for 2 days and I didn't even get one bite.....enough to drive a man crazy.

when I was 10 very likely. nothing is better than sitting out on the ice fishing and seeing a father and son across the lake.....kid gets up, walks 5 feet in one direction, drops the pants right down to the ankles, places hands on the hips, and then proceeds to laser beam a stream that even supersoaker would be proud of. When you can see the arch from 200 yards, all you can do it stand up and clap for the kid. I swear little kids do it to gloat..........

I can say that once you get down to -40 and below the pee --> freeze is sort of true. It more so turns to a frozen mist..... I would guess the requirement for this is to be young though, I am not sure my "stream" would have enough pressure and distance to allow the frozen to happen. Young kids seem to be the champs when it comes to arch and distance. Ah the things you learn as a child living in the Ice Box of the nation.....

Swaybar end links?
Does the steering wheel jerk or just the truck?

P0234 and intermittent surge/loss of power
You have no tuners that do boost fooling according to your sig correct? If that is the case I would guess that your map sensor is on the way out and it is randomly suck reading a psi that is above 20. This would cause the truck to defuel and drive terrible. Do you have the ability to read live data from the ecm with a scan tool or similar? or the ability to test the map voltage when driving?

exactly converter for when on 120v source, otherwise 12v from the battery. No idea on the volts per usage. I guess we will see. I made my 7 pin cable too short so no it didn't charge, but that was cause it wasn't plugged in feel kinda stupid. Yea the propane puts off some moisture, had to keep most windows cracked, but it stayed dry the 2nd day after I changed the window openness.

The converter puts out exactly 12.0v Battery does not charge via 120v --> 12v convertor. I have the battery wired with a kill switch that allows me to plug into the 7 pin trailer wiring and charge on the road when driving then disconnect the battery from the truck so as to not drain the truck batteries. everything I have read shows 12.1 as %50 am I reading things wrong? Heater worked very well and dried off my VERY wet boots overnight.

I am running 12v power. the old converter was a 6 amp converter so I upgraded that with a Server power supply that puts out 26 amps at a stable 12v. I have a group 31 that worked well last weekend. after a full weekend of camping with running the radio and lights I measured the battery when I got home and showed 12.3ish I removed the forced air system because it takes 12v to run. I installed a ventless heater that requires only propane. Keeps the camper toast even well below 32*F. worked really well this weekend. If / when I do plug into 120v it will still work the same, but I don't care to charge the battery. I have a smart changer already that I can just plug in and have it charge the battery, but I would rather not install that into the camper as I need it for other things.

Battery held strong at 12.2-12.3v after 2.5 days of lights, radio and charging devices. Pretty dang happy with that. burned about 1/2 bottle of propane heating the camper for 2 days / nights in near 0 temps. Couple of issues, broke the overhead vent thanks to the lovely 11 mile res winds. Also the front vinyl window is pulling out. It was glued in, but that is not working. Gotta figure out how to get that window back in place permanently.

Yep it will. However we opened each of the windows last night about 1" and there is no longer a moisture issue.
