  1. It's utter bull. The mm3 writes a custom tune to the ecm then the ecm outputs the fueling and timing command to the vp44. Now the edge intercepts that signal, changes it and resends it to the vp to increase fueling and timing. It does also do wiretap fueling by tapping the pump and commanding the fueling solenoid directly. So you have the expensive custom tune from the mm3 being changed by the edge's internal maps and configuration. It's just dumb. Don't stack these tuners. the only thing you should stack a mm3 with is a tst comp. To go a big deeper into this, the edge is doing boost fooling, which means it limits the boost reading the ecm see's to a max of ~14 psi. This means your expensive mm3 tune is not even able to use the full map as your max boost reading the ecm see's is 14 psi. It's a terrible configuration. Whats the point of a custom tune if you are just going to change that custom tune using the edge? Whats the point of a custom tune if you are just going to limit your fueling maps between 0-14 psi? This article covers stacking tuners.
  2. Dunno try it and see how you like it.
  3. I dont understand the point of stacking the edge on mm3. You paid a pretty penny for your mm3 custom tune, why would you want to throw that out the window and run the edge tune on top? Both boxes need the datalink. Honestly i would run one or the other not both. Stacking is something that was done 5-10 years ago, not now. What you want is possible if you run splitter wires on the datalink, but again i dont understand the point. You paid for mm3 use it, ditch the edge.
  4. Well we agree'd. All parties are happy.
  5. Now just haggling over the total cost after inspection. I think the buyer knows that my give a damn is at near low levels lolol.
  6. Inspection came back pretty good. Drain is in pretty good shape.
  7. 1693 is not a pump code, it is just a code saying you have another code in the other computer.
  8. I think it would be wasted effort to try and replace the spring and cover. the plastic is so brittle on the rest of it that I would guess it would break trying to replace it.
  9. thats the data link plug, it connects to the flat 3 pin adapter in the image of that VERY old xzt box.
  10. Iat doesnt play a big role on normal operation. Left it out because stock didnt appear to use it.
  11. Its cast iron. there is a tree semi close, but not overly close. Drain speed has never been an issue. I am more worried about 60 years of use and never had it cleaned haha. oh well I will just deal with it as it comes.
  12. I think something else is up. you need more injector for sure, but something is off.
  13. I am most concerned about the waste pipe they are scoping which has not been touched in ~30+ years lol I am sure they are going to want to bore it out. I have been pumping boiling water down the pipes all day.
  14. Thanks, My house inspection is tomorrow, I hope they don't find anything I need to fix in my current house.
  15. It won't harm anything its just pointless.
  16. The quad will over write the timing completely and alter the canbus fueling message per the tune you built. there is no point in putting a superchip on it as the quad can make a better tune for your truck without any help.
  17. its very likely a 47rh. I very much doubt someone converted it to a RE
  18. 500 up to 550 on the hot side. I would ask your vendor about the exhaust side. I prefer the .7 but I am willing to give up top end in lue of bottom end.
  19. I'd do a 62 and prep for compounds down the road.
  20. just turn it to lvl 0. the canbus routine is disabled on lvl 0
  21. nothing n the logs show an issue. Id like to see a deg or 2 more timing at 1500, but it shouldn't be bad. does it do it on lvl 0 vs lvl 3?
  22. His turbo is a good bit bigger, but it sounds like there is significant air leaking somewhere
  23. what year is the truck? Looks like either a 47re or 47rh
