Got a Urea Burner yesterday
I kind of figured every thing is top dollar in no man's land, supply and demand. I am sure the USFS should have no problem paying for it, they will just raise our taxes

Got a Urea Burner yesterday
Thanks for the compliments guys and M73M for the gloom and doom . I am going up in fuel mileage by about 8 MPG, so a gallon or 2 every 10,000 miles is not going to be all that awful. I read you can get it elsewhere for like $2.50 per gallon. Today I had it idling and took a look at the tail pipe, it is still shiny new inside at 700 miles, and it emits no odor once it is warmed up, it smells like the draft hood of a gas furnace.I am sure I am going to enjoy the ease of driving this and working out of it, but I will always have a place in my heart for Big Blue Got her 11 years ago, when my vision was 20/20 and my hair was still all brown. (2001 MY built in early 2000)I will post some pics when I get it all equipped, built a custom ladder rack today, will be able to store the ladder inside with no roof rack, should be able to maintain the 19 MPG with the streamline of the vehicle.

Got a Urea Burner yesterday
I know this wont be all that impressive amongst the soot blowing high torque Cummins crowd. But I had enough of shifting Big Blue and climbing into a high truck (getting near 50), the DOT stops, and the fact that it was more work to drive Big Blue. So I bought an unimpressive V-6 Diesel. I wish an American company would make something like this, and I thought Ford or Chevy would have copied it, but no such luck, so here it is. And Dodge dropped out of the Van business for now, maybe they will be the ones to make a high van, if they drop back in? file:///tmp/moz-screenshot.png

Fueled up at BP today
I have no shame fueling at BP because of the accident, I prefer fueling at stations that are not under Jihadist management or over seas Jihadist ownership. If there was a Hess, I would have went there. The used to be a list of non Arab owned fuel companies on line, any one know about this?

Fueled up at BP today
I was crossing the Hudson River and noticed I was down to an 8th of a tank, I soon would be headed off the beaten track and had 2 choices to get fuel after I crossed the bridge. I have Citgo run by some Moolah Jihadists, or BP run by some 2nd and 3rd generation Arab Americans, so I picked BP. I fuelled up, then I went into pay, I asked how is business as BP now a days, he said we are going back to Mobil in 2 weeks if that answers your question. He said it is not our fault. I replied it was just a bad accident, nothing no one can do about it now, take care.

No more Dodge Sprinter Van
Yeah, lucky for us, it is the top tube with the foil tape on it. These vans are known for CAC hose and resonator leaks causing a limp mode. Actually there is a vendor that sells improved parts http://www.upscaleauto.com/sprinter_parts.htm BTW, I asked the Parts guy over the phone at Albany Dodge if Dodge was going to make a new van, and he said no.

No more Dodge Sprinter Van
ISX it just so happens to be your lucky day, and my unlucky day, the turbo hose going into the intake split, and my tech said the van had no power, it went into "limp home mode" Any ways we taped it up and ordered a new hose, in the mean time I got the pics, Please don't ask for any more pics you jinxed me .

No more Dodge Sprinter Van
It is an employee van, I never got all that enthusiastic to take pics, but I will find you some if I can?

No more Dodge Sprinter Van
I own one, and if you did not put a ladder rack on the roof you could squeak out 25 MPG, we get in the low 20s with wind resistance, we have the original 5 cylinder inline version. The new versions have a V6 and can only get as high as 19 MPG. I would buy another one, and it does not have to have the Dodge logo on it, and agreed it is not a pretty looking van, but no one else offers any thing like it. Actually if it were available in the US at the time I bought my Freightliner I would have bought one of them instead. Makes me wonder what Dodge is going to do for a van, it is 2010 and so far they have not done a thing?

No more Dodge Sprinter Van
It seems that since the divorce of Mercedes and Chrysler and the new marriage to Fiat, MB has pulled the plug on Dodge Sprinter vans? Oh well we can still get the MB and the Freightliner versions I guess? http://usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/cars-trucks/Mercedes-Benz_Sprinter/

tq converter lock / unlock idea
I heard this is done pretty easy with Fords, but I am not sure how it compares?

Tappet cover gasket
Geez, it did not even take me an hour to pull the cover, adjust the valves, and put the cover back on, I have a new gasket, but did not even need it. Unless you are talking about another cover.

Broke my brake line
Yup alot of spaghettios buried under that cowl. I have to stand on the tie rods to reach the engine, and on top of the engine to wash the windshield.
