  1. Hahaha - almost 2 years and never heard u vent like that ;) about time !!! Horse to water and all that
  2. Never had a super b - had a hy35, hx35 and SHX40. About to put a he351cw on in next couple weeks. Great thing about a super b is its a 57/65/14 - but its upgradeable and can be used in twins. I think a super B would be an awesome option - but its a little costly new, and then you have to pay to upgrade. There are so many options - and everyone has preferences based on experience. I REALLY like by HX40 .... but it is a little laggy until it hits over 6psi ....... don't notice it too much except a little black smoke and sure its hitting my MPG around ton - so gonna go with the the he351cw. So apart from the hx35 which I think is best bang for buck to handle under 350hp HP your probably looking at these as upgrades (no DP) (new) $750 for hx35/40 $1100 for super-b $1300 for a 62/x/x - HTT/DTECH/II or (used) $600 he351cw (with parts required) $800 super-b $900-$1100 62/x/x - HTT/DTECH/II I would go this order for the cost/HP hx35 ~ 350 HP he351cw ~ 450 HP phatshaft/special b 62 (or equiv) ~ 550 HP pepsi I think ran a hx35/40 hybrid and loved it - so that sounds good to me - I just never have and couldn't justify the cost over a he351cw
  3. thx dripley I couldnt remmeber Yeha go with Jacob at DAP - hes good people and has some of the best prices also
  4. Yeah but the 300 includes 200 worth of downpipe and gasket and vband ... So it's only 100 for the back 4" flange ;)
  5. Personally I only use diesel auto power (Jacob) or cumminsperformanceparts (Jamie) .... Recommend both - if dap is a sponsor here ? Can't remember then check them out.
  6. 4" modification to hx35/hy35 and other turbos http://www.dieselsupplywarehouse.com/HX40-ADAPTOR-AND-HX40-DOWNPIPE-HXADAP.htm
  7. take the adrenaline off and see if any difference. If none ..... probably not thatIf just slight difference check your vp44 tap
  8. PLus its one of the more 'cooler' monitors. Someone says I was running 2400 rpm kinda sounds dull compared to 24 psi. But really - just like everyone else said its a really good monitor of whats happening in your engine. As EGT alone wont show you how much air your pushing and other problems or changes in the truck. I think boost and egt are really all I look at 90% of the time.
  9. I got the original AD100 - so 15psi and 11 WOT ...... spring is only way to adjustIm pretty sure mike said the return valve opens around 10psi - so makes sense over 10 is where to be ......
  10. like this ? http://www.genosgarage.com/prodinfo.asp?number=BORG-800112
  11. I AGREE x2 !! And even better pepsi/Izy - sell me that 62 for $500 and Ill get it working for ya ! Jokes aside .... man that sucks - I was gonna say put on a different chip - but youve done that as well as apps and new injectors ... best thing I can think of now is compression test ? If your sure no boost leak - and you've lost 10psi ...... then compression I think rogan or someone here has a writeup on it
  12. ahhhh - light dawns on place red face !!! lmao - just saw your pic again and now I see that - thx bro
  13. What do you do if you ever take them out ? What I mean is - assume as you loosen the nut - it will just back off the top of the thread - but the stud is still sitting in the block ??
  14. Go for rockauto if they have the part/price another option http://www.dieselmanor.com/dm_products/DM-CLG2.asp
  15. http://www.spohn.net/shop/1994-1999-Dodge-Ram-4x4/Steering-Box-Stabilizer-Brace-1994-2002-Dodge-Ram-4x4-1500-2500-3500.html ? I had heard these are really worth the money Direct fit on stock truck without snowplow ?
  16. So since its a stud - it has no head/bolt on it right ? So how are these installed ? I also heard on some you had to TAP the bottom of the block out to hold the extra thread of the stud ? --- Update to the previous post... did some reading so looks like you can pull existing bolts out and do 1-by-1 as long as new gaskett which I have (1+ year). Then replace with stud and hand tighten. Then washers/stud head and torque to 90ft lbs Then do all in sequence inner to outer Then retorque all to 115 ft pounds - same sequnce heat cycle retorque to 125 ft lbs - same sequence
  17. yeah its the breaking in the block part that worries me. Just from what I have read there is a lot of debate on when you need headstuds. A lot of guys that do it for a living seem to think the stock bolts and a flat deck torqued to 90ftlbs + 90 degree ~ 125ft lbs is a great way to go until you get over 50psi and pushing higher HP - then really o-rings. Id hate to put $600-$1000 worth of headstuds in and still have a failure ......
  18. thats interesting hmm - will have to check after I get the he351cw in (only a 9cm exhaust outlet so will spool quick) - but she does spool relatively well - I can get to 20psi pretty quick ....... but still running 900 without towing up a big hill. Yeah have a boost elbow - hence 30-32 psi. Id love to try a different CAM - but $$ - the methanol STAGE II and HE351cw both cost $1200 ... if I dont like that setup both are comming out for II or similar 62mm and new head bolts.
  19. Yeah thats how I originally ran it - with my stage 1 kit - but this way I can keep the 1 gallon tank which looks cool and the pump up front - rather than pushing h20 over 20ft. from bed.
  20. That hx35 must be better than I remember - I only ran it for like a week and then replaced with the hx40. Got the he351cw sitting here for ages - and going to get it both on with the methanol. Then I thinj even running plain h20 I will get the benefits of fast spool with good ~60mm compressor ... and stage III to kick in if I get near 1100 Anyway - interesting ..... Think you mentioned to me you saw no difference really on the 3x goerand versus the 3x revmax if I remember right ??
  21. hmmmm still dont get this I have a hx40 with 60mm compressor and 16cm exhaust - and with just 75+INJ and powerpuck I can hit 1200-1300 easily towing my fifth wheel up a large hill ...... 25-30psi boost I loved my my hX35 but how would the hX35 handle that ??? You must be at least a extra 75HP than me and also less air ? Im getting ready to swap it out for a HE351cw with a STAGEIII methanol kit
  22. Anything wrong with this idea.Going to have a small 1 gallon tank and pump up front for my methanol injection. But I want a larger reservoir so was going to GRAVITY feed a 7 GALLON sitting in my truck bed to the front via 1/4" OD tubing .... Anything wrong with the idea ? CLICK PIC BELOWBetter ideas ?
  23. Any advice - just thinking of doing it - just from what I have read.My head was replaced 1 yr back and decked and also a new gaskett.
  24. Add another to the MIA list Wish I could take the time to clean the cowel insulation up - eveytime I am working with the valve cover off and I bump it - crap goes everywhere and that makes me nervous.
  25. hey man ok - i haven't paid attention to your sig for a while - but enquiring minds are asking 100HP inj Smarty and xzt stack ? jhook ?? Surely you can't be towing that much weight and that much fuel on a hy ?? Im looking for the 62 compressor here ?
