  1. Hmm, that sounds slightly lower then what I get with my probe pre turbo. It doesn't take long to tap a new one.
  2. I agree, I think the valve body is key. I think people were throwing triple discs into stock trans and not doing anything else and snapping shafts. That just goes to show that you have to upgrade everything accordingly. You don't have to agree with Dynamic, that's just his preference and he's able to setup a truck just fine with a triple disc and stock shafts. I think single disc still have a market, just think they're a lot smaller and a lot of the time, if you're going to upgrade, might as well go to a triple for only a couple hundred more. As for @wagntagn, I wouldn't even bother tackling your truck back to the first trans shop unless you think they'll do some sort of warranty type stuff. Sounds like the most recent place knows what they're talking about so why not let them wrench on things?
  3. Oh boy... You never mentioned anything about running a Smarty. That can be a really quick recipe for disaster on a stock or close to stock trans due to how aggressive they fuel down low. If you were running it on level 9 for any good amount of time, especially towing or hot-rodding (even a little bit!) then it could be too late for your stock trans. I'd recommend putting all power levels back to stock and see if that makes the truck driveable so you can at least use it as a mode of transportion if need be until you can get it rebuilt. As as far as triple disc converters, @Dynamic won't install anything else in these trucks even at STOCK power levels. The trucks just put out too much torque for a single disc to do a good enough job even at stock levels.
  4. I guess I'm going to have to go out and try this now!
  5. Jeez! Super shocks! hahah I'm looking to go to 4th gen wheels with 285/70/17 and a 1in lift.
  6. That 285 setup is callin to me! Looks really good!! That on stock height suspension?
  7. 2000rpms is right where your Cummins likes to be! Vulcan, Genos, DAP, rock auto are my top vendors of choice.
  8. Better start checking in more often or else @dripley is gonna take you out back and... well ya know!
  9. If air is in the supply side of the system and it's not related to fuel level then that sort of eliminates anything in the tank, at worst, very high up on the supply side so I'd think either the fitting itself, the hose clamp could be loose, or maybe a pinhole in a hose somewhere (which should spray fuel), but either way, finding out what's consistent with your issue should help pinpoint the issue more easily.
  10. I doubt it's an issue with your FASS return since the DS5 kit supplies a long enough tube and is all the way at the bottom of the fuel basket. The problem I've run into is that the stock return line from the VP and injectors get's snipped in the process of installing the DS5 and so once fuel levels get a little low, or you park on a decent incline, the fuel will sit lower then the stock return line is, so it'll allow air into the system. This might be what you're experiencing but maybe not. Just figured I'd share my findings so it might make it easier for you to figure out yours. I can post pics later if that'd help.
  11. If anything the threads will be different for the fittings themselves. I know for a fact the return line fitting won't fit so I'd imagine it's the same situation for the rest. Otherwise should be a pretty straight forward swap, would be easiest to just go with the FASS.
  12. Why the switch? I'm on 315's now and trying to get down to 285's but probabaly on 17's. Track bar wont fix outer wear, that's more then likely due to a bad alignment. It will center your axle (left to right that is) and help get rid of the need to constantly correct steering while turning, especially on bumpy roads. You can run 08+ style steering on 16in wheels but they need a decent amount of offset, can't remember off the top of my head how much but I think most aftermarket that'll fit the truck will come with the neccesary offset but don't quote me on that lol.
  13. How deep does your return tube from this VP/injectors go into the fuel module?
  14. Is it the fitting holding the suction to the tank or the actual fitting to hose connection that's loose? In theory the fitting could be loose in through the hole on the top of the tank but as long as the hose/suction fittings were tight it still shouldn't introduce air into the system.
  15. Distance isnt the issue, it's the time off work and renting a trailer for that time. We have a yearly camping trip we do beginning of August so that makes it harder to justify the time and expense.
  16. Wish I was able to make it! I'm sure you guys will have a great time!
  17. @jlbayes gotcha! So how does the 6 vs 7 hole compare to each other in the 'cleaner burning' category?
  18. Oh ok, definitely heard of them then. Do they do 'normal' injectors? Like 7x.010's? Their website starts at 6x.011's I think and just goes crazy from there haha
  19. Haven't heard of them, where are they out of? I've been thinking of seeing if Haley Speed Innovations makes some more mild injectors compared to what they typically put out. Never heard anything bad about them and they're somewhat local.
  20. Well now you have to tell us who your builder is
  21. Do what this man is suggesting!! He's not just telling you for fun. Reset your apps using the write up in the article section here and once that's done, verify tv cable adjustment by doing what was mentioned by Dynamic. Sorry if this sounds hard but you've been given excellent advice and are still out doing your own thing, possibly making this worse, since you're smelling a burning transmission. Fix what's been suggested quickly before you cost yourself some major coin.
  22. I'm sorta anal when it comes to my 2stroke. I'd wait until I topped off then add the 34-35oz (however many gallon tank you have) to make sure I got as much i there as possible. Otherwise you'll always be slightly under the ratio overall.
  23. Jeez! Would've just been easier if you hit the sucker! lol I would've done the same exact thing though, and then been *****'n and moanin about the clean up.
