  1. I called advance and asked them to check another box for foam and it didn’t have it either so I guess that’s not included any longer. I went back out and got it in and all back together. Ended up popping the dash cover off very easily to put the top 5 screws back in. Temp got up to 140 on the test drive so I’m happy with it.
  2. Now that ive pulled it all apart, I think I could have easily popped the cover off. I got it tore all down and the new heater core did not have a foam surround so I did not put it in. Im waiting for the replacement tomorrow.
  3. This bezel was perfect when I got the truck. Took it off to install a radio my dad got me for Christmas and it broke when I was just holding it in my hands. Ill eventually put a new bezel and and dash top on it.
  4. It ain’t purdy but I got them all drilled and screws out. Of course, on the last hole the dash cover started to come up. I should have tried that first but didn’t think it would come up easily. Oh well, dash matches the rest of the truck now.
  5. Heater core in the 98 was steaming up the windows and would barely get to 120 over the winter so I need to replace it. I had every intention of replacing it later this year before it got cold out but im going to Colorado for a week at the end of this month and its in the 30's at night with high's in the 50's so im gonna swap it out this week. Ive ordered a TYC core and its supposed to be here Wednesday. The problem i foresee is the dash in this truck has a cover over it and the screws have been covered up. Im pretty sure I need to remove those screws but I dont know their exact location. I think the best way will be to use a small hole saw just above the screw but I need some help from a fellow member to find the exact spots the screws are in. If anyone could measure their dash from side to side and mark where the screws are and how far from the windshield they are, I would be greatly appreciative.
  6. Power went out about half hour ago so I went and opened up the dynatrap and this is what we have 9 days later. A whole bunch or mosquitoes, moths, various other bugs and even a few june bugs.
  7. I remember those axle tube seals when I was into jeeps. They are for keeping mud and other debris out.
  8. Yes, thats the cad. The vent tube is the hose in the middle of the pic that runs up the frame, next to the brake lines.
  9. Jack it up and the oil should run to the driver side.
  10. Thanks Dave, I forgot about the cad.
  11. All thread will need to be a little longer than your passenger tube and knuckle. Both have to come out since you cant get to the seal without pulling the ring gear.
  12. I get a small bottle of the mopar additive, its probably a 4oz bottle
  13. Mike is right. Get a long piece of all thread and some nuts with washers as close to the size of your seal, without being bigger than your seal so you can pull the seals tight from the inside out. Its not a hard job but there are alot of parts to remove.
  14. I have to either put it in the back yard or front and my front yard isnt that big. Im gonna leave it around front for another couple weeks. Bug sprayer sprayed the lawn for mosquitoes today so hopefully we will be bug free for a while.
  15. Funny, they used to ship it. I ordered some while I lived in flordia back in 2013 or so. Good to know about the RedLine being local, I couldnt find any local when I was looking. I had planned on running RedLIne but had to make a trip to Ok city so thought id stop and get some.
  16. I haven’t opened this thing up yet but I have peaked through the cage and it has trapped a lot of mosquitoes and moths in just the few days it’s been running. I’m still getting ate up outside but I think it just hasn’t had enough time to catch up yet. I’ll get a pic or two when I do open it up in a few weeks
  17. I did not pull it off but did run my fingers down in it and its clean.
  18. Mine has fibers on the dirty side too but not on the clean side. My air box is spotless
  19. Either way, I wouldnt drive it any more until that filter was replaced.
  20. I use the Napa gold 6272 but Its never let any dust though, and I check every couple thousand miles. It probably has 8k miles on it.
  21. Yep, all the tow mirrors I have had have been flat. Ive had aftermarket and mopar.
  22. The 2nd gen style I have now are both flat. Can't remeber if the OE was convex or not. I am thinking not since the tow mirrors have the small convex mirror. The oe sport mirror on the passenger side was convexed but no 3rd or 4th gens are. I stopped and got a square of foam from hobby lobby and stuffed a little piece I cut off behind the passenger mirror and the vibration is all gone.
  23. When I redid a racecar trailer I bought to move with, I used some Gaco I got from a roofer buddy of mine. He also told me that Black Jack from Home Depot is good stuff with a 50 year warranty at about $200 for 5 gallon bucket.
