  1. The keys were probably locked in at some point and thye did a number on the door trying to get it open.
  2. IDK how the quad cabs are setup but how does the front door latch closed? My extended cab has a striker that the door catches. I loosened it ad moved it towards the the drivers seat a bit and tightened my door up perfect.
  3. I like it! Welcome to the fam
  4. I, like Mike, have always used napa. I see people recommending cummins only and it makes me mental. I went to cummins for a 190* for my 98 24v and they wanted $90. I went to napa and got one for $22 and it worked great. My 2012 came with a 200* and after I deleted it I used a 190* from napa with zero issues. 24v t-stat is so easy to change that if they do fail, I could do 3-4 napa and still be cheaper than cummins
  5. Since you already have the s&b cai, they also have a dry filter that can be used. I ran s&b dry filter on my 95 after compounds and it did its job well.
  6. Maybe the one I bought was only a single core then. I t was not as thick as the old copper style in my 95
  7. Ditch that bar and upgrade to the newer style. I have used BD on both my 98's with great results. Used Thuren on a 3rd gen and Carli on my 4th gen and both of those bars were good too but they do not allow for adjustment on the truck. Im a stickler for the axle being centered so the BD being adjustable on the truck makes it much much easier.
  8. Gotta look closely at the cheapos, some are only 2 core. I bought one from advanced a few years ago and it was a 2 core, returned it and got a 3 core murray from oreilly
  9. I just rebuilt a he351ve and wish I had taken pics of the center section before I cleaned it up. I got this turbo in 2016 from a diesel shop and supposedly the guy never changed his oil in 90k miles. This stuff was nasty but somehow the bearings weren’t too bad. Anyway, this is why we change oil regularly
  10. I dont believe the plug comes completely out. From my experience, most leak after opening so you have to get under there and tighten and loosen a little till you find the sweet spot.
  11. It should turn probably half a rotation and then pull back and drain. It may only be a quarter though
  12. @LorenSI don’t think it’s allowed to talk about without showing pics.
  13. Merry Christmas to all my cummins brethren

  15. I had the same issue with smarty and my 98.5. I worked everytime but I had to disconnect the battery terminals with any changes. I had a buddy at the dodge dealer that set the tire size for me for free though. I have spoken with a couple other dealers about setting tire size for my current 98 and as usual that tried to rob me.
  16. Night and cold always make it look worse than it is. If it isnt using oil, id say your good to go.
  17. How is that done Mike? Just use a battery equalizer?
  18. No. One of mine was broken anyway so I didnt go back with them. The batteries set nice and tight in the trays and havent had any problem with them moving. Ill get out a get some pics for yall. There is room front to back but side to side is tight. They are a bit taller but don’t hit hood
  19. I went with group 65 in mine. They are a little taller and wider but fit in the tray fine and have more cca's
  20. Beautiful up there but I wouldnt want to try it without 4wd. Im a southern boy and dont know that I could do it with 4wd. Whats wrong with yours?
  21. Redline MT-85 is supposed to be good stuff. I use stuff from Blumenthal out of Oklahoma city, they used to ship but not sure anymore
  22. I have been looking at those amazon winches. I had a warn on my old CJ7 but I dont want to spend big money on something that wont get used regularly. These are two i was tossing around https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01FU5QL1Q/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_1?smid=ACUHLP5MR9DM8&psc=1 https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00K150X3I/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_2?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1
  23. Check out Amazon for some TYC housings. I got a set for about $80 for both. Mike, did you do a write up on your projectors? Im thinking about stepping up to them and dont know if I want to nuy a pre built set from the retro shop or build a set
