  1. Where do I get a banjo bolt like you have? I would like to get away from this isolator. I think it's the reason for low pressure reading. Time out, I have the quick connect fitting on vp. What's next? Any Pics
  2. Mike, what do you do drill and tap banjo bolt and what size is it. I ask because I still have the icalotor on my truck that I put on there 3-4 years ago. It cant be reading right, back when I had my AD100 in I made a washer to boost psi 17 and It did ok for a while and it went right back to 14.50 some times less. So I bought my 150 and I put the spring for 17 psi and it stayed up there for a while and it came down to 14.50 again. The spring is not getting stuck on the ball in pump so that's all I came up with.
  3. I have to say I have not seen Palo Duro canyon, it would be on the way to Colorado though.
  4. You say your wife was backing it in, thats when you will hear ujoints squeak.
  5. I started checking out other states and it just came to me, getting out of Tx sucs. So many miles of stuff I have seen for 52 years . SouthWest Tx is kinda ok down around Big Bend but miles of nothing before you get there. :think:Might just get on a plane go blow some money in Vages and be done with it.
  6. Are precision U-joints made by Moog???Man I hope not, and to make it worse if it is true shop put Moog in.
  7. I have a lot more dislikes about this auto than likes that's for sure.
  8. Thanks for the tip,
  9. I know precision aint it. I let a friend replace the ujoints and carrier bearing in my 01 because I didnt have time and I swore he bent my drive shaft. So I took it to drive line co. and they said faulty ujoints. I said your kidding me right? I had never heard of it but he told me it happens more than you think. Austin Drive Line used Moog at that time. - - - Updated - - - I know precision aint it. 10. Heck I do that every day at 11245lbs and getting 15.75 mpg with no electronic help
  11. This was several years ago, it did throw 216 but no cel had to hook scaner to pull code. I did bleed lines in the parking lot and it started and idle so I had brakes to tow home.
  12. Were looking to just hit the road with the 05, no plans just drive, stay at motels and such. We both hate crowds although would like to see yellowstone again. I missed it the first time I went there, those little brown bottles kept falling at my feet and couldnt walk very well, or ride:lmao:
  13. The wife and I been wanting to take a road trip and I was wondering what Wyoming is like and when should a Texan get the h--- out of there before it starts snowing
  14. Well leave it to me to be the only one with all the bad luck. :lmao:Mine started acting like it was running out of fuel so I pulled in fueled it up of course it only held small amount. 4hrs later I was pulling it home
  15. Turning the a/c off will let it come down a little more a little faster. This morning it was 76, I started it up and idle for 2 min or so and it comes up to 250 with cold eng. 300 is as low as it will go in 5 min. I am going to let it ilde longer and just see how long it takes and if it will get below 300.
  16. Here it is, it's 101 degrees at 5:00pm and I have been driving all hwy miles with very few red lights. At 68 mph it's 715-725 pull a slight hill and it's 800 easy. At 60 I have 700 and 5psi boost. I get home and idle down the road a little less than 1/4 mile and it's 425, set in drive with out A/C and idle for 5 min. 300 is as low as she will go. Maybe if I idle a little longer it may come down more I have Auto Meter gauges, are they cheep gauges and possible off a little. Pyro prob is in the back half of manifold at #4.
  17. I will time it a little closer tomorrow, I have to go to Austin about 2pm and it should be about 100 plus degree about then.
  18. Mrtowman keep up the hope, there are people out there who still try to do the next right thing
  19. I pull off the hwy and it's about 1/4 mile to the drive, in my 01 I just slip it in neutral and coast to the drive and it's down to 250 no problem. The 05, I shut the a/c off when I exit the hwy and it will come down to 375 and just hang there until it just idles for a good five min. after 5 min it will get below 300. And yes when it's not at running temp it will cool down faster, we are seeing 100 days. Thanks for the input
  20. I just got my gauges and when coming off hwy empty ready to park it, I idle for five min. and it will only cool down to 375 is this normal?
  21. That's what I was told today, he said dont be freaked out when it hit's 1300 under a load. :ahhh:I had no Idea it would get even higher.
  22. I am no stranger to getting fuel mileage, maybe not the best but I can get 16.25 mpg hwy and town with my 11125 lbs welding truck with stock eng. and no tuner stock inj.My 05 is out in left feild for some reason, I have gotten 16 in my 05 when mostly hwy driveing. It just sucks fuel when in town.
  23. So I finally got my gauges pyro, boost and trans, fuel will have to come later. Egt's are higher than my 01. I can set and idle after coming off the hwy seems like a long time before the temp will come down to 250. Running empty at 60mph with some rolling hill she runs 675, have not got her on flat hwy yet. But my fuel mileage is in the can again 13.75 and I thought I was taking it easy on it. I didnt fuel up at my usual place this time, I hope that's it. I am also running Amsoil concentrate, I got a case of the stuff might as well burn it.This is a auto trans so I might suffer a little on mileage due to that I guess. I got a double deep trans pan I need to get put on. Cost for gauge's install and trans pan (I install Hytech pan) was 800.00 from Diesel Performance Outfitters of Tx. His name is Jared and he's a pretty straight up guy, oh and he's only 5 miles down the road
  24. I used to like ACDelco but I am starting to think otherwise. I am in the auto gate buss and use a lot of marine batt. and I am starting to have a lot of warr. calls. Also my fan clutch (Acdelco) is about 10 months old and she just went south. Bought a new clutch today and it is made by Hayden, anybody ever heard of them? And cost was 120.00 plus tax
