  1. Every word is true. :smart:We left one out, if you keep crossing your eyes like that they will stick.
  2. . A centrifuge is really the only way to remove all or near all of the soot.
  3. Yea, it's my mother's car she past away back in April. It's hard to decide because both cars are in good shape. And yea I run Amsoil in my lawn mower too. Change it every two years. I own 12 gas powered and 3 diesel powered motors. If you put a pencil to it I spend 55 hours a year doing nothing but changing oil. Buy running Amsoil I have cut that time in half.
  4. Like Mike said, if your 99 has a five speed, then the 01 needs to be a five speed also. If the 01 is a six speed then it is a high out put motor and it will not work on you 99 five speed because it is a standard out put.
  5. Ok I have a tough decision, keep my mothers 99 Pontiac Sunfire with 50k miles on it or keep my 02 Toytoa Crolla with 170k. Both are in real good condition. Both need all belts and hoses which ever one I keep. Both have been on Amsoil, eng. and trans.I guess this is like a poll question.
  6. What housing does the 1212 fit? Or does it fit a AD 150?
  7. God works through mysterious people in the audience :lmao:
  8. I hope you have better luck than I. If you spring a leak and your loaded, I hope you have good landing gears because you aint moving.
  9. Good to know. Did you change the crossover tubes, or did you mark up and down on the tube?
  10. Thats a good idea on bending the last coil. I have been needing to do this on mine for a while now. I am running 15 at idle and 14.50 hwy speed. Does the samething when I just turn on the key 16.50 -17. 17.50 is what it ran when new. I still have my old washer set up from my AD 100, I was thinking of putting it back in. But I belive your right on with bending the spring.
  11. You couldnt have said it any better.
  12. I knew the cable would be to easy. It is still under warranty so I guess I will try. I know what they will say though, we could not find anything. If you put your foot in it it will shift just fine but when you just have thr throttle cracked it will skip 2nd and go straight to third give it a little more throttle and it will down shift to 2nd then up shift right on through the gears.
  13. One day I am going to just show up on Mike's door step and see if he will give me a tour of the place. And if nothing else there is a lot to see on the way.
  14. I was not happy, very bad set up. Hangers in bad location some with no location. Poor. I called to give them a piece of my mine and the line was full :lol:Tail pipe way to short. My fender gets black fast the way it was, If I left it the way they sent it it would melt it off. I cut the new tail pipe off at the bend then cut my stock miter cut tail pipe off and welded it up. I like it, looks good, at least it's not just squared off. So I will fab up the rest of it tomorrow. I hate the muffler clamps, I use stainless band clamps when possible, that way you can get it apart easily if need be.When it sounds to good to be true it usually is Spend a little more and have less headache:smart: If you want to know the brand I will pm you. I dont wont to slam anybody publicly, I know some make a living selling parts. Now I feel bad not posting it.
  15. I have heard that and it never dawned on me I will check. I just figured it was changed when they made it a 48r.
  16. Little Sally led off: "I sold girl scout cookies and I made $30" she said proudly, "My sales approach was to appeal to the customer's civil spirit and I credit that approach for my obvious success." "Very good" said the teacher. Little Jenny was next: "I sold magazines" she said, "I made $45 and I explained to everyone that magazines would keep them up on current events." "Very good, Jenny" said the teacher.. Eventually, it was Little Johnny's turn. The teacher held her breath ..... Little Johnny walked to the front of the classroom and dumped a box full of cash on the teacher's desk. "$2,467" he said. "$2,467!" cried the teacher, "What in the world were you selling?" Toothbrushes" said Little Johnny. "Toothbrushes" echoed the teacher, "How could you possibly sell enough tooth brushes to make that much money?" "I found the busiest corner in town" said Little Johnny, "I set up a Dip & Chip stand, I gave everybody who walked by a free sample." They all said the same thing, "Hey, this tastes like dog crap!" Then I would say, "It is dog crap. Wanna buy a toothbrush? I used the President Obama method of giving you something crappy, dressing it up so it looks good, telling you it's free, and then making you pay to get the bad taste out of your mouth." Little Johnny got five stars for his efforts, bless his heart...
  17. I will doble check but I belive it is right about 1000.
  18. I had a oil type so called cold air intake and I can tell you first hand mine was (junk). I had oil and dirt stuck to the fins on the turbo. Had to pull precooler and flush, went with a BHAF and been really happy with it. It had holes in the filter you could drive a truck through.I have a heat sheild on mine but from all the test folks here have done here it really dont matter. I am sure someone here will come on board and fill you in with more info than I have.
  19. Thank ya, I know nothing about these auto's. I need to figure out what I need to do here so please anyone with knowledge on the subject please donate info.
  20. That is a good one, I check the pumps every now and then. I had a store clerk ask, the the pump check out ok? I just laugh and said yea checked out good this time.
  21. Solution... Make a collar for the top of the spring so the ball can't wedge it way down through the coils of the spring over time.
  22. No I do not. It's all stock 40k on mileage
