This is the reason I started this subject, everybody I talk to says it makes it run hotter. Well I am down here in the arm pit of h--- and it's brutal hot down here. You can shut off eng. at 8:00pm and at 6"30am its still warm. It gets 115 with the heat index and I may start and stop 10 times a day.Just wanted to here your thoughts.Thanks everybody

Could not agree more, pressure is normal for new 150 pump. Mine and everyone I know has experinced a slight drop in pressure after a short period of time. Mine is now at 16 idle and 14 wot.The spring gets a little weak and or the ball gets stuck around the spring where it seats.

My 01 did this at start up and it would throw cel light. Replaced the cam sensor and all is well.

We are at day 60 with 100+ heat and I mean it's bad. Sometimes I pop the hood just to let the heat out. It gets 110 in the shop on somedays. So it's got to be tough on everything under the hood.

If the vp is not tapped and just running say a Edge EZ or comp will it make the vp run hotter. Reason I ask is it is so dang hot down here I dont wont to stress my Bulechip lined with gold vp:lmao2: anymore than I have to.

My name is Layman This is what I have done to get 29 degree. Make sure you have a new orfice line because they will get restricted. Let all freon out (have somebody suck it out) vacuum the system down,Get two cans = 2lbs have a pan of hot water ready, roll all windows up and put on max high, put the first can in. Now use the hot water to get the AC to suck all freon in from second can. Dont get any liquid from the can in the system you could damage the compressor you just wont vapor. If it wont take it in the hot water will warm it up and let it do its thing.I dont know high sides and low all I know is if the compressor is new and the rest is in right order you will have 29 degree in the Texas hot weather of 113 I have done this three times and got the same result every time.

I dont have a cure for your truck but I do know on my 01 if I over tourqe the crossover tubes it would efect the way it idle, you could back off and it would not miss as bad, crank down on it and it would run a little bad again. I had heard of this before and didnt belive it untill it happen to me.My 2 cents, you have bad crossover tube. They must be changed when you change inj. I didnt belive that one either. But I do everything the hard way

Trans has never sliped that I know of.

No gauges yet. Trans pan was spotless, magnet had small amount of material on it- looked normal. The truck had 37k on it when I changed it. I dont think it was ever changed. I have a oil sample ordered and we will see what they say.

Yea it's time to move on to the 05 I just bought. When you can change out a cam sensor in 15 min. you done it to many times.

I am going to send it off and get a report on it. I dont like the way it looks either, I will let you know.

Yea, it sounds like it's leaking by. It's a complete unit, bolts up in minutes. I bought mine from Southbend.

I will have to check my rpm's. But it's no where near 2000 when it shifts the way it does. I can be in town lite on the gas and when it shifts I can feel it lug for a second then it down shifts and then up shift on thru the gears. I had a old pontaic 428 with a 400 turbo with a shift kit and it would do that when you just barely had the throttle cracked, it would up shift like it skiped 2nd and then down shift back to 2nd. This reminds me of the same thing.I am kinda worried about the trans due to when I changed filter it was kinda dark looking, but not burned. When a trans is burned it will smell like a house fire, right?

I was waiting for you to drop the camera and watch it bounce off everything under the hood and then krr punck in the ole oil bucket.

I think my trans is skiping 2nd gear, it only seems to do it when I am just litely on the throttle. Is it the nut behind the wheel or what.

Could the pic you posted have anything to do with the brake light being on
