  1. I have checked boost boots and they look good. Where else would boost problem be? I would hope like h--- the injectors are ok only 38k.Can a diagnostic scanner obdII determine if it's injectors?
  2. I am into my second week with my 05 with 38k miles and it seems it smokes a little heavy. When I get into it it smokes like my second gen with 50hp inj. and the Edge EZ hooked up. Are these trucks going to smoke like that? It only has 38k on the clock.
  3. Yea, I think my 50hp injectors have something going on that's not right because I was getting 16 with them in the old motor. I am going to check everything with calipers and see if I can find anything. They may just need cleaning because the old motor had weird carbon build up.
  4. I installed my old 50hp injectors that came out of my old motor, they only had about 10k on them. Anyway something was not right, you could thighten them a little and it would change the way the motor ran, loosen them and it would go back. So I decided to clean up my old original (200k) injectors, that was a hilarious event, first I lost a shim, looked for about a hour and nothing, gave up and decided to swep up the floor and bingo found it. So I get back to the job at hand and now I forgot which one it went in so I just guessed. Decided I better go have them tested, and wow I got it right But they came back and said they are all weak. I am pissed now, I aint paying there price of 96.00 each. So I put them back in anyway, and truck runs better than it has in a long time. I was talking to the owner of the place and after I said I would just put them back in anyway. He says they should be fine if they where running good before just dont let it idle for long periods of time.Like I said it runs good, no smoke of anykind. A little puff when it first starts and the rest is clean. Sure I dont have the hp I had but I was getting 16 mpg in a 11k welding tk before I decided to put the 50's in and mpg fell 1 mile per gal. So after the clean up I am interested to see what mpg's it get's now.
  5. Thursday it's going to be 104, Friday 105, then Saturday we have a cold front coming in it will be 101:lmao: You got to laugh or cry one.My pasture is brown for the most part. Spent over 3k in fertilizer:spend: Now thats something to cry about:cry:
  6. It's 10:20 pm and its 90 degrees out. We have had 8 days in a row over 100 and we average 12 days total.
  7. Take it from me never ever file workmens comp as long as you still have insurance. They will let you die before they do s---. 3 months of back pain and crawling to the living room just to see new walls. They have given me cortizone shots, up to two months later:cry:.

  9. After I wrote responce I went out and got into it a little and I can say for sure it has less smoke so that's a plus. You think there will be any mpg increase?I have been getting 16mpg intown and hwy combine.
  10. There maybe less smoke at low rpm but thats about it. Everything is still the same. I dont have a boost gauge but I cant feel any diff. or hear any diff.

  13. The pump pressure's vary a little with diff. spring's. What I have been told is not to go over 25lbs. My AD 150 started out at 18 and now I am down to 15.50. I think your fine. And yes come off the pump for your gauge.
  14. Are these filters just the plastic screen or are they a paper type? Reason I ask is I am doing the first trans oil change and always thought it a waste of time changing the plastic filter (screen) type.

  19. Ok maybe thats what it's called. Follow your intake tube from the filter and where it makes a turn down to the turbo there is a plastic tube about 4" round and 8-9" long and has baffling that looks like a X inside with small holes. I ordered one instead of taking it apart.
  20. Airaid ordered, have you tryed to take one apart? That's a pita. So do you still have a silincer ring at the turbo to remove? Or will ordering the intake tube take care of it?

  23. Do these bands need adjusting at a certian number of miles? I have 38k at the moment. And what nees to done about the solenoids, who do you get them from oem or aftermarket?

Yes it has Navigation, but it only has the east coast CD the central and west coast he must have kept.And as far as neat freak goes I have him beat at the moment I dont let the dust settle on it, got a towel in hand keeping it clean.As far as valve body a tourqe converter go, thats just what I have heard. I like what you have to say it makes me fill like maybe it will last.And how do I disable the key dinger? That drives me nuts.So does anyone run 2 stroke with these trucks, reason I ask is I have ran it for about 2 years in my 2nd gen with good results.Noise baffle, I guess I will go look again.
