  1. W/F you mention washer thickness, what name brand washer are we looking for? What thickness are out there? Should we contact the company we bought injectors from to get the correct washers?
  2. I knew I was in for a ride but dang.
  3. Do I need to pull cross member and move trany back with a transmission jack. What I am asking is can trany side back in the slots on cross member enough to pull eng?
  4. Thats definetly good news.Thanks
  5. Will its started, I have just got the bumper off and I bet the truck raised 2 inches from just the weight . My question is can the evaporator or let me say can the A/C compressior stay hooked up while I pull eng. The reason is this A/C is the coldest A/C I have ever seen, it will get down to 29 degress in south Tx 100 plus heat, I just hate to break the seal .Has anybody ever done this?
  6. Thats right they changed Austin Drive Train to Inland Truck Parts. What was Alta Mere? Ease Riverside:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: you got that right.
  7. lol I did the exact thing today. 4.00 diff on pan gasket
  8. Ok I just have to rub it in a little. Going to Cummins this morning and just thought as I was making the corner. We have Freightliner on one corner and straight across the street is Cummins, down from that is Lone Star Brake & Clutch two blocks down the road is Austin Fuel Injection a full service injection Bosch Reman, another block down and over is International of Austin and then its Lunford Equip around the corner from that, one mile from there is Austin Drive Train. How lucky can you get?
  9. Thanks, I knew I saw it somewhere
  10. W/F What I found through my road of hard knoxs with ecm's is all 01 manuals will work, but you have a year in there that has a manual gauge and it will throw a cel. But what ever you do, that is if your on the side of the road in the dark at 3:00am, DONT pull the cap screw on top of the oil filter to check if you have oil pressure:doh: You will not like the results:lmao:
  11. Ok guys bear with me, I did a search on changing rear main and no luck anywhere, I know I have seen it before but cant remember. If I remember right you can replace the rear main with oil pan on or off right? Right now my eng stand has the back of my block hid so I cant see it.I need to pull my oil pan before I install eng. to clear cross member. I just wanted to do everthing I can while eng is on stand. And trying to plan it all out. getting close:hyper:
  12. Thanks guys, I guess I am used to new parts. I have about 4 sets of tubes around. They never set long enough to gather rust.
  13. Now I see why they are so easy to leak. I replaced the gasket on my new motor today and the rubber gasket just crumbled in my hand.
  14. I could really use some input.
  15. I'll stay right here, I got to move around after a little while.
  16. Where would I build my shop at?
  17. If its orange or yellow you have elec. problem
  18. Are these pics normal? The crossover tube have a brown rust look to them whats up with that? The fuel line where it conects to the tube looks to have a sealer on it or something, the pics didnt come out good but you can see something there. This motor is a total virgin , never had a wrench to it except the water pump. So what ever that stuff is on the top of the tube came from the factory that way.The owner told me the truck set for about 10 months after his uncle died then he drove it for about a year then wrecked it about 1 month ago. When I looked at it the bare metal hadnt even started rusting yet so I know it didnt set long till I got it. What do yall think.
  19. The easiest think I can think of is follow the fuel line from the fuel filter to where it conects to the injection pump and loosen it a little. Turn on key. see what leaks. PO 500 Is nothing, just means you spun the tires.
  20. I bought a front seal from cummins and not totaly sure of my self. Is the way I have them stacked the way it goes together? The middle ring is like a seal also, I figured it helps hold the top ring in place while you tap it down. Should I use a little oil on the crank to help it slide on?
  21. I hate to tell you but it wont be worth it. I lot of time.
  22. Yea it's used with 180k it's real nice and clean except where they took puke bottle off and let it drain on the eng. The only real bad thing I have found is when I ask what kind of oil he ran he said, what ever they have on sale at the quick lube place:doh:
  23. Should I get the kit to resleve or just new seals? Also any videos on the subject?
