Real hard to tell through pictures... Clean up all the cylinders and pistons real good and then get some lint free towels and clean the walls real good, make sure that there aren't any vertical scratches on the cylinder walls.

gauges work with 12 valve swap
Haven't forgot about this.......... I have the name and number of a guy I need to call that says he has put a 215 HP 1996 model 12 valve motor in his 2001 and ALL of his gauges work perfectly. Says it is EASY, but I am having a hard time getting ahold of him. I am currently trying to locate a decent 215 hp 12 valve engine... Looked at a couple and all I can say is thank god I pulled the vacuum pump off to investigate that oil leak on this one, it had a windowed block! Looked like the rod let go, but the guy replaced it and put it back together. Put a nice little piece of aluminum over the big hole, siliconed it and then painted it... He got REAL embarrassed when I discovered it... Anyway, will continue the search!

Happy Halloween!
Like my house.... I am 30 minutes from town, my house is at the very back of 140 acres down a 1 mile (not kidding) winding drive with trees all around it. Looking off my front porch.... Only bought this place a year ago, but i'm guessing there aren't going to be any trick or treaters hahaha.

AirDog - Blowen Fuse
Please, for your own sake, don't pull the pump apart.. They will use that to void your warranty if they see that it has been tampered with.

Replacement Dodge Keys?
I would imagine that the dealer would charge significantly more than your local hardware store would to cut a key, if they even have a key cutter. Buy your special blank, then take it to your local ace hardware along with your original key, the lady will insert them into her magical machine and viola! a matching key is created. --- Update to the previous post... Unacceptable. LOL.

differences in 4x4 frame and 2x4 frame
Wow. What a thread. Not sure why he thought a quad cab would fit where a single cab fit.

differences in 4x4 frame and 2x4 frame
Before I go measure, does anybody know if the cab mounts and the bed mounts are in the same position on a 2001 quad cab long bed 2x4 truck frame as they are on a 2001 quad cab long bed 4x4 truck frame? Want to take the quad cab and bed off a 2wd and put it on a 4x4 truck frame for my frankenstein beast swap just need to know if the frames and cabs are totally different, im thinking they are not, but who knows.

transmission troubles......again
Clutch disengage cylinder messed up maybe? How does the clutch pedal feel --- Update to the previous post... Jack up the rear end end and put it on stands then get in your truck and push in the clutch and start the beast up. Leave the clutch pedal in (clutch disengaged) and see if your rear tires are rotating. That would tell you real quick if you have a clutch disengage problem. If they don't spin with your foot to the floor on the clutch pedal, then you might have a transmission problem of some sort. Check fluid level and condition.

Air Filter
Interesting, I have often wondered people's rationale for chunking stock, but I have never asked! Don't think I would though personally.... My undergraduate degree in accounting has permanently brainwashed me into thinking carefully before spending any money and consequently I am a tightwad. The stock air filter is rated for 675 CFM. BHAF from Napa is rated at 680 CFM. That is according to NAPA's website....... Not sure about the aftermarket, all I know is that they are expensive! Is there some kind of proven problem with the stock air boxes/filters that I haven't heard about like severely restricted flow resulting in some kind of adverse effect? I know on my 05 Chevy Duramax, I have gone about 60k miles before my filter minder even started to pull down. $20 dollar filter and zero altering needed to rig up some other intake. It is awesome, love the filter minder, greatest invention ever hahaha!
