Consensus on tapped pump
Or do what my city did...when the city bought out the property where I used to work, the city hired engineer after engineer to certify ground was good. After about the 8th engineering firm finally one said soil was ok. When we were using in ground tanks we used to loose couple hundred gallon each month. Corp finally gave in to on site delivery truck. Underground tanks left in place until Gov't built on property. But not as bad as fork lift repair shop in back of us that dumped used oil on storm drain.

Door hinge
OP here. I could see if I screwed up I 'd be in trouble. Rain and snow... Think I'll wait till I get truck south and the mechanic going to add little more power for towing in hills, might also do door hinge?

Electrical Gremlins
My opinion... I'm sure age plays a part, the service manual has pretty good info on testing cables. I was able to get some cables used from another member on here and being our cables are so long I was able to re-do cables on genny in RV. Generator in RV is not so particular as our 2nd gens elec wise. Worked out good for both of us I think?

Consensus on tapped pump
Going through med problems with wife, I find blood work is so interesting. I always ask to keep the rubber strap they use to around arm to puff up the blood brains. They make a good rubber washer, if you have a bolt that wiggles loose now and then. Not on engine but like on glove box that sqeaks. When reading about filtration if filter is 95 or 98.5 effective the remaining amount goes somewhere. So Yes, if 95 percent gets filtered the remaining 5 percent could get trapped in bigger 10 um (in this case) or through engine, or maybe sent back to fuel tank through return line, to start process all over again. Just my take on filters that is from reading. Not any hands on.

Consensus on tapped pump
What is the smallest clearance in fuel system? Micron size of 50 is supposed to be size of human hair. Filters of 10 and 3 etc makes me wonder how anything makes it through filter.

Door hinge
Yes and will be all by myself, no help. Mentally working project through my head, I think I 'll be OK but not 100 percent sure.

Consensus on tapped pump
Mopar1973Man "I double stack filters I've got a Donaldson 3um filter on the AirDog 150 and then Fleetguard 10um in the stock can. I can say the 3um passes debris that the Fleetguard 10um picks up". That doesn't very good for Donaldson. I go directly from AD pump to VP44, wondering about adding a filter somewhere. Not sure what filter to add or where to mount it.

Door hinge
Drivers side door sounds like creaky old wooden porch. I've changed a couple over the years on different cars. 2nd gens have big door. I see "doorman" brand has them. Not overly impressed with "doorman" quality, but don't know of better quality brand. Anything I should be aware of?

Battery jumping
Courious...what's wrong with grounding to neg side of battery? Both my vehicles say ground to motor or metal on car. The ground might be bad only reason I can think of. Any other reasons?

Battery jumping
So if vehicle being jumped had some kind of elec problem, no worry"s to vehicle providing the jump?

Tee fitting on gauge leaking
My push on tee fitting is leaking at the stem going to fuel gauge, very little but enough I should fix. Wrapped with Teflon tape maybe 4 or 5 wraps. Buy another fitting or is JB Weld alright to use in diesel fuel?

Vulcan pressure gauge tester question
Thank you. Guess I 'll keep in plastic bag for now on. As the botom of my tool box certainly won't rust

Vulcan pressure gauge tester question
Tried 3 times to contact Eric (on vacation maybe?) The valve at top of his pressure tester...should it be leak proof or not leak proof? and turning screw on tester only depresses the valve stem (to allow pressure in) on what ever you are testing?

Light Bar Battery Source
(1st post in this thread) couple years ago I put light bar connected to hitch. I KO'd it shortly later crawling into bed with my big foot. Much better design in pics above with light being protected by something. Going to get another light someday but going to mount under somehow. Thought I found a light at junk store that vibration wouldn't ever be a problem. Light had a CAT number on it. Looked it up online and found out it was 24 volt, so I passed.

THANKS...
While only a member for 3 or 4 months wanted to give a sincere thanks! Owning our 01 since 05 I never took the time to figure it out. That changed after getting ripped off in Yuma (we live is Seattle) I'm now learning. Being stuck at home because of wives medical and being retired allows me the time to read the posts and then read the manuals to see if I get the same answer that the experienced folks share. Good way of learning for me. Thanks and Happy New Year

Finally install airbags.
The rv forums have lots of info in their "getting started" sections that will help. My advice.. 1.don't fall in love with all the marketing glitz. 2. Hang on to your wallet when wife starts opening up cabinets to see how her stuff will fit. Download a detailed "rv pre delivery checklist" from internet and print out and use it before you take delivery. RV's totally different than auto"s when service is needed after the sale. Good rv dealers are hard to find but worth a lot after the sale. Imo you are on cuss line of 3/4 ton and 1 ton. That is why I brought up springs in above post.

Finally install airbags.
If your deal isn't sealed yet and your still working out your deal... I looked at "dealers" info that you linked. From that was able to get Spec sheet by vin number. https://assets-cdn-interactrv.netdna-ssl.com/funtownrv/unit_spec_sheet/unit_spec_sheet_201708310237269358370445.pdf?modified=0831201714372693 If you are bargaining with dealer and they won't come down anymore... see if they'll will throw in 5th wheel hitch and second A/C, (it is already "prepped" for it, according to spec on vin number) and spare tire, as the spare tire carrier should already be there. W/D option is great...Wish we had the option of W/D on ours.

Finally install airbags.
You probably already now. Not sure of what pin weight you'll end up at but most 5th wheels are over 20 percent of gross. Many reach 25 %. That weight might come into play with what you are planning to do with springs.

Battery jumping
Yes...I was thinking about any problems with stray elec going somewhere it shouldn't or doing any harm. Service manual between "Charging" and "Battery" section is over 50 pages. Probably good reason being so long. Owners manual has good pic of "jumping". I'm still in bathrobe also.

Battery jumping
Being "new" here and reading the multitude of elec problems...any advice on battery jumping?
