Floor Board leak
Inside cab leak....If I ever replace the carpet I'm going to rino line the inside. The only rust I know about is the size of quarter is from leaky windshield. I'm thinking the rino lined will catch any water and maybe cut down on noise.

Oil Bypass Filtration System
After much time reading and asking... My final decision to make me feel better was to just change filter more often. Found out it was was easy to get lost in all the hype about oil. Just my take.

What water pump is worth a darn?
Guess you could say it "Rubbed" me the wrong way

What water pump is worth a darn?
I am begging to think any silica bad. Silica equals sand. Arm and hammer tooth paste, now have to use the prescription tooth paste until worn down gum grows back. Chemical is si02. Used in auto glass to beach sand. My gum oem no longer around for replacement.

What water pump is worth a darn?
I am on 3rd one. All cummins on 2001 with only 88k on clock. I wonder if low use might be my problem? All 3 still worked but leaked. Still original hoses though. Hoses are 18 years old now

Am I filtering fuel enough?
Your pic shows 3 filters. Mine is just 2. One on motor is bypassed. Make any difference? Street/towing only.

Am I filtering fuel enough?
Wondering if more filtration would be a good idea? Completely stock except Airdog fuel pump with… fuel filter is 2 (or3) micron and water I have no clue what spec’s are. I change out filters every 6,000 miles. Filters are whatever Vulcan sends me when I ask for Airdog 100 filters. Fuel line goes from Airdog pump to VP44. Fuel is bought at high volume places and I change my filters and other fluids often. (All except steering fluid I'm pretty lazy on.) If more filtration is suggested, what is a good set up in your opinion? Thanks

Where is Quadzilla on your power list?
I’m going through old postings trying to figure out what type of power product would be best for my situation. I’m basically completely stock power wise. For me, lots of towing mileage and I would like some more power. This additional power will be added after I get my stock trans worked on. The power that I’m interested the name Quadzilla keeps coming up. For the last several months on here, maybe up to a year, more and more people are using Quadzilla. I’m thinking Quadzilla would help with my lack of power in the mountains towing the wives 9,000 pound trailer. Maybe not solve all my problems but a good start. Other power products are not getting mentioned as much, when you look at the postings by date. Quadzilla seems to be taking over. Which it couldn’t take over, unless people overall were happy with them. Question…If you were going to add some power where would Quadzilla rate on your list?

Start with gas soaked rag after filter change.
OP here... OK no more. I do remember one time that air filter and rag bounced up a bit. Never gave it much of a thought. I thought just a little back fire, no big deal.

Start with gas soaked rag after filter change.
After changing my fuel filters, if it doesn’t kick off within 30 seconds, I usually grab a rag, pour some lawn mower gas on it, give rag a good squeeze until gas stops dripping out, open up air box, lay rag on air filter, (starter has rested by now), and turn the key. After it fires off, remove rag real quick. Engine does rev up a little, for few seconds but not bad. Today yacking with neighbor who is changing his filters on his back hoe says big mistake. What’s your opinion? Thanks

2 stroke oil??
Maybe I missed it, two questions...(OK 3 questions) How much better MPG do you get mixing in 2 stroke oil? On average how long does VP44 last without using 2 stroke. (Bonus question) CF forum my computer is so slow, I very seldom go there. Just me or does CF load like other sites for you?

2 stroke oil??

Advice on gauges
Put in AutoMeter in 2006 (boost, trans,EGT's) all are still working. Went to add a fuel pressure gauge (which I should of done in first place). Spent maybe 3 or 4 hours reading a the gauge makers saying how good their product was. If buying again the options EV2 has is hard to beat.

Starting an engine that has been sitting 1 year
Thanks...Called my Cummins place today. They now have strips in a 4 pack, so I won't have to get a bottle of 50. Coolant hoses...any brand better than others. At work where I retired at they switched to Dayco "gold lable" belts and hoses. Unsure if Dayco gold lable really better or if someone in corp purchasing had family member working at them? Any recommendations on hoses? Thanks

Starting an engine that has been sitting 1 year
IBMobile Thanks for the offer on test strips. I'm coming up on 4 years, so I'll just change anti-freeze.... Being hoses are really old and have never been replaced; might as well change them also. Not that I like to spend money but 17 years is pretty good I guess. Anything I need to be aware of changing hoses (2001 3/4 ton)? Should be simple I assume...remove old hose and put new one on. My Cummins dealer moved, now about 15 miles from me. So going there anyways to buy some oil... so might as well get test strips. Currently I'm taking a on-line course from Fluke, somewhere they had how to test anti-freeze with a volt meter. No more than a week ago, but can't find it. Did find something else they sent me to..."Testing Electrical Systems with a Digital Multimeter" Don't know if this would be handy for anybody or not but here is link. Very elementary level I believe. http://assets.fluke.com/appnotes/automotive/beatbook.pdf

Starting an engine that has been sitting 1 year
Yes, engine will spin awhile before starting, ran it completely out of fuel and disconnected batteries. Engine will spin when priming. How do to you check PH level? One time at Cummins dealer they would only sell me a bottle of test strips, (not a couple) so I was there getting anti freeze anyways so I passed. Being PH levels are the same measurement no matter if testing swimming pool or anti-freeze, can I just use PH test kits from garden dept in hardware store? Then I read that some people use volt meter to test PH level, but not as accurate as test strips. What do you test PH level with? Dieselfuture Thanks for info. End result of Mopar and Halloween
My computer is messed up. Favorites don’t show up. For now I'm using the search bar to get different sites. I typed in “mopar” and phone rang. When I was on the phone, wife looked up something about “Halloween” . After hanging up the phone, and sit back down, end result made me chuckle. How needs one?

Endurance tires by goodyear
I think Maxxis is better tire in every way except one. They are harder to get if you need one on the road. Very few places keep them on hand. My trailer tires I use for 5 years then get new. We have had one tire failure with Goodyear Marathons. And no damage to trailer skirting but know of others that had lots of problems with Marathons that cost big money fix up trailer after blow out. Weight wise load range D is what I can use but have always put on load range E.

Endurance tires by goodyear
Unlike goodyear marathons they seem to be holding up. Local discount tire store has installed 22 since March , about the time they hit the market...no failures yet. Wish 15 inch tires had more of a choice.
