  1. Mine is compression at at the valve and the gauge, What are the the push to connect fitting you speak of? Mine had a couple small leaks when first installed but have been fine since.
  2. That's how installed mine except it is in he top hole. Figured it help me see it also. Turns out I smelled it first then ran my finger over the hole and it came back wet. Very small leak but the smell brought it to my attention.
  3. Unless your cruise fails in the ECM. I lived with that for a year.
  4. Delete and you will be back on topic. I couldn't resist that one. I wish I could help but I cant.
  5. I have never installed a FASS but dont believe it would be much different than the AD since they are so similar. The fuel lines would a different story. The JIC fittings are going to be a little more time consuming but they are a quality product. I have heard people have had problems with the quick connects on the AD. I personally have not had any on mine for the 8 years since I installed it. If I ever do I will replace them I will JIC and push lock fittings. But for now if it aint broke I aint gonna fix it. I have the Isspro mechanical gauge in mine. Works great and reasonably priced. I tapped into the line between my oe fuel canister and the VP using a push lock tapped coupling and a needle valve that doubles as an isolator.
  6. Just a reminder the relay mod is good but does nothing for your fuel pressure. If you decide to go with a full blown AD or FASS it will come with the relay harness ready to install. Dont know if the Raptor comes with one. I have to agree with everyone on the full blown system. You would never have to look back. And with what you paid for the truck you have a good bit of room before you out strip what you could get for it.
  7. Yeah, figured since it was deleted it fit right into the topic of this thread.
  8. Is your fuel pump up high enough to keep that thing from dragging the ground?
  9. Been looking trucks CL. I got kick out this one. Great price and its been deleted. https://shoals.craigslist.org/cto/d/cold-ac-and-great-2002-dodge/6617364080.html
  10. That is a understatement. If money is tight the DDRP is an improvement over stock. See if they wont sell you a relay harness to get the power off of the ECM. It comes with the full blown systems. And dont forget a fuel pressure gauge. It is a must. But if you have the cash a full system it is the best way go as @Dieselfuture says.
  11. I have never heard of anyone trying to get measurement of the blow by. You can take the oil cap off and set it upside down on the whole and should not blow it off. Maybe there is way but never heard it discussed. But at 100k I would not expect you to have any issue unless you mistreat the hell out of it. As some would say its just getting broke in. I am 445k and while I probably have a more than I did 345k ago it is nothing I worry about. The engine is still strong.
  12. Be careful this could make another great thread.
  13. I see how you are. I am closer. @Goonas2 dont be fooled by the Idaho potato man.
  14. That's all good to hear. As far as fuel pump what plans do you have for the truck? Keep it stock, programmers or anything? And if your wife makes you sell it give me a call.
  15. Rebults are all you can get, still requires the test stand to rebuild. I looked at there site briefly. I am in no way knocking them. Most places that sell them don't build them, that's all I was referring to. You can buy one now for about grand, that's in the box not on the truck. I bought Blue Chip diesel pump 8 years ago, they don't build theirs either. Quite spendy, did the install my self. Not difficult.
  16. Mine had em. Just thought I was getting a free arse scratchin and it came with the new truck.
  17. You got a good deal. Look at prices folks are asking for these trucks. Some are just ridiculous. I saw a guy on CL asking $42k for a 98 12v with 125k on it. Prices are wild on these 2nd gen. I know nothing about Taylor Diesel but unless they have the quarter million dollar Bosch test stand to calibrate the pump they did not build it. If they do have one it would be good to add there name to the rebuilders list here. Very few shops have the means to build them. Most shops are resellers of the pumps. But it never hurts to have a someone reputable to put it on unless you do it yourself. Those washers look like mine did. I had hard time believing there was rubber on them too, but there was. Since yours is starting fine cold it is most likely not the washers. Could just be a pressure problem.
  18. How many miles on her? $4500 from the looks was a excellent deal. Your deal ain't evaporating yet.
  19. Mine were the same way when I changed them. The rubber was hard as rock but there. Just smashed flat. Maybe yours was gone, not doubting you. You can get them from DAP, Mike posted the link above, Vulcan performance has them also. A decent diesel shop or Cummins parts house ought to have them also.
  20. "Mopies", you gotta love that one. @W-T 's ground mod is definitely worth the effort.
  21. The only way to sustain 15 psi of boost is under accelaration tuner or no tuner. Cruising will see minimal boost since fuel demand is low. Mine cruises 75 mph at maybe 3 to4 pounds with the tuner on or off. You just don't have enough fuel to produce much boost cruising. I don't know enough about your turbo to know what the max boost on it should be. Hope I did not butt in on your question.
  22. That rubber is still there. It has just lived past its life. Smashed flat and subjected to a lot of heat. The rubber gets hard after all of that especially on the back of the head. All good advise from @Mopar1973Man above.
  23. Happy you found the problem.
  24. That is all I did when Installing mine. I have read where you need to ground yourself to release any static charge on your person. And from what I know of you, DF, you are always fully charged!!! Just poking fun my friend but that does make sense. I knew nothing back then.
