  1. I bought mine off of eBay a couple years ago. It works extremely well. There's only a couple different manufacturers and different chinese companies constantly rebrand them and sell them with their own logo. I'm very happy with it, and the Quad works good on it, for the most part. It's just Importing and Exporting tunes and logs that doesn't work, but that's just some kind of incompatibility with the iQuad app and my Android OS that we haven't figured out yet. When I absolutely must datalog I connect to my phone or a tablet. Having the gauges up on the screen at all times is great. Being able to change power levels as easy as changing the radio station is awesome. Quick tune change on the fly, no problem. Some day we'll nail down the import/export problem and the complaint department from me will be at an all time low! haha. Also keep in mind that I bought a double din sized head unit. Took some hacking and slashing to get it in. Looked almost perfect except at the very end I cracked the dash piece a little bit. Not terrible but it bugs the hell out of me. Oh well, win some lose some.
  2. Nope, not allowed. We need you to keep advancing the quad, and you're gonna need your truck for that! Haha.
  3. I think this is the beta Stephen is talking about. Was linked previously in a different thread. http://quadzillatech.com/TunesDownloads/AndroidApp/IQUAD_Android_app-release(1.9.40(56)).apk
  4. Thanks again Nick. I haven't been in the truck much but I'm pretty sure boost was 0 psi at idle. Idle hand off seemed great, I'll have some more seat time this weekend and I'll report back with anything strange.
  5. My harness plug in the fuse box with the bold does the same thing. Apparently by design? But mine is very difficult to get snug and takes some finness. Sneeze and it will break loose. When I bought the truck it had "no bus". Found that connector loose. Then I installed HID's. Back no "no bus". Removing the HID's fixed the issue until I got filter caps on the ballasts. When I tighten mine I push down on the connector, wiggle it a little to make sure everything is moving right, while I tighten it with a socket in my hand, so I can use my fingers to feel that point where it's right enough before it breaks loose again.
  6. A little off topic, but what do you guys pay for services like pop testing/shimming where you're from? Labor for everything where I'm from has sky rocketed. My wallet gets molested if I pay for any services. It's why I try to do everything myself. Shop labor is about $115-130 CAD ($90-105 USD) per hour. I make decent money... But not that decent!
  7. Ok, here it is. And please keep in mind I absolutely understand the stigma with buying things off of fleaBay. However I think with a pop tester, if you aren't leaking and the gauge is accurate, rock on. If I could find something affordable made locally I would have definitely picked something up around home. Here's the pop tester: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Diesel-Injector-Nozzle-Pop-Pressure-Tester-Dual-Read-Bar-PSI-Gauge-S60H-W-Filter/201600134081?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649 Here's the Cummins injector adapter: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Injector-Adapter-Holding-Tool-Cummins-5-9-L-Diesel-1998-2002-Dodge-Ram-ISB/321088744729?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 I hope postng these links doesn't break any rules. If it's a problem please let me know. I got some shims coming off of eBay. Pretty pricey, wish I could make them myself. Once I measure them and understand what they are, I might be able to find a cheaper option for that. I'm pretty excited to start playing with this. I also need to get my Jetta TDI's injectors popped as well, so I think I can justify this purchase. Hell, getting nozzles installed to injectors and popped at my local diesel shop was well over $125 CAD if I remember right. Possibly a lot more.
  8. Another theoretical question. Sorry in advance, haha. Let's say your 7x.012's popping at 330 bar are stalling the truck when you throw it in gear. Do you think stepping up to a 7x.014 with the same pop pressure would alleviate this condition, or at least lessen the effect? I'm a little on the fence here. On one hand, both injectors need to pop at the same pressure, no pop no fuel. But when the .014's pop, that's an extra 16.67% fuel. Maybe I'm over thinking this.
  9. PM sent. Just for fun I wiped out office 2010 32 bit last night and installed 2013 64 bit. Installed SP1, all windows updates, reboot. No go.
  10. Very interesting. I may have ordered a cheap pop tester and an adapter for Cummins injectors today...
  11. I'm just spitballing here, but what kind of oil is in the trans? It it possible you could run a thinner ATF to raise the stall a bit? Of course the "right" thing to do, if stall is a problem, would be to remove the converter and have the stall raised. However might be something to look into if it could be done safely. If nothing else it could be a troubleshooting exercise before removing the trans again.
  12. Both computers are windows 7 x64. One has office 2013 32 bit (work computer), one has office 2010 64 bit (home computer). Work computer gets regular updates regulated through corporate IT. Home computer gets relatively ignored but possibly it's getting auto updates. Definitely no pause/break being pressed.
  13. Negative, no other buttons work. Definitely strange. Is it possibly I need a specific version of visual basic? Have you tried it on any other PC's that might not have specific files that are linked to yours? Am I the only one with multiple crappy computers? lol
  14. The last one I used is the blank tune that was suggested on the download page. Except you might have been talking to @TJ_00Cummins, lol.
  15. I'm not using Libre, just Excel. Just popped open Libre to see if it would give the same error. Yes, I'm importing the tune as the popup requests. Tried my tune and blank tune. Same deal. What version of Excel is it created on? If it's not 2010 or 2013 I can try a different version.
  16. Haha, maybe so. Downloaded from the same link and same problem. Also cleared cache. Here's a screenshot after clicking build charts. It seems like there's an external file linked that exists on your PC but not mine. Libre seems to be concerned about this. On Libre 5.0 clicking yes or no doesnt seem to do anything. On 5.4 clicking yes gives an error that points to what looks like an area of your personal computer.
  17. I'll get you some screenshots. I downloaded it a bunch of times, two different computers, two different internet connections, two different versions of excel. One of them was a virgin office install about 2 minutes before. Any chance the uploaded copy is corrupt? Can you link a fresh copy separately to rule it out?
  18. I made the mistake of skipping the engine adapter gasket when I did my rear main. Now it sprung a dirty leak. Can't win...
  19. Tried a different PC, windows 7 x64 with office 2010, same error. Maybe a corrupt upload? Can you link a fresh copy and I'll try again?
  20. How far do you think this can be pushed? I have considered building my own pop tester to play with different settings, but I don't have any experience with that. Do you think the pop only effects low fuel conditions, like idling? Once they are fuelling heavy, high rpm, high load, do you think the pop pressure is kind of moot? Or the changes in timing carry on through the whole power band?
  21. This looks awesome! I really want to test this out. Except when I try to click on EZ Tune Builder, or Edit maps, nothing happens. Clicking Build Charts gives me this: Excel 2013 x86. I made sure to disable all macro security etc. Any ideas? Also tried Libre Office 5.4 just for fun.
  22. With my computer, windows 7 64 bit, the only way the flasher program will see the box is if I click update (or flash or whatever the button is), and then plug in the usb quickly. If I plug it in then try to flash, it won't connect, and I hear windows constantly dinging trying to connect over and over.
  23. The stock computer has anti-stall for manuals. I'm not sure if the automatics have this feature, if everything is working the way it should, it shouldn't be needed. What bugs me about this is the fact that it's worse while hot. That converter should loosen up a little bit with the oil temp raising shouldn't it?
  24. When you say it's idling too low, can you elaborate? What is your idle rpm in park/neutral? Should be 800 rpm.
