No they didn't but I'll ask tomorrow. Which one is cruise timing the light throttle timing advance? People call them different names I'm seeing Edit: figured that out, lol. Pulling that cruise timing off this morning and drive in to work.

@YeaImDylan no it shouldn't sound like my truck/video, it is very much a miss/ping/knock =no go. A miss etc will go away/ hidden when higher rpms are present.

Yea, I looked at starlink but the deposit plus waiting to see if I can actually get it kinda scares me. I keep looking and trying but nothing yet. They stopped the local high speed fiber 1 mile south of me and the guys north of me stopped about 5 miles north of me. Kinda in between which sucks... yup I'm not in the city by no means. I have a Gmail account/drive is it better to upload there instead? Or easier I guess?

It will upload this but not a 70mb video well under the limit. Idk, I don't have internet where I live (no one offers it) so I depend on the Ole cellphone and boy does it take awhile to upload to youtube. Can be done though. 😊 If you guys would like some more videos of it running etc I can do that just let me know. I'd post the data log but I can't do that either lol, see other post*.

Idk why I can't upload videos, I kept them short well under the max 137 mb or what ever it is. One was only 70mb and it kicked error code 200? I guess just be clear if not already know, I'm not looking to/for smoke lol. I just know I should have it with the setup, nature of the beast, now with the quad when all is straightened out I can hopefully clean it up some. "Smoke" has got a bad rap or stigma to it with all the younger kids etc... Agreed. I called DAP today and asked for guy Mitchell but he left for the day. Hopefully tomorrow. They should do another warranty and I guess I'll just have them make a set of 6x16 or 6x18 or step into that 7 hole realm?

I literally just got home with it. Hard to tell with 5 cylinders lol the timing change made it less peppy I think. I noticed a bit of smoke but nothing even close to pre injector/quad, I also didn't want to really push it cause who knows what could happen with this Mish mash of things going on.

Just a fun daily driver I guess. I don't tow hardly ever maybe a handful of times a year if that. It's my daily so there's that, alot of my stuff doesn't necessarily contribute to a daily but... When I wanna hammer down by God I wanna hammer down haha. I removed 2* from everything 1500 @ 10, 2000 @ 15, 2500 @ 19, 3000 @ 23, max @ 27 and 100 from 0-10 then +2 till 15 then +4 up to 30

Before the quad and new injectors having those 6x18s in it would take a bit to spool up then boom off like a rocker, then they started acting up to which where we are now. I guess if their that much smaller then a bigger pump wouldn't like that nor the injector. Since I had the truck till now I haven't got better than 12mpg 😳 I'm sure after quad gets dialed in it might get better but... The spool with the quad is pretty decent, better than before atleast.

Yea it's looking that way... yea p/o stated he did pull with it a couple times and no specific class but that's prolly a lie lol. How do I need to adjust for dragon flow timing then?

They are 6x13's I was wanting to down size most I could to clean everything up and get maybe a smidgen of fuel mpg back but we can see where im at now. So far the only option I got is to call dap and see what they say. Maybe I'll just bump it back up to 6x16s or 6x18s. Idk what else to do.

Yea pretty much no smoke at all really, for what I have I figured I'd have alot of smoke to try and clean up. I guess I really don't know what I need to shoot for? And at this point prolly still don't know how to lol. That is very possible, the ones I sent in as cores were 6x18's verified by dap. Mitchell said that these 6x13's would work either way with dragon flow or not... so idk. I guess I'll just have to call them. I'm kinda stumped.

This morning I added +2 to the fuel all the way up changed 1500 to 13*, 2000 to 17*, 2500 to 21.5* and 3000 stayed at max. Also this is the same problem when doing data logging, just can't get it to work? The blank tune file on the thread about this* does not work, some weird file name that I've never seen and can't open it.

Third set I haven't sent in, waiting on their return slip. They didn't mention what the problem was but the 1st set was rebuilt and sent back to be the 2nd set. The 3rd and current set, Mitchell said was new. Idk what to do. I'd like to figure out if it is possibly something else before I call dap again with bad news. I don't want it to be something else but... So here's those pics/tune. Pretty much exactly what everyone on here has suggested to use or try. I still think I need more fuel so I might add +2 to everything and see what happens. I'll prolly post this in my other thread too.

I'll see if I can get a pic of it all on my tablet in the morning. Basically I downloaded the file somehow managed to get my test tune or default tune to it on my laptop then used that to layout tune that everyone advised. I couldn't get it to send to tablet. I tried exporting tune to my laptop, I downloaded it and it can't open it, needs a special program? So I can't really send or receive anything from either device. Even tried sending one from tablet to phone and vice versa to have same tunes on each device in case one runs out of battery while using gauges. No luck...

That's what I did with the other 2 sets. I didn't have time tonight to crack this set but tomorrow or Thursday probably. Both previous sets everything cleared up when I cracked the problem injector, also swapped injector holes to see if it followed which it did. So I guess we'll see what happens cracking these. I set my iquad back down to 0 to check but there wasn't a change, thinking about timing and all...

First set of new injectors from dap, had to send back for warranty, put 2nd set in then had to do the same thing again. With this being the 3rd set am I just having really bad luck with injectors or is something else causing it? I keep getting a knock/ping and sounds like a bad miss if u (more prominently)coast and very lightly tap or ride the throttle and just runs rough/ just not how it should. Runs rough and knocks when normal driving the same just more so as stated above. Why do I keep getting this knock etc? Is the vp44 causing this to go down stream? Fuel psi is consistently 16psi, no codes or check engine light (doesn't mean awhole lot but..) This has all been in a very very short period of time. The last thing added was the quadzilla adrenaline but I don't see it being any issue? Only things I can think of is 1- injection pump (runs great) 2- injector lines or tube (mating surfaces looked good) 3- just getting bad injectors. What the heck?

Got the injectors in, no hard starts as this this morning, and no pinging/knocking. Now I can get back to tuning lol. So with the excel spreadsheet for tuning, how do you send file to your iquad/device -tablet in my case? It doesn't work via email and can't get blue tooth to work. And to get a new tune on the sheet when I clicked the link in the thread for a blank one I can't open it. Something not jiving...

The only thing that really changed was me tweaking the wastegate shaft. I tried re-adjusting it but it didn't help.

That pretty neat... Yea I'd like to just rid of the waste gate honestly, it was proll getting weak to begin with plus new drain line etc and having to modify things, I don't think it's fully operational. I used to be able to peg a 60 psi gauge now it shows its only going to 40 and holding on my mechanical gauge. That's why I'm looking for different ideas on this, never really had to mess with waste gates other than adjustment. Talked to DAP for a bit yesterday, gonna send another new set of injectors out today, I'll get them Fri and installed. The drivability/pull/ just feel of the engine after new was awesome but slowly lessened (they have a machine that eliminates this "break in" issue ) then now it sounds like a ping/miss/knock with rough idle and smoky again, #3 & # 5 you can really feel the pulse in the lines and cracking them somewhat changed noise but not as prominent as previous experience. The second set was same injectors I had ordered originally just rebuilt this 3rd set will be a new set, possible inherent issue with ones I had both times. That's my rant/update for this morning. Now back to work lol.

Well drove it home with new tune didn't really play with it or get on it... I got a miss or knock coming from injectors I think. Hard starts cold or hot - progressively got worse. Today it was knocking pretty decent and scared me so I took it easy home. I'll have to get in touch with dap again.... So that homemade boost deal you made looks interesting. How did you get rid of the wastegate and that operation? Is there any pre-made things like that?

I definitely appreciate the input! This is done and I'll try it out on the way home along with the other recommendations. Yea, I have no idea on the pump. It prolly will remain a mystery!?!? I tried to make it smooth from what ever it was 85 on up maybe a little more jump towards the higher end, if I'm understanding you right. So you suggest starting at say 100 at 0-5 psi then add 2 on top everyone and at 20 psi add 4 on top? According to my "manual" boost gauge I roughly in the (3-9 psi) ish range just cruisin. Just for reference. Another thing I have to address, I have the common issue of the wastegate hitting the turbo oil drain line (DAP- stainless braided line kit), and as suggested slight bend in the rod to clear etc. Well I massaged everything to where it functioned so I thought when I first got it together, during that time I never saw that much boost always stopping at 40psi so I tried to adjust it but no luck. So is there maybe a different style wastegate or something to go in it's place? Posted at the same time, thought I'd add. So as I mentioned above start at 100 in my normal cruise range 3-9 ish then add 2 on top till 20 psi then add 4 on top till max. This would be a good daily tune to start with I'm assuming.
