ECM Auto or Manual does it matter?
I also have an Innova. Paid around $40 for mine. #3760 I think but need to double check. It does the job well. I test both all acc. on as well as off and it changes values so I know it's not 'stuck'. I remember going through this before.

ECM swap
I did the opposite when my 53 block cracked. Bought a same year engine that was from a manual and put it in and used my original auto ECM. No issues at all. You can also contact smarty resource.com. @BrianAtSmarty knows the answer to all you questions on ECM's..............or at least all my questions

Hurricane Florence
Best of luck to you Dave. I've been thinking about you and my co-workers at our Kenly plant. Other than that I don't know anybody down that way but been keeping all down that way in my prayers. What a terrible storm and then there's 2 more behind it with an uncertain future. Hopefully they go out to sea. Keep your wings tucked! And let us know how you make out.

Replacement brake lines from abs and block to frame
I got a pre-bent stainless set for the front. I think it came from Fine Lines. Just checked E-Bay too. They have Dorman sets as well as others.

It's not worth taking the chance. Send them back for some 7x10's . That would be a good way to convince the wife why you need bigger injectors.

'The Boost Bus'
I seem to remember a thread about the last burnout you did .

4X4 bearing Hubs and ABS Discussion....
I wouldn't replace those suckers until they fall apart. Kinda like my first television and refrigerator that lasted decades. I replaced because thought I should and now I'm doing it every 6-7 years or so

PH test strips
I like that idea. We are O'Reillyless around here, but I bet the others have them too. Thanks. What is the limit though? You make it sound like you're still good at 7.5. I seem to remember 7 being the limit but don't really remember.

Top hat valve seal and valve train
Thanks for all the updates. This is all good info. That we'll all need someday...…………...if we all keep our heaps long enough.

Belt squeal fixed
I looked at the green belts on Rock Auto. They were the top 2 most expensive, although not much more than what I got. This one is the third from the top. Guess I didn't like green on my white truck

'The Boost Bus'
Where am I when these deals come around? Good purchase. My 95 PSD was the most trouble free vehicle I have owned.

PH test strips
Are they anything special and where do you get them? And what is the magic number? 7 comes to mind but not sure. Could just search for this but thought it may be a worth while topic for others to read.

Belt squeal fixed
Had a nasty belt squeal for a while. Kinda embarrassing to drive since it was louder than the engine itself. I could spray water on it and it would quiet down so I figured it's the belt. Bought the one in the picture from Rock Auto and the squeal is gone! Even the signature Cummins chirp on shutdown has gone away. Time will tell how it holds up. Just wanted to share for those fighting a squeal.

- Top hat valve seal and valve train
Took a look at the Lions Head bottle and it says it's not bothered by gasoline, oil, and specifically mentions diesel oil being OK. Just thinking, what about one of the many Perma Tex products? They're made to bond dissimilar materials in oil and heat and are pliable enough to handle he heat cycles where a super glue type thing gets hard and cracks. All you really need is a little extra grip to hold them in place. Another thought. Have you contacted the seal manufacturer to see what they say? If this is a common issue surely somebody has a fix for it. Just throwing some ideas out there to try to help.- Bumpers any advice
Another reason to have an HD bumper.- Bumpers any advice
I was gonna try that this fall. Now you went and left the cat out of the bag - Top hat valve seal and valve train
