  1. No problem. Glad if I could help. I think Todds a one man shop and it's tough sometimes to juggle tools and the phone. Just another thought...... Landis transmissions is right close to you. I have no experience with them and don't know what they know about diesel but years ago it seemed like that was the place to go. Might be worth while to talk to them.
  2. I had never even dropped a pan before I did it to install a shift kit. As stated above keep it clean and take your time and basic mechanics will get you through it . I would loosen the screws and drop it slightly the night before because it will drip forever. Also make sure you have enough ATF. It will take more than just a regular pan drop and filter change.
  3. Todd's a good guy. So is CK transmission in Cocalico, and I have nothing but good to say about Transmissions by Arbogast in Sinking Spring as well. He built up my Powerstroke trans for me years ago and installed in less than a week for less$$ than an OEM rebuild alone. Steve's Transmissions in Myerstown is also good. That's all I have experience with.
  4. Like he said^^^^^^^^^^
  5. Welcome! Good to se some other easterners here . I'm from Reinholds and come over your way to work.
  6. It's not the covers, I was just referencing them. I did not remove the floor pan yet but I like your suggestion on the drive motors. I was not sure how that worked but as you explain it that makes perfect sense to me. I'll check it out. Thanks You!!!!
  7. Here you go. The third one is one of the 4 covers I speak of.
  8. Just loaded the stove this morning. I'll be at 5 cord if this winter keeps hanging on.
  9. About 4 cord between the house and garage. Mostly oak, maple , and ash Cold winter this year in PA.
  10. Hey Wild&Free. You may be able to help me if you used to work on the 1840/45's. Not sure if the 1835 is the same or not but there is a plastic cover on a gear oil reservoir at each wheel. I assume to lube the chain as well as the wheel bearings. The right side on mine don't leak but the left side leaks somewhere and collects on the under body floor pan. It doesn't appear to run out of the outside of the axles. For now I keep adding but would like to fix. Any ideas where it my be leaking. Sorry if I'm going off topic on my own thread
  11. I would too. They need any help they can get
  12. I can. I got my info. from Coleman equipment on the web.
  13. Case made both the gas and diesel offerings if my spec. sources are correct. It's a sweet running little engine. Purrs so nice at idle and has plenty of power for the size machine. I'll try some 2 stroke in it next fill up.
  14. Hi all! I recently bought a Case 1835B skid steer w/ a Case diesel in it. While dumping red fuel in the other day I got to thinking about adding 2 stroke. My gut feeling is it can't hurt but what do you all think?
  15. I sacrificed a Craftsman 9/16 socket and beat on it so I wouldn't mess up the $15 a piece bolts. Gives you a little more to hit on too.
  16. Thanks Ed. That's a very kind offer. I'll definitely keep it in mind.
  17. Good to know and keep in mind.
  18. OOOPS, I missed that. I pulled it up from the recent topics.
  19. On a 2001 truck? That's what his garage says anyway.
  20. Thanks guys! I'll get it swapped in sometime and see what happens and post back.
  21. E-Mail Blacklisted? When I follow this link.
  22. Mine is going bad. Ed says above it might run or it might not without a re-flash, which the used one I bought is from the same year. I didn't know where the mileage is stored which is why I asked. What am I purchasing from DAP? A Smarty?
  23. That's awesome! If I did that to my boss I'd have all the time in the world to work on my truck!
  24. Kinda re-visiting this one and another question. Where does the odo. get it's info.? If I put another ECM in will I have the mileage from that truck or will I retain my trucks mileage?
  25. That's funny right there. I guess the honeymoons over?
