Made my cables a bit long so if the ends come loose I can cut them back and invest in a crimper. P.S. Don't forget the shrink tubing....(don't ask)

Other than the crowds, you'll love the keys. One of my favorites in winter. May will be quite warm. Two other rides I like are 9336 to Flamingo. Not much there but a marina and campground, but if you like hiking, there are a few trails going through the Everglades. Grab an ice cream and pop at the marina. The other is 997 north to 41 west. 41 is awesome. Take that to Naples, have a good meal and return on 41. 41 is what Alligator Alley used to be like before it was turned into a 4 lane divided highway. Both these rides start in Homestead. Have a nice vaca and ride safe, Florida is FULL of bad drivers.

Not exactly the same, but these stories of starting on gas and switching over reminds me of my introduction of the techniques to start an old Cat D-8 with a pony motor. The pony was gas and was what was used to spin the diesel. Get the pony screaming and start putting pressure on a lever which used a clutch setup I believe to start turning the diesel. My dad was telling me what to do and what to watch out for. He told me to always use my foot on the lever and not my hand as leg bones were harder to break than arm bones.... WHAT!? It was a single digit day in the middle of January. I was a year out of high school. 6'2" and 165 lbs.....yes, I was a bean pole. Well I started to engage the lever slowly and as the diesel started turning, applied more pressure to get as much power transfered to spin the diesel to life. She started chugging pretty good when all of a sudden it kicked back and launched me off the track and to the ground. My dad was laughing so hard I thought (and hoped) he'd pee his pants. He finally said, "and that's why you use you foot and not your hand." Haven't thought about that day for a long time.....🤣😂🤣😂

Testing for AC is very simple. You need a meter that can read AC voltage on a low scale. Positive probe to output stud on back of alt and negative to negative post on passenger battery. Should read less than 0.05. I think test is to be done after driving truck for awhile to top up batteries after starting and to be sure grid heaters are off. I'm sure someone will chime in to correct or verify what I said as I may have something not completely right, but that's the jist of the test.

My guage is electric and reading off a port on the air dog. May not be optimal, but it's working. No snubber or line. Sender is screwed into air dog.

That's what's in my truck. Haven't had any issues at all. I also like changing the colors once in awhile.... I've had my truck for a little over 3 years.

Rust sucks.... simple jobs turn into projects. I had to do the loose tilt column on my 89. I was surprised at how easy it was. FYI... Don't know if you've already done it, but the bolt are E-bolts, or something like that. Reverse torx. Bought these at HF. Don't remember what size was needed.

If he can't ride because of back issues, the Trike won't help. Because of the two wide rear tires, you get alot of side to side bumping. By side to side I mean when one wheel hits a bump, that side lifts and you get a kind of sideways force to your body. On a bike you get the up and down bumping, then add in the side to side and the ride on a trike is definitely rougher. If that makes sense.....

Love them. I also like the ones that are made like shrink tube. Genius.

Then throw in a wind and I just can't handle it. Thanks. I really liked the Limited. Hated to trade it. Rode 4.5 hrs. each way to get the Trike last April. Was a chilly day. Wife doesn't like cold. Told her it was about 3 hrs each way. She wasn't happy, but didn't complain. Told her if I told the truth, she'd of never went. She said I was right. I think that was the first and last time I've been right in 13.5 years, so it was worth it.....🤣😂🤣😂🤣

2002 Heritage Softail. My baby... 2020 HD Trike. My old age answer to old age. Not stopping me from traveling. 2018 Ultra Limited. My retirement gift to myself. Loved it, but my knees are getting bad and almost lost it a couple times. Traded it for the Trike.

My wiper work fine if I hit wash, or any delay setting. If they are on slow or fast, I have to shut them off at a certain area of the swipe for them to park normally. Another area will cause them to go to park and then come up about 1/4 swipe and stop. If shut off at 3/4-full swipe, they will just stop. On older Chevy's, they had a printed circuit board that was easily replaced to correct this exact problem. You think the CTM would fix my issue and where is it?

I wouldn't call it nothing. There are families out there that had a loved one disappear without a trace. I'm sure that would be devastating.

I hate thieves, however, if I swipe one of them signs off the side of the road, is it really stealing? I mean, it was bought with taxpayer money and I ain't on welfare, soooo.........

I live in an unincorporated part of the county. They just passed new restrictions here regarding burning in your yard. Fires can only be max 3x3x3. Must be only wood so there is a minimum of smoke. No more burning of yard or construction debris. No more burning of leaves. These restrictions have been in place within city limits for awhile, now they are expanded to include us. Just whittling away at our lives little by little. Now every year in the fall, the forest preserve burns the dead grass, leaves and weeds from all of their property. They put signs up along the road saying it's a controlled burn, don't call 911. The amount of smoke is incredible. Looks like the vids of the fires out west. So it's OK for them, but not for us. The amount of double standards being created in government is getting redicilous. They also implemented an unincorporated county wide order telling us what garbage collector we have to use. North half uses one, south half another. I'm in the north and the company they are telling us to use is twice as expensive as the one I'm using. How can they dictate free enterprise? What's going to happen to the company myself and many others use? Sounds like a behind closed doors kickback scam that we will be funding. It's getting more and more like Chicago here, and I'm not a fan. Rant over....... for now
