  4. Yea if it were me id wait for some aluminums to come your way, the chrome is just too much for me. Out of curiosity what all do you have to change to upgrade to the 3rd gen brakes?? i got 60k miles out of my old brake pads and they always stopped fine so i doubt ill look into it any further.-Jordan-
  5. I would put the plate in as well, not really sure about clearance issues though. And yes the clip in my sig is very necessary lol-Jordan-
  6. I heard about this from the guy that owns the shop i take my truck to when its somethings i cant or dont have the stuff to do. He was talking about using transformer oil and seeing as how I work for an electric company I believe Im gonna see if i can get my hands on some. Im like the rest of you I dont know about running it in my cummins but i have an old 92 F-350 with an old idi motor in it i believe ill try some in.-Jordan-
  7. How big is the crack, also could you get a pic or two of it? Also was the crack due to rust at all, if not can you tell what may have caused the crack? Last can you get to it and cover everything up to lay some heat down and weld that crack up?-Jordan-
  8. Those 3rd gens look great on your truck, I have a buddy selling some chrome clad 3rd gens but I want aluminum if I switch. I actually had terrible luck with the Terra grapplers i had on my truck, only got around 25k miles out of them, and the Hankook dyna pros i have now looks like there on the same path or worse. Probably going to go down a size from 315/75r16's and to a little less aggressive tire as well.-Jordan-
  9. Heres what I call bulk oil buying, two 2500gallon tanks of Mobil oil, one 5w30 for all the gasoline powered trucks at work, and Mobil Delvac 1600 15w40 for all the diesels. -Jordan-
  10. I know Oreillys had Mobil Delvac 15w40 for 16.99 with a $5 mail in rebate when I was there last and $30 mail in rebates on 5 gal buckets. If I didnt already get plenty of it from work I probably have bought a bucket or two of it.-Jordan-
  11. Wow that BTU chart is pretty interesting -Jordan-
  12. Just finished doing front and rear brakes, parking brake and both pinion seals last night on mine, both of my back rotors needed a pretty good beating to get them off of mine as well even after loosening the star wheel adjuster. And yea the clips are trash only needed for factory assembly.-Jordan-

  22. I used what ever Oreillys top level of battery is, i get a pretty good discount there and they have a pretty good warranty is why i went with them. Had the batteries on for right at 3 years now with zero problems-Jordan-
  23. Had the same problem with mine, wouldnt light up when i had a trailer plugged up but would when i hit the slider but either way the brakes didnt work. I unplugged the trailer and hooked a test light to a good ground and stuck it in the trailer brake hole. Went and hit the brakes and the brake controller was working fine and the test light would light up when i would hit the brakes so i knew it was on the trailer side, luckily it was a quick and easy fix (trailer brake wire pulled out of the plug on the trailer side.)-Jordan-
  24. Ha ha ha i just went to google and typed in Wild Bill Gif! -Jordan-
