  1. The150 AMP alternator fuse holder is mounted on the outside lip of the right battery tray. I had to drill a hole through the fuse holder to mount it.
  2. Try applying heat to stubborn bolts/nuts next time. Mapp or acetylene gas torch will do it.
  3. You are right about the retractor having the switch in it. From the FSM: "A seat belt switch is integral to the driver side front seat belt retractor unit."
  4. The "W-T ground wire mod". This moves ECM, VP and grid heater grounds from the left battery to the right battery.
  5. Have you seen this article about the PCM grounds? 24 Valve 2nd Generation - Electrical PCM Ground Splice Repair
  6. I second what @Tractorman recommends. last October, while on a trip to the Portland area, my alternator shorted to ground. The short blew the 150-amp fuse, similar to the photo above. I had installed it after doing the "W-T" modification. With out that fuse and the properly gauged wire there could have been a catastrophic fire under the hood.
  7. That is caused by high resistance by either open circuit or a bad ground. OHM test those circuits for a problem it might help you with the other problems.
  8. Maybe a different blend. Found this online: "Biodiesel generally yields lower fuel mileage than conventional diesel, with a roughly 10% decrease in efficiency for pure biodiesel (B100) due to lower energy density ( content). However, common blends like B20 (20% biodiesel) typically show negligible differences in performance or mileage compared to conventional diesel."
  9. What's the pin weight, empty/gross, on the truck's rear axle? Is that 16k lbs. empty or gross?
  10. Same speakers I put in my truck three years ago. They sound all right. My son says I should put a small base thumper under the seat so that I can "feel the music". Just what I need to go deaf faster.
  11. Nice dash cam. I have a dash cam in all of my vehicles, not as nice as yours but it's cheap additional accident insurance for when the other driver says, "it's not my fault". Case in point when a truck pulling a trailer ran the trailer into my right front fender. He was giving me a song and dance about it until I said " do you see that camera in the windshield? It's recording everything". He then said, "I guess you got me". His insurance company was giving me a bad time about paying the claim. I told them to grab a box of popcorn and watch the video on You Tube. They paid up. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5mTHYzV5IT8
  12. Sounds like a "hell of a drive".
  13. Congratulations!
  14. If your generating high boost pressures, then yes; a lot of air going in then a lot of air needs to go out. That depends on if you want to hear yourself. My truck only has a resonator, and my wife always complains on how loud it is. Someone else will have to answer that question. I have a Magnaflow 4" 304 stainless steel turbo back exhaust system, cost $300.61 but this exhaust kit is no longer available. I installed it 20 years ago and have had no problems with it, but I live in SoCal where there isn't a rust problem, and I have only put a little over 102k miles on it in that time.
  15. I don't race and not about to freeze my A$$ off in the cold winters of Southern California.
