  1. They sell them for the valve that goes behind the frig for the ice maker water supply and shut off.
  2. Take and squirt a shot of W-D40 at the idler pulley bearing. See if it goes away.
  3. Turbo damage or has bearing play? bad Idler pulley?
  4. I'm sorry I thought I saw he was the only chicken with web feet.....
  5. Yes you have to back in one day and pull in forward the next . It turns out that most 6.2's have monster moss and don't know how Dripley ended up in virginia on his migration route. Man... he's way off .
  6. No no You make your truck the nicest one around. Remember 4x4's are worth more too even in snowless mudless country.
  7. They wouldn't let anyone go by plowing almost side by side, In the moment they left an opening I got around them. I was the only one that got thru as far as I know. .When I got to Redding with Oregon plates the state police had a road block and stopped me to ask for road conditions, if anyone was stranded etc. The next question was, 'how did you get thru?' LOL
  8. I like that a lot of after market items are better than oem as long as there isn't so much that it you have to work late every night to get it done. California has way better weather for working on trucks. Oregon isn't right now.
  9. I wouldn't be interested with that many mods. Frame extended and K&N Filter? That a sure stay away sign to me. Try finding untouched and original. I had to pay 16 k for a nice 01. On the other hand, It is always least expensive to fix what you have if not too far gone.
  10. Around here if there's one snowflake hit the windshield they freak.....get out, put chains on and do 20. Years ago they shut down I-5 over the siskyous mtns.. I didn't know it was illegal to pass the snow plows and got around them. Had the entire interstate to myself at 55 on fresh snow. It where like the rest of the world disappeared It was the most fun in my life owning that road all the way to Redding, Ca.
  11. What is the starter doing that prompts you to do the testing? Also, how many miles on your rig?

Welcome to the forum Please feel free to ask as there are many good folks around here. One of our members said, 'the only dumb question is the one not asked'.. Can't remember who, but expresses our attitude to a Tee. We are going thru some website changes and may be why no one has responded till now.
  13. Yep MoparMan is right as usual, I just went out and looked at it. A real bear to get to the bolt inside the fender and no way to reach down with the hood open either. I'm sorry about my 'easy job' statement as I did not think Dodge would have done that since my first gen was a cake walk to do.
  14. At Dripley's house they got 'em.
  15. Mopar1973man on too many meds...... from surgery..... It goes like this....... Fuel tank---- water seperating filter-----lift pump-----factory filter-------fuel pressure 'T' and needle valve'------ then Vp44. branched off at the 'T' and needle valve-------5 feet of line-------then the electronic sensor.
  16. What bothers me is like you say they can't get it right with starters and alternators. Look at the ECM rebuilders and the garbage some of them are doing. And they wanna build self driving vehicles? ...... imagine a simple electronic failure at 65 mph! There are some simple facts in life.... that concrete cracks.... rain makes mud..... and electronics do fail. I'll stick with my Cummins. .
  17. I found out the same thing having owned a Land Rover..... What an expensive P.O.S.
  18. Make sure to plumb the sensor after the filter so its also an indication of the filter's condition and effect on pressure. I'm glad it's running great........ don't go too long without the lubricity it needs.
  19. Beside the satisfaction and pride doing it yourself is the avoidance of poor workmanship and overcharges so common today. I have experienced so much of it my whole life that I finally rebelled, buying my own tools and joining this community of other rebels.
  20. we had 6 inches at my place this morning. Funny how living in the middle of woods gives more snow. We are inside a pocket ......when you drive out the snow is usually 3-4 inches less outside our wooded area. I have to stay off the roads around here because all the time you'll see all fours locked up and gone skiing LOL
  21. They are easy to replace. I never did one until about two yrs ago on my first gen Dodge. I wish I had done it sooner than later as It really was easy to do. Main thing is to find something to support the weight of the door while you change it out. Also having someone hold the door from flopping. You can pretty much go by the old hinge marks on the paint for a guide to get the door lined up into its original position.
  22. I like the idea of the US Coast Guard approved diesel line Pepsi71ocean mentions. (Trouble ticket here) could not get this sentence to go to the right place below what Dieselfuture said .
  23. Kick the 'but' right in the butt and do it anyway if you can.
  24. I know so little about the steering column, so all I can suggest is try tightening the column mounting bolts and look at the transmission linkages. Could be from outside underneath linkage also.
  25. Yes my 1/2'' blue fuel line is less expensive stuff from Vulcan on both my trucks and its cracking on the outside. The inner lining does last a long time, but how long I don't know...... its been on my 02 since about 07. On my 01 since early 20017. Not bad really
