My wife manages a small tax/ accounting office and as long as I am in Business, not on a payroll like employees, the law states that I do not have to pay the penalty. Things like this convoluted law tell me we have an oppressive government interested in only revenue, stealing the freedom and future of our children. Hiding behind flagrant lip service, at the same time drilling numerous large holes in our American foundation. These people will end up in the Hutton Tutton by taking part and instigating such a rift to faith, honor, integrity, morals and destroying the very guidance of our children. Sorry you guys..... got carried away.

I'm rebellious against the healthcare system. Experienced so many mistakes, stupid things from doctors that I don't care to have insurance. I take the money and save it and pay my own doctor bills. This fund so far has never given me any problems paying the bills to whomever I want to see. I also use the money to eat very healthy foods, never give a hoot about the cost just get the best I can find. I also use the savings on staying happy with travels and providing for projects that I am so motivated doing that it keeps me young, interested and excited at heart. If you want a real healthy heart pray with your heart to our Lord. It's the most wonderful when He touches your heart each day.

Well I took the ECM off and used nylon washers between the block and the ECM to reduce heat transfere. I then added a nice size ground wire from one of the mounting studs to the battery negative post. Next I found some old shop vac hose that I added so it would scoop cooler air from under the front bumper and directed it to go between the ECM and the block. Mike says I got too much time on my hands but, when I'm the last guy in the world to have a functioning ECM I know I'll have to have a full time guard watching my truck so Mike won't pilfer it.

That's bad news. I wonder if you could take it to a local electrical engineer for repairs. One big enemy to the ECM is heat so that is why I installed an outside air cooler directed at the ECM with isolation washers between the engine block and the ECM. As you can tell, I have too much time on my hands when off work.

Not sure about anything these days but, I think Dripley has his pump connected to the alternator somehow. Like I said I'm not sure how to do that one.

20 amp is good. Think I heard problems having a 30 amp fuse.

Yes a long time ago I learned that a good deal is most often a bad deal and try to go reasonable or fair off the best stuff made.

Interesting the bad pump would cause the ECM to lose power. Something with excessive power draw or grounding inside the pump?

It took me 3 mos. of looking to find a good 2nd gen. Finally got tired and settled on an 02 24 valve with auto trans. It was the lowest miles around and completely unmolested. Still virgin if you will.

I think I've heard that the 6 spd is more problematic over time than the 5. Definatly more expensive to rebuild. Have you thought about employees hammering it on the way back from a flagging trip? Employees barrowing to haul heavy for weekends? I think it's not a one owner in this case. Without records, a paint job and other things that got redone why on just a flag truck? I sends up big smoke signals to me.... I'd stay away because a company truck usually stays basic stock. It's got big red flag as far as I'm concerned.

You need fuel pressure gauge and two cycle oil in the tank before you start cruising anywhere. Does the wait to start light work? If you just bump the starter it's designed to run the pump for about 25 seconds but if fully running the engine it should go 100% of the time.

Me too! I would be looking for a one owner unmolested under 2 hundred k miles. Even under 1 hundred k miles. I don't know if this is right but I don't care for the sport bumpers and non sport grill. Something is not right there, esp. with the repaint.

When I was young with my very first pick up truck I would advertise that I would do local hauling. I would haul things for the local museum and other private families. One client was very wealthy and found that I was a good worker so he offered me a job to do a variety of things for him on a regular basis. Not anything full time mind you but, he called enough that I always had money in my pocket with the other work in between. He always gave me a good tip and was fun to work for in that I think we shot the bs about his big cattle ranch and his life. Anyway I always got done what he wanted for the day. This lasted till I decided to move away to a greener part of the country and start a new life less crowded. It was a fun little business with lots of different folks and things to do.

I started doing better financially when I put it all into God's hands and just let it go. I began concentrating on always doing the right thing for others, rather than thinking about money.

That has to hurt. Makes me wonder what the root of all this is.... maybe they are trying to create another shortage like back in 09 with the drastic price increases. But then I still cannot understand because I don't think demand/ consumption has dropped off even with the global warming talk.

Just rain here, mostly during the night. It's so mild I have the window open all night long and like it when the rain comes down like a fire hose. It just hammers with sound.

After what has happened I'm only taking the best of the very best jobs from now on. It seems these younger new contractors leave a lot to be desired.... tired of that so only fun jobs from now on. Start own biz but, beware you'll go crazy if you take on too much.
