  1. Sorry 'bout runnin' the rant Joe. I just can't help myself.
  2. They are all competing with each another to see who can get the biggest trophey for being the most twisted. That way they get big media attention, slowly tearing down a strong moral society. Insurmountable debt, argueing, arrogance, never agreeing, lies, caring for nothing but they're own finacial/ political gain, the offending of those that believe in the Bible and those that had loved ones who died for this country. Enforcement of a healthcare system run by folks that cannot balance their own checkbooks. Legislating jobs out of the country, placing an ever bigger tax burden on the working class. Approving drug use. As if there's no God, no Son of God. Means only one thing to our poor young kids.... ending up with little no conscience/ work ethic, seeing glorified blood gut movies, swearing, adultry as common practice, guns as common practice. I've noted lately almost no one driving with love and regard for others on the highways. Recent increase of hit and runs, deliberate running over people, shootings over childish road rage, school shootings. It is a symptom of things to come. A country without direction/ guidance is a failing country. I think the good hard working folks with little or no debt, good morals in this country should split off from this tryanny and continue America as it was originally intended.

We used to make lemon grenades. Take lemons and stuff a firecracker in them, lite it and throw it or roll it. Everyone thought we were just rolling lemons off the tree but when they went off they were sprayed with lemon juice. Sorry to get off subject..... very interesting ISX
  4. Hmm, sounds like that's all they need to reveal, not the proprietary info. Never know.... might just have right kind of snake oil. I'm not a chemist but seems to me you need solvents to lower the cloud point in the fuel. I'd probly put in normal amount of 2 stroke then add the anti-gel stuff. Whatever amount of anti-gel goes in I'd add in again, that much more 2 stroke. I'd probly do a test overnight in a clear bottle letting sit outside to see how little it takes for no cloud in the fuel.
  5. I see your reason for using it. Have you tried getting the MSDS on it?
  6. Driply yeah.... them Cummins are killers made me laugh seeing your post too
  7. Make sure you have free flowing fuel from the tank because the in tank screens can clog at the bottom and there is another white plastic cylinder shaped filter w/ screens inside the bottom of the canister. It has a stock fuel line coming out the top. This small filter, about 4 inches long, just unsnaps and fits in the garbage can real nice. It kinda looks like it's part of the canister bottom but, it does unsnap easily. Add your own pre lift pump filter to keep the pump fresh. If you get this far, make sure you got 1/2 inch lines all the way with the 1/2'' draw straw as well. These things make the pump not work so hard. Then make sure you don't have the tank vent problem where no air can get to the tank causing a vacuum and making pump work extra hard.
  8. Yep, I just wanted to fire it up to see if it ran good after a couple fixes. Boy did I find out! The dang truck door was closing tighter and tighter against the garage door opening squeezing my legs ever tighter against the truck threshold. Man that hurt, but, I had to stay with it till I got it shut down. Some bad bruises as a result. Also the parking brake does nothing to stop it, you gotta' get to the key. I think they oughta' take several Cummins trucks aimed at tterrorists, pull the neutral safety switch and start them up all at ounce.
  9. Mopar Mike's got me so sold on 2 stroke for an additive, I really don't spend much time getting to know others. I even keep a case of gallon jugs on the shelf all the time. If the dollar's value goes, I think 2 stoke would still be good even at Mc Donalds for a hamburger. Mopartech, I think that if there is no expressed score value, which is always the best selling point, there might be a reason. Of course being wrong all my life has become common practice with me Except for buying Cummins trucks.
  10. I did this once..... the truck almost went thru back wall of the shop. I shoved the table saw into the rear wall work bench. Work bench was crushed. Also ran over my creeper and a gallon jug of used oil which squirt ouit everywhere. I now make it a rule to be sitting in the truck before starting. Even if I know that puppy is in neutral. Good habits are hard to break
  11. When our trucks broken we fix it or take it to get repaired....... so does that model go to the barber or the butcher shop?
  12. Keep up the good work.... I appreciate your post and what you are doing.
  13. Not to worry tho Dorkweed, milk puts hair on yer chest They got a beautiful new model hitting the press lately.... have you seen her? only 'she's got a penis. Then they got transvestites able to use girls or boys locker rooms and restrooms, which ever they choose for p.e. class now. This just plain bad... some parents pullin' their kids out of school. Can't blame..... I'd get my daughters out right now or get out of California where this law passed. I'm not one fer swearin' but, this is effing screwed up. BTW, This stuff offends everyones Christian ethics, our forefathers and my dad who died in the war.
  14. One more thought...... all these housing developments, rules and regulations, community parks and their rules, stripped of their natural vegetation, housing so close together there is no where for kids to get creative, play rough, learn what hard work does in creating a fort, or building cars into the wee morning hours. Not to mention ordinances about starting a biz. It's very unfortunate to see so many overweight and non overweight kids stuck in this urban, over ruled, over ordinancized, structured surrounding. It is no wonder they are becoming lazy tv watchers, video game addicts, internet addicts, some just plain addicts, participating in mostly the same of what most parents do themselves. I can't help thinking...... are they are left with not much choice? When I grew up I had the woods to be wild, build igloo type forts out of big fir branches, climb trees and have my bud chop it down for the ride going down. We were mountain biking back then thru the woods on street bikes. We were wild back then but not bad kids. Man I tell you.... kids now a days don't know what true freedom and fun really is. We are loosing the real backbone building in our youth today.
  15. I found some Mercruiser boat motor paint and masked off around the cut, laid newspaper over the tank and sprayed away. I will eventually mask and spray all the ss screws and bolts showing. This is one of those mods that you do if you need a good challenge and with nothing else to do.... well.... I actually relished figuring a way thru this. I went and cut the hole and bed frame first. That way I was forever committed to getting it done
  16. It's all bolted using existing frame holes and carraige bolts thru the bed. I took a small file to square up the holes for the stainless carriage bolts in the bed. You can see the cover plate (1/4'' aluminum diamond plate) in post #3 leaning up, showing about half of it you can see.
  17. I've been in biz a long time. In the 90's things were great. Loads of money everywhere. Now many different explainable, some unexplainable circumstances surrounding the U.S. my biz is just a skeleton of what it used to be. Yes, some say it's a matter of advertisement and promoting the biz more but, I have discovered it better to keep the few good clients and their friends/ family in the scheme. This because so many need to scrape bottom for the least expensive price anymore, seemingly breeding greater acceptance of lesser quality. I refuse to get caught up in this scenario that seems to carry a higher degree of customers that are unhappy. It's a shame to work for so little too with no real wage/ profit anymore. What has happened??? I cannot say.... I'm 62 and can still out work the young guys, some telling me they cannot believe I've worked that hard all my life. I don't think it's any one aspect of what is wrong... it's many factors, along with seemingly diminishing good ethics in most areas and a lot of people. Anymore I can only trust the Lord, but, can't help feeling tremendous disappointment about wasting so many good quality skills I've acquired in 36 years of hard, hands on work. It's been a very satisfying, otherwise, to say the least.
  18. Forgot this one too Thanks joe... proly take you young guys only half a day
  19. If you look close you can see how I supported the cut cross member to the bed frame and supported the bed floor. All bolting to the truck frame was from existing factory holes because I didn't want to drill any holes in the truck main chassi. One of the pics shows my shut off valves to my in line filter and AD100 so I can easily change out either one. There is another shut off valve next to the transfer case to not loose fuel prime too. Also notice my tall fuel filter has a protection plate. I remove one bolt and it swings out of the way for filter changing.
  20. 12 seconds with the cordless drill and my fuel tank top is exposed . It took 2 and 1/2 days and every bit of head ache to figure out how to do it. Believe me..... it ain't worth it..... unless you like a real challenge. I like doing the impossible sometimes... it gets me goin. Okay...... last night I modded that canister, cut the bottom off to get the bigger hose thru, ran the screws to make it solid, (no more slide extension) and added 1 3/4 inches to the draw straw. I hope it stops the 0216 code I've been driving on for two years from pulling air with a short drawstraw. I'm sorry for no pics yet. I do not know how and the wife has been busy with tax season starting. Should get them up today.
  21. I like all your ideas and discussion about this. Seems I don't even need the module to slide up and down. It can be made stationary with some screws. The plastic is rather brittle so I would pre-drill for any screws to be added to insure you don't crack the module. I could remove the bottom most piece (just snaps on) that used to hold the fine screen mesh on the sides, which were cut out years ago. This would allow for a 1/2'' hose clamped on to extend closer the bottom and not get hung up with movement. Cool! Thanks you guys.
  22. Mopar Mike, I like the pic you posted above. It shows your draw straw but no module/ anti slosh tube around it. Is it installed that way? With that part of the module gone or removed?
  23. rancherman thank you for the thoughts. That is one intelligent post you made. Thank you. Yes it occurs at half a tank. Used to only see it at a quarter tank but since I was in Nevada where it's much colder, like you say, the fuel is much thicker. It happens when running and sloshing the tank on turns, braking and take offs. Now how it got so short......... never knew it was till yesterday, been at least 7 yrs like that since I trusted the guy that installed it. No, I'm not one to blame someone since I've made more mistakes with age. Should I order a new draw straw and cut it about 1/2'' off the bottom at an angle? Or should I just add a piece of clamped on rubber hose up higher? With the hose higher it won't be hitting, interfering the sleeve action of the module. I'm worried the rubber hose will cause other issues later down the road.
  24. I think this is the cause of the AD 100 giving off this sudden intermitant whoot like sound as if air is shootin' thru. Those moments show a very quick drop in Fuel pressure. Could it do this even at a half a tank though? Just wonderin' what your thoughts might be.... I can't just extend it with a piece of hose and clamp. It will cause a hang up with the lower sleeve of the module extending and retracting
  25. Driply, as long as your headed out west with these restaurants don't forget Oregon. You got a place in the afternoon shade with a mountain view. Full hook ups.
