Hard/ No Start Problem
I somehow sensed this was the problem since the starter has the highest amp draw anyways.... I figured it was shorting out/ sucking the batterie(s) dry in a split second of trying to start the truck.

VP or something else??
i read about so many bad tank vent stories that I added my own reliable tank vent. Hex, that's why you're an 'infidel' .... bad tank vent problems.......... spoken from a true truck psycologist.

A Great Way To Gardening...
hexOrz, It's good your really getting into this. The doggone grocery bill is gettin up there... about $500 each month. With a garden it's like free income from God and there's no taxes, except we should be truely thankful. Thanks for the thoughts on this because I'm going to do this more too.

Hard/ No Start Problem
I had this problem with my first gen. The starter was shorting out and pulling the one good battery down in one single attempt to start it. I hooked up the second gen with jumper cables and in one try it pulled both those batteries almost all the way down also. I stopped trying and went and bought a rebuilt starter. It's been fine ever since. I imagine it's something about the starter contacts going out. I think that's why Larry B's special starter contacts for our Dodges are selling for him. It's a mod some guys are doing even before the problem comes up. I hope this helps

A Great Way To Gardening...
I bought a dod kennel off craiglist for 50 bucks. This works since I have deer problems. I have a huge gopher problem so I placed a metal floor inside with a 4x6 p.t. perimeter. Anyway I built walk around planter boxes on top of the metal floor and put in very rich soil. It does okay for a 10 x10. I might cover the whole thing with plastic for a greenhouse effect. Need to build another one eventually I

A Great Way To Gardening...
Thank You I got it that time. Interesting intro to a better way of gardening and staying healthy. I studied some of that in years past, John Jeavens method and so forth. But I'm terribly lazy about gardening. I plan on doing more however, because the food in the stores is getting fake and flakier with every passing day. I can't believe some of the $#!t from the stores. We keep trying the most expensive only to find we're ripped off again. Thank you.

A Great Way To Gardening...
My vegies exploded with growth when I mixed in about 50 % compost. My neighbor uses lots peat moss (expensive) and his veg garden is almost like a jungle I cannot get the above video to work for me.

Exploded View Of a Bosch VP44 pump
I wonder if Bosch doesn't want everyone knowing about this part because it might be an easy fix for many of the pumps sent in for rebuild.

Death Wabble
Mike and others, My 02 when it was still stock needed a new track bar because the upper bushing was worn out at 29,000 miles. It was a big surprise with so little miles. The 03 track bar solved this problem with a stronger beefier upper bracket. No more small knuckle bushing. The only reason to spend a little more money for the adjustable was in case I ever wanted a leveling kit Next the steering box shaft was moving side to side and the area the steering box mounts to was flexing the frame. I was very surprised. Not only was it hard on the shaft bearing, but, the frame being soft in such a critical area could cause future metal fatigue. The DSS was deigned by an engineer to stop all movement of the shaft and frame flex problems.

Death Wabble
Mopar Man, if you did put on a DSS steering stabilizer even when your truck had 2 miles on it you would have noticed an improvement. Is it possible that you are so used to driving worn out fire trucks?

oil pressure sensor
Congrats on the BoJangles deal. I hope it all goes well

Death Wabble
My truck has the 2'' level kit and my steering is spot on for being tight, straight and the wheel at 12 o'clock. It has the 03 adjustable trac bar, adjusted back to center after the lift. I have the DSS steering stablizer. New greasable american made ball joints and tie rod ends. All this made the truck steer like new. The DSS alone helped out a lot when my truck only had 30 k miles on it.

W&f, Check Your Water!
That is a good thing when they stay 8 yrs. and keep the grass mowed. Says a lot about the landlord

Let It Snow
You can send some of that our way to west Oregon, everyone wants it out here. It's like we don't get a winter, most times just plain rain. we are in the early stages of a drought this time around. Happy New Year out there. You'll need snow shoes if you keep getting our moisture clouds going your way.

oil pressure sensor
Thanks a lot Dripley Happy New Year too..... Hope you get lots of chicken houses to build this year

oil pressure sensor
Dripley do you remember where you bought that sensor? I want to use that to activate my lift pump relay and no longer rely on the ECM.

W&f, Check Your Water!
My experience as a contractor/ builder/ carpenter since 77 tells me a lot about how renters and landlord attitudes differ. The biggest complaining/ problem renters, seem to have those landlords that are only concerned with always cutting corners. On the other hand, I've met landlords that really do take care and seem to have the happiest most 'payinest' renters. There's always the exception, but the most successful rental empire landlords are those that show good will toward those living there. Good will breeds more good will passed on down the line.

W&f, Check Your Water!
To prevent the plumbing vent freezup and getting clogs the county makes the plumber increase the size of the vent pipe up one or two sizes inside the attic or wall before going thru the roof. That's code for very colder areas.

Career change contemplated
One thing I know is the older you get the more important it is to stay physically active. Not having a sedentary occupation will keep you healthier, younger. I have been a working contractor, remodeling and new constn., since 1977. I am 62 now and plan on staying with it even longer because I love it even more now that I am selective about the type of jobs I take. This way I get more rest and travels between contracts. Slowing down balancing work and play makes everything more enjoyable. If something is difficult I hire help for making it reasonable on me. You will notice the older you are how utterly important it is to have things to do that make you stay active. So I build things since I get such a charge of energy for the work I forget all about the little aches and pains. Make sure whatever you do make sure that you love doing it too.

My 92 is a real 'dog' most the time except When cold outside... What could be wrong??
Problem solved.....Not sure what did it. Bj's suggestion showed everything clean and in order on the solinoid However the electrical connection was loose and dirty. I fixed that. Next I pulled the fuel pin one more time to turn it to the left a little bit since the power seemed worse from my first attempt. Thanks to everyone here and now the truck even has more bottom end torque. It's great!

Thank you, I will report back on this sometime between now and New Years. Do you just take it apart or take it off the pump to see? I know very little about injection pumps .... I will try.

Radiator leak. Hot tank and repair or get new Rad.
Update on my 1st gen radiator..... The shop did a great job of it and there are no leaks. The guy at the shop said that this first gen radiator is a very good one and offered to by it at first, but, I told him to go ahead repairing it for the hundred bucks he quoted. A new one was $650 to $750. If I could only get a first gen rad into my second gen.
