AFM claims another one.
They claim that the Range AFM delete module is undetectable. I would think that if they want to dig deep they could find out how many times that AFM is active per key start ups or something like that.

AFM claims another one.
54,5xx miles on my '16 Silverado bought new. AFM has been deleted on my truck via running in M5 or by using the Range AFM delete module. In all the miles on my truck.............I'll bet less than 10 miles have been in V4 mode. Still pull 20+mpg on the highway running 70mph+.

2016 Silverado Mileage
The only problem I've had with that switch is if I try to "ease" it on and off. Just press it, and let it click solidly/hard vs. trying to baby it.

2016 Silverado Mileage
Sorry for not replying sooner guys; I've been out of town for almost 3 weeks. Illinois to Louisiana to Florida to central Illinois back to northern Illinois. 3500 miles in less than 3 weeks. Did a work trip to Nashville, TN 4 weeks prior to that towing my work trailer............that was another 1200 miles. I have just 15% left on the OLM and I just changed the oil about a week before my Nashville trip. My range AFM delete module has been working flawlessly. All the above mile were with it. Averaged about 15mpg running 65mph on the Nashville trip towing. And 20-22mpg running 70-75mph on the other trip......non-towing. I use this handy little switch to keep from having to plug in and then unplug the Range device all the time. https://www.amazon.com/Tonsiki-Female-Diagnostic-Extension-battery/dp/B00UR5XBMW/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1540069486&sr=8-3&keywords=tonsiki+obd+cable It keeps the Range from draining my battery if I don't use my truck for a few days................very, very rare for me though. I have read that the newer Range devices don't drain the battery like the older versions as they have a "shut off" in them now. Anyhow; the little switch works great................click it on prior to starting the truck, and click it off after shutting the truck down. Also have 51,0xx miles on this 2016 Silverado in just over 27 months of ownership.

Bilstein 5100 Shocks
UPDATE: I got the Bilstein 5100's installed on the front end of my truck on April 27; so I've had time to evaluated them, long term. There is a local shop about 1.5 miles away that said they'd swap the shocks out in the coil-overs/struts no problem. So on April 27, I pulled out the struts on the '16 Silverado, dropped them into a large backpack, slung it on my back, and rode my bicycle to the shop. Took about 25 minutes to complete both. Charged my $55.00 and I rode my bicycle home. 2 hours laters I had the 5100's installed. I have them set at 1.25" of lift in the front. Well 3 months later the verdict is that these shocks are the "REAL DEAL"!!! Even set with the slight 1.25" lift; these shock, at that setting ride better than the stock ones did at OEM height. IMHO; the stock ones had no dampening on "extension". Very pleased with the decision to do this mod.

I recall several years ago that I received some "flack"/"good natured ribbing"; because I posted that Mikes Mom was a "hottie"!!! It was a while back. You're a good guy Mike!!!- I can see!!!

Hope you're gonna burn that "next year". Splitting it now doesn't equate to "seasoned wood"!!- Morning Pic For Today...........Post A Pic around your place.....
Not here. I once shoveled a path thru deep snow to my wood pile so that I could stack 2-3 days worth of wood on my deck................had a deep freeze, and the line leaving my lift tank going to the field froze right where I exposed the ground to the air. It's only down about 18" there.- Morning Pic For Today...........Post A Pic around your place.....
Only about 3-4" of snow on the ground here, Mike. When it's cold like this, I'd much rather have a deeper snow on the ground so my septic doesn't freeze. It was pretty mild Fall/Winter until about 2 weeks ago................not very cold and little rain or snow. Then the DEEP FREEZE!!!!!!!- Morning Pic For Today...........Post A Pic around your place.....
- Grossing 16-17k in the Northeast, should I expect more from truck?
When I had MightyWhitey, my '04.5, empty cruising 65-70mph I'd be 4-7psi of boost depending on wind and temperature. Your's seem high to me.- Bilstein 5100 Shocks
I'm always careful my friend!! Sometimes stupid; but I do a lot of research on stuff I've not done before.............so I know what to expect.- Bilstein 5100 Shocks
Been doing the reading about the front lifts/levels Mike. Most say 2.5"+ is the danger zone for stressing components. I'm just going 1.25".............which is the average for what Bilstein says for where I'm positioning the bottom spring perch snap ring. Could be more, could be less.........................- Bilstein 5100 Shocks
I ordered these a couple days ago, and got them yesterday. I went with the 5100's because I have airbags in the rear, and am slightly higher than stock empty, and the rear 5100's are made for up to 1" of lift. I also want to raise the front a bit with the "ride height adjustability" that the 5100's offer. I believe this is a much better option than the traditional and easy way of lifting/leveling using a spacer or puck. I plan on the 1.25"lift in the front. I got the rears installed an hour after they arrived; took only 20 minutes to do both sides. The fronts are a lot more involved; as they are a "coil over" set up and a spring compressor is required to swap out the shocks. Don't know if'n I should just pull the coil overs out and take them to a shop to swap out the shocks................or rent a spring compressor and do it myself. Them manual spring compressors look sketchy at best. Anyhow; with just the rears swapped out, the ride in the back end has been transformed. No more bouncing like on a pogo stick!!! It my be a little more firm; but much more planted to the road if that makes any sense. Cannot wait to get the front end done.- The neatest splitter yet
That splitter may charge you with "sexual harassment" Mike!!!! - I can see!!!
