- Question?
Way "too" much texting verbiage for this cowboy. They are destroying the Queens English!!!- Fuel 2-3 psi
My "sensor" is pre-OEM 7 micron filter in the stock housing. It then goes to a 2 micron GDP filter set-up before the CP3. It's always been this way for me…………7+ years now IIRC.- Fuel 2-3 psi
How cold was it last night??? With my Walbro pump; I actually see higher/increased fuel pressure according to my gauge in the winter than in the summer. Usually 3-4psi increase when it really cold. I've never had a "gelling" problem or a frozen fuel line due to water. The fuel is more viscous when it's colder out, hense the increase in pressure……………..probably due to the filter media it's trying to pass thru.- Time to put the winter front on.
Mike, I'll see if I can dig up the info where I read this. IIRC, it was on Competition Diesel.- Tuning: MY03 pistons and BBi Stage 1's in a MY05 truck
Look forward to your future posts. Especially injector stuff…………199,588 miles on the OEM injectors as of yesterday.- Diesel fuel, School me!
That's still T-shirt weather here!!! Don't even know if you could find #1 diesel there.- I want one of these in my house in the mountains...
With a chimney fire, I'm sure the last thing I would be, you would be (and most home owners) would be worrying about is the glass door on the stove!!!! Just saying, not arguing!!- I want one of these in my house in the mountains...
If my stove starts to "run away", I've always got at least 1/2 bucket of ashes to throw over the fire if needed…………..along with a store bought "fire-smothered"!!! No black glass here…………………..just a light haze that you can only see if looking for it!! My wood is almost "baseball" bat dry.- 200,000
About 400 miles to go!!- Time to put the winter front on.
I've not put mine on the couple of winters prior to this one. Reason being, is that my truck started with the "dead pedal" thing if I idled too long or got behind a vehicle to close (drafting). After the first couple times it happened, I replaced the APPS. Not a fix. Then I started researching; I found out that the winter front can cause an increased temp in areas of the truck that the APPS wiring runs…………this causing the dead pedal and the codes. I'm not 100% sure on the above info, as I cannot find where I found this in the past, and I'm recalling it off memory. Since then, I've not run the winter front and have not have this problem. I dunno.- Going UPPP!!
Did you tell her it was a good thing that the "ejection button" wasn't hit??!!!- I want one of these in my house in the mountains...
Mike, do you have a "block off" plate with insulation above it to "seal" off the chimney (where the old damper was) so all the radiant heat doesn't fly up the chimney??? How do you monitor temps on that stove??? That's the nice thing about new stoves……………many use the high temp glass so you can see how the fire is burning.- I want one of these in my house in the mountains...
An old Fisher "smoke dragon"!!! Looks like it's still in good shape. I have my Englander cruising now at about 550-600* on the stove top. Since it's turned much colder, I've been burning Ash and Maple. Burn times have increased about 75% when compared to the Box Elder I was burning earlier this season. I get about 6 hours of usable heat from the stove now…………………I reload once the stove top gets down to about 300*.- Stuff Woodburners Should Never Hear……………or Say
The stove manufacturers recommended minimum "clearances" are way more than is really necessary. Seasoning is over-rated…………..I dry the wood for my next load by the stove while it's burning. Pine "makes" too much creosote to burn. - - - Updated - - - Why do you work so hard cutting, splitting, and stacking wood?? My answer…………"It's easier than shoeing horses and then paying for the natural gas." I also "like' doing it!! You don't have to burn "seasoned" wood in a catalytic wood stove. Fresh split oak is way better than 1 year seasoned box elder…………………..not.- Pray for our country, you guys, esp. hard working people... we are being scammed.....
Psalm 28:12 would seem to be more "accurate" today.- Tire Prices!!!
Just rolled past 45,000 miles on my Cooper Discoverer AT3's. They're probably 40-50% gone now. Should get around 80k out of them………………..I hope!!!!!! Probably 10%+ of those miles are driven on gravel roads in NoDak, MO and WI. Just saying of course!!!- Tire Prices!!!
I truly hope you get more than 30,000 miles from them. - Question?
