  1. I'm about ready to see if they'll trade me for a refurbished like pair or something...
  2. I'm very frustrated with all this... Today on the way to work the truck ran like before when i test drove it. but after my 45 min commute, pulling into the parking space, the truck seemed to have ran rougher and the lope was more significant. The truck was actually rocking back and forth some and the engine was too... Mitchell from dap seems to think they need sent back in to be retested. I'm thinking about driving a few more days like this is it doesn't hurt the truck to see if these problems remain a constant so i have better info to base as facts. I just dunno how much more of this i can take. it's going to mean i have to remove them again, put Mike's injectors back in, wait for them to turn the injectors around and then get them swapped again. at the rate this has been going, it'll probably be a couple weeks. I'm debating on just buying new injectors...
  3. Haha, then I'm definitely calling dap Monday...
  4. Hmm, okay. I think it's just me, but i just feel hyper sensitive to this whole situation. i just hope it won't cause any adverse performance or reliability issues.
  5. Well finally got my replacement nozzle in the mail yesterday. swapped out the nozzle today and then swapped out the injectors. I could have had them done quick, but i had to remove the crossover tubes to replace the o rings. i did not remove the lines but just flexed them out of the way. saved allot of time. Anyways, when i installed the injectors, i seated them in the bore then finger tightened the connector nuts. then i tightened down the hold down. Got it all together, bled it off and fired it. upon idling it had a lope it. so i stopped, called Mike and he suggested i redo them. So i took it for a drive and when i got back it had almost gone away. so i redid the injectors again. loosened everything up and then tightened down the nuts first then did the hold downs. got it fired up again and it still loped. So i called it a night. at this point in time i dunno what to chalk it off to. they never did this before i had them rebuilt. I'm thinking about calling dap Monday and see what they say. I wonder, could they have set pop pressure a little high causing the lope to occur? Iirc i think they said they are set at 400bar. Regardless, the truck runs like a raped ape! immediate throttle response, runs cooler at cruise and gets up and goes!
  6. What's to stop someone from taking a cordless grinder with a cut off wheel and cutting the locking side of the pin off? Then again in my mind i think stealing hitches like that is more of just an opportunity theft and i have doubts people would go through that much trouble to get one. but I've been wrong before!
  7. Haha, man, i told you! Looks like i won't be getting my replacement nozzle until Tuesday. guess i get to wait another week to get them in...
  8. Just called dap. guy seemed to think it was a problem as well. he's going to get back asap and we're looking into just getting a replacement nozzle overnighted. Was just hoping to get these in Saturday.
  9. Logic tells me they should all be vco. I'm assuming there is nothing wrong running one sac nozzle with the others being vco?
  10. Haha, it ain't over till it's over! I still have to conduct Murphys law on my truck when i get them back.
  11. ..I'm fired! How about 4 or something? LOL
  12. Update! So i got the injectors sent off last week. Called them Monday and they had finished them up that morning. Report says they all were a bit weak with one bad nozzle. Couldn't get a definitive answer on why such premature failure except maybe bad fuel. I wonder, if air is entrained in the fuel, could cavitation cause problems? Needless to say, popped all the injectors set them and cleaned for $100 and nozzle was $30. Should see them back this week and hope to have them back in the truck this weekend! Might get to break out the tarp from all this rain though!
  13. Mike, i want to share this with you. See what her doctor would say and I'll get you hooked up with some supplements. https://www.thorne.com/education/health-lifestyle/FAQ-20058408/lowphosphorus-diet-best-for-kidney-disease It appears that she is going to have to diet differently to keep things to a minimum. But that might also mean she may not get as well of a rounded diet. There are a few things i could look into if you like. I can also see what the doctors have to say for dietary support for those on dialysis.
  14. And how is Rosalie doing, hmm?
  15. Here's one example: http://www.tetongravity.com/forums/showthread.php/292403-PSA-Treadwright-Retread-Tires-Dangerous! Although i didn't read into it far enough to know whether he had a true b2b design, but I'm on the assumption he did since it was posted last year. Here's more: https://www.google.com/search?q=treadwright+tire+failure&oq=treadwright+failure&aqs=chrome.2.69i57j0l3.10544j0j4&client=ms-android-verizon&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8#xxri=0
  16. I was going to go with tread wright, initially. But even after their revised process of molding the tire people were still getting catastrophic problems. Some so bad they were causing huge damage to the vehicles. Despite their bead to bead design, tread separation is still a problem for them. I have yet to read about such a thing occurring to a new tire from a manufacturer, unless the operator is using them improperly. With going through discount tire, i have that support from them if i so need it and it'll be no questions asked and it'll be in person. I have read a mix on tread wright's support. Don't get me wrong, this is not a bashing from me to them, but the impression i get is that it just isn't something i want to entertain right now.
  17. Oh, Mike! Shame on me for just now seeing this... It was a roller coaster of emotions reading through this thread. I'm happy to hear she is doing better. I pray she will be back to her old self in short order! I sure do wish we lived closer... And just as said before, way to really keep focused. Your an inspiration.
  18. Well I'm home! The tires were hardly even noticeable! It only had a slight whir noise, but nothing i would complain about. I deflated the rear to about 50psi and the front was already there. I'm anxious to see how they are long term. Now, let's see them stand the test of time!
  19. The day finally came to get new tires. I decided to go with discount tires. Already had an appointment set a week in advance. Costco wasn't competitive enough and didn't come out on top. So got there today and it was packed. Apparantly i was set to get some pathfinder ats. I wanted 5 bfgoodrich k02s. They only had 3 in Stock. Great... So he recommended cooper maxx ats. Okay I'll go with them. They were even cheaper, too. So all is well and i wait almost an hour and then he comes up and says he messed up. The tires i was going to get were already committed to someone else. So instead he wanted to know if i would be interested in some goodyear wrangler duratracs. I was indecisive and also frustrated about this being the 3rd time to switch tires... But he said he would give me the tires at the same price as the coopers. He said they're the best selling tires they have. He said it's also a 600 dollar savings. Well shoot, can't go wrong with that... Another hour later, I'm fitted up with 5 tires and only paid 1300 something for almost 2300 in tires! Yes, darn right! I saved about 900 in tires. I haven't gotten to highway speed yet, but im liking them allot. I've got warranties on the tires so even if i smoke one up at 10k miles I'll have paid for the warranties. All in all, it was worth the trouble and I'm happy with discount tire. The next goal is to get some new rims so they're a matching set. Anyone have recommendations? I'll end up having the spare going through rotation and it's a rusty steel rim. Lol. The spare doesn't fit too back up in the carrier area... but i got her!
  20. Finally, a response from dap. But it wasn't Jacob. Talked to a rep and told me send them in. He said they shouldn't cost more than 100 dollars to bench them and fix them, even if they need new nozzles. So next opportunity i have, I'm going to get them sent over and we shall see what comes of it...
  21. Here's a review from a couple that actually live just north of me...
  22. Yea! Makes me wonder. In fact i wonder if snow sport was bought by DR? hopefully these places didn't buy a generic plow and brand them...
  23. Plowing with the 4 Wheeler was manageable last year, but less than ideal. I could typically plow the drive out in about an hour or so, depending on conditions. But I'm a consumer of DR power equipment and gave grown fond to them. They're offering a plow you can use on a vehicle called the redi plow. I like the concept of it and is priced well. I doubt i would consider it in a commercial application, but i think it would serve me well with what im demanding. It's a lightweight plow and can be quickly disconnected from the vehicle when necessary. It's a floating blade design. Last year, because i live off the county road on private, its not maintained. To be able to lower it down on the way to work, plow my path to the county road, then stow it and do the reverse on the way back home appeals to me. I'm thinking about taking advantage of their 6 month trial offer through winter and put it to the test! Makes allot of sense. Anyone have experience on it or input? I know there seems to be other plows out that look just like it but with DR i have their support and the advantage of a trial offer. Everyone that reviews it seems to really like it.
