SUV talk...go
Well, I was going to recommend a Subaru diesel, but they are not allowed in the US! Bullhockey! Besides a diesel, I would go with a toyota. They hold their value well. Obviously, go to a toyota dealer and drive them all. Find the one...

Injectors
I put a mark on the dip stick yesterday as i read that the o ring on the connector tube is a seal for the oil. But if the tube or o ring is no good for some reason then using Teflon tape to seal the area might be causing whatever fuel to be leaking past the o ring seal. So if my oil level rises any I'll know that fuel is getting into the crank because of this and i guess it'll end up being new tubes? I read this on an thread from TDR from someone so it could be totally wrong, but just something for me to watch for.. BTW, DAP told me that one of my injectors popped higher than the others. I dunno if this is the one that i took to the local shop to have redone ore not. But it begs to wonder what ultimately is going on... supposedly they are good now and ready to be used. I dunno if i wanna touch them now. I'd rather wait until the day comes to replace the 275s. Maybe i should sell them lol.

Wondering if i should really do the tubes and try that... Still bone dry too..

Injectors
Just got to work, all the lines are BONE DRY! Teflon tape worked... So what is it, the tubes then? I will say that i have noticed that the o rings don't seem to have as much of a positive lock as they did before. They snap in easy as compared to other times. I dunno just talking aloud here...

Injectors
Great, last night i hit all the nuts with Teflon tape. Hope i can at least go just today, before i can take them off after getting home from work... ALL of the lines leaked this time after polishing them up. I didn't use a torque wrench that time. It didn't seem to matter anyways... I kind of feel like this has been contributing to my poor fuel mileage too. I called the local junker and they don't sell steel lines. Dunno where i could get a stock set. Maybe the stealership? Boy i bet i would PAY too. Also, it's not leaking from the line area between the nut and line. It's coming out of the nut and head thread area. When i got the rv275s, i replaced the o rings on the tubes too. Even though i had just put new ones on when i got my rebuilt injectors back. 28 ft pound

I'm fed up guys... the lines are STILL leaking. I'm seriously thinking about Teflon tape on the line nuts and see what happens.

Alternative snow plow
Well fellas, the weakness of the plow tended to show it's ugly side last night. Friday through Saturday we ended up getting a healthy 12 inches over night. This was the most challenging snow fall removal yet. I spent 4 hours out in the truck getting everything cleared. I even ended up asking the neighbor for help. Although he wasn't able to do a whole lot either. His tractor was being challenged just as me i think. I've got so much snow piled up everywhere in running out of room! The neighbor said he thinks he'll be able to keep a 6 pack cold through July! I had to make multiple passes to clear everything. It did do well pushing but like i said it was beginning to show it's limitations. The drawback is it can't scrape down low since it is rubber and not metal. It also doesn't have enough weight to it to keep it from floating when you hit some more dense snow. Therein lies a problem. Upon pushing all this snow i have slowly built up layerings of snow which have turned to ice. Anywhere i haven't done this at is still loose snow. So like my driveway, i have to stay in the center or I'll go into ruts on one side or the other. The majority of my time was battling this area trying to move snow and negotiating through the ruts. So with a combination of having the blade loaded with snow and the ruts and ice, 4 low wasn't enough. So i chained up the front tires. It improved but then the rear got squirrely. That's when i cued the neighbor for help. He helped for about an hour and eventually he ended up being the one pushing the snow to me so i could push it into a pile at the base of my driveway. I have been happy with the purchase. It does good in most applications. But if you get dumped on like this or get heavy, wet snow, you guys are, right, it is not as effective. I don't regret buying it, but I'm also thinking about returning it before my 6 months are up. I really need a plow that can discharge it's load like Mike has said because despite having the ability to turn the blade one way or another, i can't cut edges and displace it as i do it. Anytime i try to ensure the path stays wide the plow won't move it, but instead sucks me into the snow. Going head on with it is a better way of managing. So like i said, I'm going to try and return it and now i found a different plow but still light duty enough to not adversely affect the truck. I'm thinking about the Meyer home plow. It is a step up from this and is a real plow but still mounts to a receiver hitch. Not too much more expensive and i can stow it away easy. I think it will fit my application better. What say you guys? Eventually, i want a bobcat to do all this sort of stuff but I'm still a little ways from that!

Do you think it would actually reveal the contact area since it's not necessarily a moving area?

Injectors
Man, i went over it all over again and took the lines and tubes out and emery clothed the ends. Loosened up the injector hold downs as well and then tightened up the tubes. Tightened up the hold down and then loosened the lines to bleed them. I took the emery cloth and covered an end of the injector line and then turned the tube on that to Polish the inside of the tube mating area. Worked really good. I got really anal on it this time, so I'm crossing my fingers that it'll stop leaking!!! Going to spray everything down with zep degreaser tomorrow and wait and see... I wonder, can a person use some sort of marking compound to see how the mating contacts are? Or is that too high a risk of contaminating the fuel system? Maybe like a permanent marker, that would work, right?

Morning Pic For Today...........Post A Pic around your place.....
Hey that looks like you may live near me! We're in the midst of getting another 7 inches right now. It'd be nice to own a tractor right about now, lol.

Maybe I'll check and see then. But usually i never seen any fuel come out after doing this. Always dry... i might have to buy new crossover tubes and steel lines? I tightened up the crossover tubes then did the injectors. I actually didn't even Crack the lines and cranked until it fired and that still didn't even keep them from leaking. Next thing im gonna have to try is removing the lines and tubes then Polish them up if that don't work its new tubes and lines.

I wonder, temporarily could i Teflon tape the nuts until i figure out a solution? It's coming out between the head and the nut on the threads. I even torqued the line nuts to 28 ft pound with a crow foot.

Injectors
Alright someone remind me, because for the life of me, i cannot get my injector lines to seal to the crossover tubes! I've tried everything i can think of to get them to seal and they are still weeping fuel! I'm going to pull my hair out...

Battery minder, tender
Well, over the weekend, I disconnected the batteries and charged them individually. Let them sit, and the next day checked their charge state. Each battery was very close to 12.6 volts. +- .05mv variance. So it appears the batteries are in working order. So I cleaned everything up, and reconnected them to the truck. Cranked the truck over to run it for a few moments and just to watch the batteries being charged by the alternator. After, I let the truck sit once the alternator recharged the batteries from grid heater cycling. Left for 30 min to come back to the battery dropped down to 90% charge! So I recharged the batteries while hooked up. Took a few minutes to do so, and then left again. Came back and was down to 85%! OK, WTF. Remember my parasitic draw test showed less than 50ma draw. So, I thought, hmm, lets try a trickle charge on this instead. My schumacker is a smart charger so it only gives me the option of small battery, regular, or agm. I selected small battery and used it as a way to trickle charge them. Came back a little later and 100% charge. Disconnected the charger and let sit. I came out a few hours later and it did not go down at all! I will see tomorrow before work how they fare after sitting for a more extended period of time after charging in this manner. Hoping that all they needed was a trickle charge to get them back on track. Begs to wonder as to why this is so? We had some subzero weather as we all know because we all pretty much had that experience this year. Would a battery being subjected to that cold cause adverse damage? Such as electrolyte freezing and then using the truck while cold? I'm just spit balling here...

Eh, don't worry... she'll get to recluse her self soon enough. At least she made it known to others what her true colors are. She's probably living in the boise area, too. Liberal tards are everywhere, but each state has its own capital of tardville. Around any other neck of idaho, it would be her neck!

I wonder if trump will change the situation with the epa to help it be more conducive for vw to return with their diesels or diesels in general as i even hear the eco diesel dodge has is been held up. Not trying to politically charge this thread or anything...

Injectors
Got the injectors swapped out with rv275s. New injector o rings made the injectors crazy hard to get in but they're in! Got or fired over eventually and she smoked a ton at idle! Let it continue running while i cleaned up. Looked like it went away so i took it for a test drive. Couldn't go any faster than 15 but it performed better and was much more responsive. After i got back to the house i shut the truck off and then restarted it. Got that immediate turn over back again! Needless to say, DAP will be getting a call and getting an earful for the sub par workmanship!!!
