For crying out loud!
Our house is a triple wide manufactured built in the factory in '06. Very energy efficient. Burned probably 3 cord of wood? If you have an attic though, I'd watch this video first:

Fuel pressure problem, again
I have a problem with dwelling on it if I spend money on something that I didn't need to spend on because it wasn't broke in the first place! ? I'm just cussing out air dog. I guess I should have gotten a fass, system...

For crying out loud!
Maybe for your locale, but around here the weather should be much more mild and sunny. I remember as a kid that it was warmer, seems like it's been getting colder later than usual. The season is definitely off this year. It's like spring came in backwards. I welcome the cooler weather somewhat. The rain has been helping my trees produce the sap they need to repel the pine beetle. But I also want my bees to make me some honey too! If at least not have to feed them to keep them alive until winter...

Washington State Gun owners stage the largest felony civil disobedience rally in American history
Starting July 1st idaho will be among the few states in this nation that will have constitutional carry. I moved away from Washington 7 years ago for a reason. There's a slew of other ridiculous things Washington does that repels me away from the state. It's another California in the making.

Fuel pressure problem, again
I have the fuel supply line hooked up directly to the vp44, I got rid of the oem filter canister. I'm going to call Eric Monday and get it done. I'm tired of this. I'm really hoping that I don't have to replace the crossover o rings. The guys at the local diesel shop were nice and helpful, but they didn't have the parts on hand.

Fuel pressure problem, again
Dunno if this changes anything, but this is what's going on still.

When reading it on mobile version, it's unreadable. It's a few words per line so it's really long. Formatting messed up?

Fuel pressure problem, again
I talked to him and he wanted me to do the bucket test to see if it was the suction line. Even though Eric may be cheaper than the local shop, I'm trying to fix this asap. Maybe I can pick his brain about the parts. If I pressurize the tank how is it going to hold long enough to check things?

Fuel pressure problem, again
Anyone know size fittings I need? Need sizes for supply and return lines. How do I pressurize with air?

Fuel pressure problem, again
Well I don't think it solved my problem. Going to do a full line conversion and see what that does for me. Killed my batteries last night trying to get the truck started. Thankfully had a coworker for a jump. The pump still sounds the same even after swapping out the line. Just bought two new batteries today from Napa. A cell was dead in each battery and electrolyte fluid was brown. The batteries would discharge and charge very quickly. Cranking the truck 3, 4 times would bring it down to 50% charge. The guy load tested the batteries at the store and told me they checked out though. I gravity tested them at home last night after charging and that's how I knew what condition they were in. In wondering if my fuel problem is coming from my injection pump? I had to Crack the injection lines just to get the truck to crank this morning.

Fuel pressure problem, again
Wow... when the guy at the shop offered to press the fittings I should have said yes! Didn't think I could get the fittings on if he did though. Well a glutton for punishment I am. Pushing the line on was a pain. I didn't even get it fully seated. It went over both barbs, is it going to be an issue? Bump cycled the truck to prime the system. Changed in tone and sounds better. Cranked right over. Going to let it sit for a couple days and see if my problem continues. Due to the fact I have a modified fuel basket, it uses oem connection on the return line. How am I going to be able to convert this over to jic fittings? Will I just have to order the filler neck adaptor?

Fuel pressure problem, again
The problem is isolated to the suction line of the fuel system. I greased the fittings on the suction side and there was a difference in fuel pressure. I guess I'm just gonna have to crawl under the truck and pull the fitting to the bulkhead and see if it's the right size.

Fuel pressure problem, again
...OK? I'm confused.

Fuel pressure problem, again
Because I run the 165, I have the modified fuel basket kit installed.

Fuel pressure problem, again
The barbed end will fit the fuel line, but the threaded portion is 3/8. The bulkhead is the fitting that connects to the fuel basket on the tank.

Fuel pressure problem, again
I picked up some half inch fuel line made by parker from a local diesel shop today. Bought two 3/8 npt jic fittings as well to replace the suction and bulkhead fitting. This is just to fix the suction side of my problem to see if it works. Does anyone know if the fitting will work on my bulkhead? Can't find out what size it is...

A taste of a real problem...
Pine beetle infestation has taken away many of my trees. Spent the day cutting these trees down that are already dead from being attacked. Need to remove them asap so I don't go up in flames if they catch fire. I probably cut 80 down today. Need to get someone to come out with a tractor or something and grapple them to a pile. I was going to make lemonade with this by making log furniture, but limbing them is the worst part, imo.

Fuel pressure problem, again
What do you mean specifically, the factory filter can? The oem filter canister in the engine bay? If so, no, I eliminated it and hooked the fuel line up straight to the vp44.

Fuel pressure problem, again
Doesn't matter when or where, it always makes this noise. But even though I lose prime, I can still start the truck if it hasn't been An extended period of time. I think it's because not all the fuel has been sucked back out before losing complete prime. If that makes sense... If I bump the starter and if after the cycle it doesn't prime, when it shuts off, the air sounds like it bleeds off.

Fuel pressure problem, again
Well, I had perfect timing to catch my lift pump in action. Here is a short and well timed video of what I'm experiencing. I believe this is the source of my problem. In the initial portion of the video you can hear a whirring noise then the sound changes and the pump gets prime. This happens all the time, but if it sits too long then that's when I have trouble starting it. 0521161457.mp4 Let me know if anyone wants a full video with it running during a bump cycle.

Bleh... So where do I get the push lok jic fittings. Do auto stores carry something like that?

Fuel pressure problem, again
These are type compression fittings with the circlips.. I wonder if they have an o ring that need replaced..

Fuel pressure problem, again
Some May recall my previous problem with my Fuel pressure. Initially the thought was air in the lines. But now I think it's something to do with the air dog pump block area itself. It still could be a house in this area,i dunno. What I do know, is that the problem is stemming from this area. Last night after work, I killed the batteries trying to get the truck to crank over. Luckily I had a guy to jump me. On the first startup of the day, it cranks over no problem. Sits afterwards, then it becomes a problem. This has happened a few nights in a row now. But not bad enough like Last night. I'll bump the starter to get the pump to cycle, and I can distinctly hear a whirring noise like it's not primed. But maybe after a few bumps it'll prime and the whir noise goes away, the pump changes in sound and Fuel pressure goes back up. Mind you I get about 17psi, when it's not sounding primed. But when it gets primed, 20 to 22psi. I'm at a loss here, and tried calling air dog But they didn't answer. Probably called too late... Any idea what it is? Could the fittings to the pump block be bad? If it happens again tonight, I'll record video of it to try and get it.
