  1. Okay, so I didn't have a chance last night, but after posting up, I went online to search this. They said check the trailer wiring circuit. So I started pulling fuses. I pulled a fuse to the trailer circuit and the lights went off. Put it back in, lights came back on. They are only on very dimly. I pulled the fuse for the remaining time. I suspect it must be a short somewhere. Maybe this was the reason to my other problem with my batteries dying on me before.. The circuit that is having this problem is one I paid a shop to fix years ago as whoever did it originally did a bad job on it.
  2. Got Out of the truck and went in the house. Had to come back Out to grab some firewood. Noticed the brake lights were on. The front marker lights are as well. Checked the selector switch and changed nothing. Can't turn them off! Wtf, what's going on....
  3. Man look at the hornets nest I kicked! I'm sure I'll catch heat for saying this, but if someone didn't want to cooperate and go the gambit, then it's a form of punishment or imprisonment for the time they're supposed to serve. I dunno how other countries do it that require their citizens to serve a set time, but it seems like they still get the job done... It's all thinking out loud and whatnot, guess it don't matter anyways, I'm not going to be president lol.
  4. I honestly believe that When a person finishes high school, it's 4years mandatory service. It doesn't have to be all combat. It would be like going to college but paying Your tuition in service for the country. You get boot camp, basic training, then you go into a special skill set that Your test tells you that you would most likely be proficient in. Not only do you serve in defense of the country, but after you gained a skill set that you can use in the private sector. So many times during and after high school I was asked what I wanted to do. I thought to myself what do I want. I don't know! It want until I was in my mid twenties that I realized what I wanted. Keep the confused, lazy or doubtful kids fresh out of high school from going into debt becoming constructive to the country and give them time they need to make a decision on what to pursue. ...just a thought.
  5. I would like to add, that This should only continue to motivate us and Keep us in sober mind. I've seen some videos of people give isis warnings what it Will be like if they try something in America. These people have good intentions, but lack common sense it seems. This doesn't even apply to terrorists strictly: When a gunman comes into a place to make his move, no one in the area Will know he's about to do something sinister. It's not until he exposes himself to others with his actions that he's a bad guy. Unless you Keep your head on a swivel 100% of the time and know how to read a persons body language, your not going to pick up on anything until it's too late to prevent it. At This point it's mitigation work. People think they're gong to identify themselves as isis. Not true. When our soldiers are over there fighting they don't know who the bad guy is until it's too late. It Will happen here like that as well. They Will blend in with us, they have the advantage over us because they have the time and control to identify who their threats Will be before they attack. Your goal is to be like every other unsuspecting person out there that doesn't raise their red flag to you. You need to gain the upper hand on then by ensuring you can overcome their psychological/guerrilla warfare and stop them if it ever comes to it. You be the one to have the surprise on them, not the other way around. Don't advertise yourself to them. They Will look for clues on who to go after first. It's too bad our government doesn't require everyone to put time in the service. I think everyone should go through boot camp and basic training. Everyone should have weapons Proficiencies. This would help them deal with stressful situations too. But since we are not like the Swiss or Israelis, we just need to do it ourselves. Get basic training at your local range and learn how to handle yourself. Join a martial arts place. Learn the hand to hand self defense you need. It Will keep you in shape too. Your not rambo, you won't overcome them like that. You need to think like, a spy... Haha.
  6. http://speisa.com/modules/articles/index.php/item.1304/isis-releases-kill-list-of-us-cities.html I live near a few places.. Keep your powder dry.
  7. What if you don't believe in evolution?
  8. Hmm, yea I spent 300 on the harbor freight inspection camera and it works good but haven't been able to try it on the truck cylinder yet. It has it's place but I dunno how many things I can really use it on to justify how much I spent on it...
  9. A locked steering wheel is easy to circumvent too. Just yank on it until it breaks loose. In my troubled youth days, I used to hang out with kids who would steal the Durangos. It's easy to do with the illuminated key ring around the key cylinder. When I bought my dodge I saw that and just cringed...
  10. I don't have the ability to bring certain firearms into certain places. Obviously I'm not going to shoulder a rifle in to the store with Me, but I can wear a pistol on the hip for instance. Needing the rifle in the truck, you never know what you Will encounter while on the road and May need that extra range or power that it offers. I have a co-worker who takes his at with him everywhere he goes when he's driving his own rig, but it's not secured so if Anyone were to break into his vehicle, they'd make out good.
  11. Mike, do you recall anything within the past couple years about idaho doing away with conceal permits? I thought it was on the table but haven't heard anything since then... Btw, I know this is slightly off topic, but I've been wanting to carry my rifle with Me and store it in the truck. Anyone have ideas about securing it so it won't get stolen if the truck is broken into?
  12. Me, thank you for posting that video on Carson. I've been deliberately staying away from news and the Ruckus. I like Ron Paul but he's not in the race this Time, so I thought his soon would bee just as good. Not to mention he's independent. I'm weary of the hegalian dialectic going on in the inner circle of our structure called government. If rand Paul isn't my option during election, Carson has my favour all the way. I definitely respect him more from that video.

Just got power again. Looks like they're on the ball this Time. Doesn't mean it won't go out again though as the storm still hasn't passed completely. Now I get to find out whether or not I'm cutting My way out lol. Still have fuel left over from the last storm so I'm good there. It's been in the 40s here too and we've had rain the past couple days which have caused other problems as well.

Well, it's gone and done it again... http://www.khq.com/story/30699298/dept-of-emergency-management-encourages-preparedness-for-coming-wind-storm I just lost power. Time to play damage control again...
  15. Just got back from napa. Guy said everything checked out. Alternator was good and batteries were good. Batteries are 5 years old. Said I Could have a short circuit somewhere discharging the Batteries... I'm lost...
  16. This morning before work, it had been a few days since driving the truck. I go to start it, and it's dead! Had to quick charge it and get going on the road with about 70 percent charge. Get home and go to top the batteries off and check voltages. The terminals are getting corrosion. I just recently cleaned the terminals and re sprayed them. This happened in the duration of time from today. I can see how having the alternator do the Charging could cause am excess of venting from the battery? I checked every cells specific gravity and one Had a different value than the other battery but not by much. I can't remember by how much since I did it when I cleaned the terminals. My curiosity is whether or not I really do have a problem. Um hoping my batteries still have life left in them. My alternator is a replacement from oreillys and recently been having a hunting issue come back again. I'm going to take the truck to them tomorrow and hook up their diagnostics tool to see if it tells me Anything. Could the temp sensor for the batteries be bad? Not sure what to make of this...
  17. I dunno if it's Really appropriate, so I'll do it here. I'm Really getting less interested in keeping my Quadra fire. I read a post on a forum to buy a bundle of wood from the store that's been kiln dried to get a baseline, so I'll do that first to rule out the idea of me having wet wood. If after I'm still not impressed, I'm eyeing other stoves. So far I have interests in three different stoves: Vogelzang ponderosa Blaze king king model Or Englander 28 3500 furnace. Anyone have experience on these or thoughts? I Need some serious heater output without breaking the wallet. Going to try and get 1200 for the Quadra. Retails 2k New and this one can't be more than a couple years old.
  18. Alright, so I froze my rear off a while last night, taking a splitting maul to the ground. Didn't have a pick axe. Also built a fire over the ground to thaw it out. Finally got through the frozen ground and dug enough out to cement the line going in to the tank. Didn't have a large amount of roots really. But obviously enough to cause problems. It appearsc that the installers for the tank had caulked the joint, but it was not enough since the roots penetrated. Got it backfilled. Just need to make a riser for the tank now. Looking at real ones they're expensive. Thinking about using a poly barrel sealing it then weighing it down and pouring cement around it to grade. Once it stiffens up, pull the barrel and shape it for the lid to go back on. Need to find the second cover and find the leech field location. Really sucks as I wanted to put a road in right where the septic is.
  19. Lately, some May find I'm just a down and outer. I swear life isn't this cruel but Lately the past 2 weeks have just been that relentless! I got another story for you all and maybe I can receive a pointer as well too. Last night, was thanksgiving, we're hosting it here at our New place. Wife has been working away at prepping the dinner since the start of the week. Making pies and bread etc. I'll add this as well: Monday night she made an Apple, pumpkin and two buttermilk pies. Next morning we come out too the kitchen and the lab had eaten both buttermilk pies! Anyways, we had gotten everything set up thanksgiving day. Wife goes in to shower and the toilet starts bubbling. What? So I thought it was plugged. I go to flush it and it starts over flowing. Then I plunge it, and it goes down. But then I hear gurgling and it's coming up through the tub! then it starts coming back up through the shower! Oh no! I've got a backup! What's wrong? Is the septic system full and falling? Why, I just had it pumped before moving in! So I look at the cleanout outside. Pop the cap and starts overflowing on me! Great! So I had a neighbor who gave me a snake. One of those small piddly ones that are meant for a bathroom sink. Tried with no luck. So, the only thing I could do. Dig and get the lid off the tank. Me and my dad out digging frozen ground on thanksgiving. We finally get the cover off and the tank was not full! Yay! Which implies the leach field was still working. So I look at the inlet on the inside, tree roots! Got a plumber out to come snake the line. It was one he'll of a plug! But relieved to have the septic system back in order on thanksgiving! Its no fun having a house full of people who cant use the bathroom or sink to wash dishes or hands. The plumber told me I need to Dig out the inlet side and seal the hole for the pipe with hydraulic cement to keep roots from growing in and causing the plugs. ..sooner rather than later! But I guess I have something to be thankful for. Plumbers who make An emergency call on a holiday to save our butts from an almost botched thanksgiving night! But not without a price, at the tune of 142 dollars later to snake 25 feet of line! That's how much I love my wife and wanted her to be happy and less stressed on our first thanksgiving in our house.

I only pay .08 a kw here. Our electric Bill had Been averaging 100 a month. Just recently did led lights throughout the house and fixed all the calcium buildup In the water heater. Hoping to pay less next month! All while being able to enjoy creature comforts.
  21. Here in town a company called lignetics makes Pellet fuel, people can sometimes score a ton for 100 bucks. They usually sell retail for 150. I don't bother with gathering wood. I've done it and it sucks. So I order a log trucker to deliver it too me. 10cord at a time. Should last me 2.5 years. Paid 1100 for the load. Even if it costs me more per year, I have the convenience of not wasting my time scrounging it and still get my exercise and still get my beloved wood heat that penetrates to my bones like no other heat. I'm happy to have wood heat, period! ?

Wow, was looking at a calculator for a setup. I'd need 40 panels to continue my daily lifestyle, lol!
  23. Silly me, I didn't Even realize this thread had a second page! Also, I just recently remembered to put something on the stove to keep humidity in the house. Been walking around getting shocked! That's when I remembered I ought to start using the stove to cook more!
  24. Pellet stove is almost just as bad. Instead of a shed, now you just have pallets of bags to stack. Not near The amount of heat for The work and still have to clean it. I know, I used to use one.
