  1. Would this encourage you? http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/chevy/522333-dana-70-thread.html
  2. Yea, I was hoping maybe some of those guys could chime in on the performance or lack of it about the manifolds. I know there is emissions stuff for them, but dunno if even after being blocked off if they do okay or if the manifold is still poorly designed for what I have in mind... Texas, I've reviewed that thread a few times. I have not read all the pages because its 80 pages long, but it seems like he reuses the 24v manifold and does not even have to alter the he351 mounting? In his pictures, you don't see anything special done to it, just bolted straight up and no adapter or anything!
  3. Mike, how about the outerwear I had made?
  4. I think I'm going to have to be right up this alley real soon, too. Got an exhaust brake on the he351ve turbo and not to mention what kind of boots it could make...
  5. ...what 'am I missing, here?
  6. So in order to complete my conversion kit for my he351ve swap, I'm having trouble deciding which exhaust manifold to use. I'm trying to figure out whether or not I will see anything negative with running the 6.7 manifold than the 5.9l. Flow restrictions, etc. Sound is not a huge deal since its all going to change anyways. I don't want to keep mulcher hanging by a string, lol.
  7. Mike, saw that you called tonight. Was at work, like usual, lol. Must have seen I left you a message. Got it figured out. I guess I got on the skinny pedal too much and hit some good boost. Blew the intercooler boot after the turbo. Not the typical sound I was expecting to hear so I was somewhat distraught by it. Had a hissing rapid decompression type noise, lol. Got it fixed though. 11mm socket! ..time to buy the newer better boots to prepare for my turbo swap...
  8. Ed, you may remember I have the VE. How long do you think I will have to wait for your controller?
  9. 40 acres?! Man, you could have thousands of hives on that much land! Its my first year and I have 2 so far. Just made a split from one a couple weeks ago into a nuc. I hope to get into queen rearing, etc. Start selling equipment if I can perfect my process more. Pollination contracts would be nice... Like I said, I'm usually so busy, I only usually get enough time to browse this forum and thats it, lol. Maybe I will get a bee thread going on here.
  10. Did any pieces of lead about the size of 9mm in diameter reciprocate in their direction, I wonder? Also, depending on where you are at, noise ordinance is 10pm around here. We do not live in town, out in the county, I dunno if that still applies. We also have a few people closer to us though and don't appreciate gunfire in the night either, lol. If I got to bust one off because of a critter, its going to happen. But this is obviously for other circumstances and not just acting like donkey. Personally, I would have never let it be known that I was aware of his shenanigans. Make the anonymous call to the local LEO and notify them. Neighbor wont know exactly who it is... Obviously this must be close enough to you that it wakes you up. Closest neighbor to me is about 300 ft or so. Shes a busy body... I have learned from a young age to take up the art of white noise. I sleep through earthquakes and the train that passes by many times a night behind our house.
  11. Did...you...say....A-PI-AR-Y?
  12. You could do the input shaft and flexplate yourself if you have the time.

  14. Huh, yea, running 75 DAP sticks, Comp on 5x5. Hit 35psi momentary and 30 constant. Have to watch EGT's...
  15. I wonder if people are not so hot about the epoxy idea, they drill into the passage larger than the width of the passage. Use a tap and thread it and put a bolt in place with sealant to block the passage?
  16. About a 5 hour drive! Still can't get over the fact you came all the way up here! What did you get in MPG's? The ride home was probably a little better considering the potential energy in going down the grades instead of coming up. I guess I can really attest to how much these trucks can pull! When I say it will pull a house, it will pull a house, lol! You let me know when you want some bees! I'll be more than happy to get you set up! Hoping that I can find some quiet time sometime this year and may get serious about seeing my grandma in Reno. Your place would be on the way. OH! BTW, you were right, the tap cam un-done. I checked it and got it connected up. Now if I make a hard accel from stop or don't have boost built up or in OD, I can smoke a good cloud again! Now I have to work on getting my mpg numbers up.
  17. Ahh, a little soot never hurt anyone. ...Puts hair on the chest!
  18. It was a rough night for me last night! Need to try and recoup on my sleep. I'll never catch up though! Well, Mike, I hope we did not scare you and your mom away! Hope you guys enjoyed your time as best as you could, up here! Make your trip home safe! Wish you could have hung around more! Loved picking your brain with the truck stuff.
  19. Have not seen or heard a peep from the man, wonder why? The guy has wifi at the motel! Maybe he needed a break? I would have figured he would have announced he was coming up here to see me and my side of the fence... Were meeting tomorrow, maybe I'll get some pics of this elusive creature.
  20. Yes, I understand that. But as far as how one injector is setup from another due to different head design, etc.
  21. MMmmm, potato chips! I suppose comparing my injectors on my 24v to your 12v is probably like apple to oranges...
  22. Well, I can't say how different they would be compared to the 24v, but I have the 75 sticks from DAP. Turn the comp off and the only time they smoke is at first acceleration. With my setup I find it hard to make them smoke, its more of a haze. If I turn the comp on, forget it!
  23. Ahhhhh, I see! Well, good ol' patients just reared its head... Interested to see how the 40's will do for you.
  24. ...don't you know! Its all about collecting valuable data!
