  1. I haven't messed with the one of those clutch setups before but, I have bleed brakes that you couldn't get the bleeder screws loose before by pushing down the pedal and loosening the line instead of the bleeder. If you haven't got it bleed yet, that's what I would try.

Whatever you do I would not buy a Quadzilla Adreniline I bought mine in february and I have already had four warranty claims and its still not right, I'm in the process of trying to get them to buy this piece back so I can get an Edge comp. I thought it would be a way to save money since it has a monitor so I wouldn't have to buy gauges but I have had so much trouble with mine I don't even trust the readings.
  3. I run 80w 90 conventional front and 75-140 valvoline pure synthetic rear, its expensive but so is going through a rear end

  5. I would recommend a fel pro gasket. The different thickness gasket is for when you have to deck the block if its warped at all this keeps the piston to valve clearance the same. Which also means the compression stays the same.

  7. I am gonna be getting rid of my quadzilla really soon as I am wanting to go to the edge comp box. I just can't decide whether I wanna get the hot unlock or not, please fell free to give your , Thanks
  8. Nope all you have to do is disconnect the battery cables and unplug the old pcm and plug in the new one hook that cables back up and your good to go. That is of course if its diagnosed right, I paid the local dealer 210 dollars for a diagnosis and they didn't get it right. I put my new pcm in and there wasn't any change at all. I took it back to them and told them that nothing has changed. Now they have had my truck for what will be a week tomorrow afternoon. They are trying to tell me that my transmission was replaced with an older one and there is no connector on the side of the transmission like there is supposed to be. However I have had it out and rebuilt the tranny so I know that everything from front to back of the tranny is a 47re which is what is supposed to be in the truck, so im going down there tomorrow after work to point out to him that he is wrong and tell him to try again.
  9. it finally quit working for good and I checked all of the wiring this past weekend and they checked out alright so i dropped it off at the dealership to have them diagnois it. :banghead: They told me it lost the PCM and told me it would be 1000 bucks to have it fixed. Luckily I found an awesome website that sells them programmed for cheap. The website is autocomputerexchange.net. I had great service and I am waiting for my pcm to show up in the mail.
  10. Here is a few things i have found with my truck. First thing was the positive wire off of the alternator (the big one) was rubbing on the alternator mounting bracket and wore the wire insulation a little thin, so I put some wire loom stuff around it and zip tied it to where it didn't rub anymore, my problem went away for a couple weeks then came back. Finally I went through and double checked my negative battery cable ends and they were a little loose i guess thats what i get for buying cheap ones because I have tightened them down more than a few times. After that my problem has never came back, my torque converter would lock and unlock in 3rd and 4th gear both.
  11. I have the Quadzilla on my truck since february and I have already made three phone calls to quadzilla with problems. I have everything fixed now and I'm gonna sell it and buy and edge comp with hot unlock. I have friends of mine that have run the comp box for years with no issues and i'm tired of fighting quadzilla.
  12. I had the idle issue in my truck for a couple of weeks off and on it finally threw a crank sensor code. I replaced it and problem has deceased since. When it my truck was idling at a stop light it would cut out for a split second and the tach would quit registering. Something maybe you could look at before you change out the expensive pcm.
  13. I had mine in the front servo port that's where my quadzilla told me to put it and I never saw a reading above 140. I didn't think that was right so I drilled a hole in the pan and welded part of a pipe fitting in there now I have seen the temperatures hit 190 sitting in traffic with no air flow going through the radiator I was glad I moved mine because now I have all of the sending unit in fluid instead of just the tip.
  14. Well before I got to really look at the truck it started working just fine again. Gotta love intermittent problems.
  15. My passenger side mirror fit just fine. However my drivers side mirror fit like the problem you are having I just tightened the one down and it pulled the mirror in so I could put the other two nuts on. --- Update to the previous post... No I haven't I guess I should I just figured it was because they were aftermarket mirrors, not factory ones. I wish the ones off of the 4th gens would fit.
  16. I have a set of those tow mirrors on my truck since February and I would NOT recommend buying a set the glass wiggles around even at idle from the engine. The glass also pops in and out of where it is supposed to be mounted. I won't be buying a Kool-vue product again.
  17. First time it read no bus I pulled out the cluster to make sure it was getting power like it was supposed to according to all data. Voltage was good so I put it back in and it worked fine for two weeks now its is doing it again so I pulled the self diagnostic cluster codes and got all of them that all data list for the cluster. 900,920,921,940,950,999. I'm thinking this means I need a cluster which is very unfortunate I just put a new tranny in 1500 miles ago. Anybody's knowledge is greatly appreciated.

  20. Sometimes when I let off the accelerator in my truck kinda quick I hear a chatter noise kinda like at the truck pull when they end there run. I had somebody else in the truck and they heard it and told me that my turbo was spinning backwards and that it is really hard on turbos. They told me my waste gate wasn't opening quickly enough. The higher the level of the programmer is the more frequent it happens. Do I need to fix the factory one or buy a new one like the one from Banks.

  22. I put a gov pressure and a transducer in it. Since It didn't work I adjusted the front band and it screwed in really far but still torqued down like it was supposed to. Test drove and still didn't fix it so i took it to the local dodge dealer:banghead: and they told me the front band was broke until I told them I just adjusted it so they changed there mind and told me there was no material left on the band and quoted for a new tranny. I brought the truck home and pulled the tranny now I'm waiting on heavy duty front band, triple disc converter, upgraded clutches, and a shift kit. Upon pulling it out I found a boost valve spring retainer clip broke it is located on the back of the valvebody. Can't wait to get it finished.
  23. Well I tried the tv cable but there is no slack, I found a place that sold me the gov pressure solenoid and transducer for less than a hundred bucks so I gave those a try and no luck so I'm gonna pull the valve body today to see what we find.
  24. I borrowed a Snap-On scanner from work to check codes and I replaced the battery's and the cable ends a month ago.

I'm new to the forum and new to dodge automatics, my truck used to surge at light throttle between 1st and second occasionally now it won't shift from first to second under regular acceleration unless you let up on the pedal. If you baby it, it shifts just fine, I just changed the fluid and filter two weeks ago and the output speed sensor last night. I tried to pull codes but there aren't any at all not even pending codes. The APPS was bad when i bought the truck back in January and I replaced it with a genuine Mopar. I am not sure where to go from here any help is greatly appreciated.
