I wish my 01 only needed a recharge. It blew cold off and on when I first got the truck. But because the vents only blow out defrost and floor I figured I'd put it off until I dug into the dash which is also busted up so yet another item I'd need to buy before dealing with the vents. Anyway the compressor seized before I got to work on it. Smoked the belt instantly. It's currently bypassed with a shorter belt

It didn't shutoff until I pulled the battery cables. And it was smoking pretty bad.

My starter did that once. I looked into the replacement contacts and told my self I'd order them the next time it did it...... Well the next time the starter just stayed on. So I ended up having to get a whole new starter.

I like the steering feedback with the borgeson shaft. I agree it feels a lot tighter

I converted my smoker to propane and also use pellets. The propane is so much easier to keep the temp dialed in.

I also have had a good time smoking meats and making mods to my smoker. It's another never ending process lol one of the first things I did was add thermometers one in the top center and one on each lower corner of the lid so that I can better watch the different temperature "zones" and position the meat accordingly

Damn those are the worst types of problems to have. Hopefully someone can chime in with some tips

Yeah having that type of bed sure does limit what you can use the truck for

eventually ill have to dive into repairing my a/c system. the compressor seized. i only get air/heat out of the defrost vents and floor vents regardless of switch position.

probably going to buying the scan gauge within the month just seems like a real useful tool.just got back from astoria oregon and the little time i have spent on this forum and looking over mikes posts. the drive was so much better while towing my travel trailer gvwr 9575LBs.

yes hopefully i can go the rest of the summer without anymore cooling system issues.yeah i wouldnt want to be out working on the truck in that heat either

Just spent most of last night doing the entire cooling system. New cap. New thermostat . New upper/ lower hoses and new heater core hoses also pulled the radiator and cleaned it and the fan shroud I also added the vent mod. Now hopefully I won't have anymore coolant issues while towing.And afterCould not see through the radiator before but now you can.
