Global Warming Fraud
sorry for the rant...everyone is entitled to their opinion and anger. i am not a AL GORE worshiper, but i do not see how you can condemn a man for his belief or for trying to positively change the world he lives in. it would be like getting mad at Jehovahs knocking on you door, trying to "save you". in the end....they are trying to do what they see is right... i believe the people in the wrong were the ones how hid/manipulated the information. i think people just get angry and try to pin it on any face...just to illustrate a point...i was at a resturant for dinner, and the table behind me was debating health care...and one person said "my grandma's premium's went up because of Obama's health care reform"...and the whole time i'm thinking....that is crock because nothing has been passed or signed. not trying to change subject. but her premiums went up because: she's old, her insurance company is greedy. but they pin their anger at any face.i will see if that book is at my library. from the excepts on that page, it would seem that Climate Confusion: How Global Warming Hysteria Leads to Bad Science, Pandering Politicians and Misguided Policies that Hurt the Poor is as one sided as Bill Maher's Religulous. if these men's opinions are correct than everything is jesus has been one big hoax.

good work....really easy to use...thanksbut what is "Tire Thickness percentage (Required)" and how does that play a role?

Grid heater information
does this info apply to 24v. i noticed the other day that when cold if i start my truck and let it idle normally, it cycles the grids in 2-5sec intervals(on then off, real quick). but if i hold the pedal for a higher idle the grids stay on for 15-30secs. if i let the rpms fall it goes back to 2-5sec.

Global Warming Fraud
goodness gracious....i'm against government stepping on my rights, but corporations are not people and should not have the same rights as i do! we as individuals have a right to know what companies are doing to our earth. do you think our planet can support us with no trees? i have always thought that "global warming" was a hype....but who did it hurt? i read rants about how they should prosecute Al Gore like they did Bernie Madoff.....but did al gore steal anyones savings? did he have the intent to hurt someone, or was he trying to give his opinion? people get bent out of shape over the little things, but no one is outraged we still have our sons, and friends dieing to satisfy our greed? people pad data all the time(i'm not saying it's right) just look at wall street. how can someone call themselves christian, when they care not for the world god gave them dominion over? will we fail the next forbidden fruit test? just because our planet isn't warming doesn't mean that cfc's were good the whole time. just my 2pennies

A Dirty Word... Oil
i find it hilarious that so many people say rotella smells....i had been using it every change until recently...it is always easy to come by(both in price and availability). i never noticed any oder. my wife even put 20k this summer and she did not notice an oder. after reading that wallyworld's 15-40 is Cummins approved(don't really know if it is) that's what i've been using lately. i have always ran dino in my cummins. my ford had Mobil's 15k and i loved that, but i cannot justify the cost of 3 gallons of synthetic. at least not in the oil pan(maybe in the diffs and only mopar approved in the trans)

BHAF filters...
below 20 psi, if you increase the air flow at a given RPM, i believe the ecm is going to match that air with fuel i agree 100% but your not going to see any extra timing on a stock ecm tune, so i BHAF usually doesn't increase mileage
-
Anyone using a Gear Vendors overdrive unit?
i agree. my best is 18. with careful driving im avg 16.5....all with 2stroke
-
BHAF filters...
without a boost fooler, increased air would be detected by the MAP sensor. i believe that the ecm will see the added air and use that reading to determine fueling(ie more fuel). i would think that more fuel will not give better milage on a stock ecm tune. i do not know this for a fact, but merely an observation. correct me if i'm wrong.
-
BHAF filters...
when i did mine 2 years ago. i got 1mpg...but i think it was because of my trucks tune. my fuel system was in bad shape. i didn't have my airdog and the fuel pressure would get low and i would have poor performance.any increase in air will be matched with fuel as long as the ecm's map is stock(assuming you have a 24valve). a tuner might help.

30w Non Detergent vs. 2 cycle oil
i'm somewhat new to diesels myself. i had never heard about adding anything to fuel until i stumbled across mopar1973man's info about 2stroke oil. what did you have in mind. i have been using the wallyworld special. its like $11 a gallon so if 30w does the same for cheaper, i'm interested. maybe in another tank or so i will test it

2003 Dodge with 633k miles and still going.
idk... with my bury machine you do oil every 60 hours but the hydro fluid is only changed 300hours and the hydro filter was 150hours... oil doesn't "break down" like they try to sell on TV... it only becomes contaminated(by blow-by,water,etc). i still maintain that proper maintenance is changing fluids when necessary. nothing wrong changing sooner, but next to no benefits unless the fluid needs to be changed...the medium duty market gets 500k all the time...and most of it is regular dino!

2003 Dodge with 633k miles and still going.
i'm not that surprised...more that the body and dash are still one piece.... no but seriously the powertrain can last a long time with regular maintenance. that ram has been averaging 100k a year...

Needing some food for thought..
maybe a bypass for the intercooler? i noticed there is not much increase in temp for the compression of air....or computer CPU heatsinks or WATERBLOCKS

heres a joke for the mechanics
hahahahaha...my wife said "thats gross"!

New High Idle Video
nice video... can u give some comparison on EGT... what was it @ idle, high idle, and was that high+3 cylinder(or just 3 cylinder)
-
Ok how old are you???
yes...i was worried... i've been hearing every joke possible about being the youngest on this last hunting trip.
-
Ok how old are you???
sure...beat up the kids...if you old fogies would have slapped'em around a little instead of giving them "Care Bears" and telling them that their opinions mattered, then they wouldn't be lying about the chip stacks and injectors.lol just crackin jokes. but for real, am i the youngest buck in mopar's circle?

How Many Miles Without Alternator?
in my opinion, i think the outdoor temp is going to be the decider. it takes more power to crank and if the heater grids start cycling it will go quick. again INMO you could make it if the batteries are full and you have used the block heater for a couple hours. do you have a volt-o-meter? good luck

high speed miss
well if there is a code i can't find it... just leaves me scratch'n my head... i'll check the pressure as soon as i get my metric adapters from vulcan proformance, but i bet its good

Hard Starting with FASS 150
mine hits that quick. it was a little slower before i changed the factory batteries out a couple months back(chasing the starter contact problem our trucks have) if you want, throw a cutoff switch in the cab... but that is an indicative of a torn diaphram...has your ecu been modified? maybe to much timing?

Anyone using a Gear Vendors overdrive unit?
i use tires to change the ratio...when empty i run the sig tires. when pulling i put the stockers back. the turnpike to OKC is 75mph and your a suspicious vehicle if your not going that fast. if i remember the 33" changed the 3.55 to maybe a 3.23.?.?. can cruise 2k at 75 now. when you compensate for the mileage being off. it is almost the same on fuel, but city suffers a mpg. 12.5" is a lot of rubber to start turning
