  1. come on mike, you know your Atomic Tangerine, while most of us are blue, red, and brown LOL
  2. http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/cummins/2ndgen24v/vp44-replace/vp44-error.htm second or third one down is DTC P0216: FUEL INJECTION PUMP TIMING FAILURE sorry to hear about your luck i think my VP44 is on its last leg. let us know where you get your pump and if you do it yourself.
  3. i had the exact same thing in my ford rangerturns out when i changed a leaky intake gasket a vac line was touching the egr tube.i was driving on the freeway with AC on full blast and bam...only thru the defroster.a coupler and reroute solved my problem.
  4. that same thing happened to me :smart if you tap the ratchet with a hammer(try to imulate a impact hammer) you can get the nut tight without turning the motor. it kept coming loose every couple of turn so between the love taps to tighten it i then had a buddy grab the water pump pulley and help spin. it seemed to take a little bit off the alternator.
  5. quick! did you mail your warranty sheet in? it is a blue piece of heavy paper.that's what gives you lifetime warranty.is your FP gauge at the VP44 or at the canister? the AD100 should have used the existing draw straw from factory. did you use thread sealent on all fittings?not doubting your skills, just checking basics.if i remeber correctly, airdog said it use the connection off the stock lift pump so it would respond to ecm demands.but check everything easy first.
  6. on mine, i used my stock hose. just removed the filter box. looked exactly like this: only mine is white
  7. i have a D80 with 3.55 gearsi lucked into some humvee rims with beadlocks. they are 16.5x10.5 2 piece steelies. the smallest tire i can find is 33x12x16.5.i was thinking about going with a lower gear in the rear to help turn those beasts when i'm muddin(use the factories for highway). when they say "case split", what do they mean? are there 2 castings? they list some as "thin", is that what i need?thanks
  8. as per "2001 DODGE ram FSM"(3) Install the remaining bolts and isolators. Startingwith the center bolt, torque in a circular patternto 24 N·m (18 ft. lbs.).
  9. i sell cable and cable accessories. no i don't work for stricklin propane. i'm independent contractor. i install satellite tv and home entertainment at homes and businesses. i also splice mainline coax for COX cable. i prefer working for the cable company because the network is only so big. you can have satellite anywhere and there is alot of driving(on average 250+ miles all over the state and beyond). plus the direction to people's house in BFE are horrible! DON"T tell me to be watching for the pasture with brown cows in it and turn left at the next mile! i like my job because it is all ways different. no 2 house's are the exact same. not every streets cable is the same. nodes, amps, taps, line extenders. the only thing i don't like is when your general contractor tries to screw you, but (knock on wood) only satellite jerks do that around here. COX pays the lowest of every cable company but they always pay!
  10. on a side note. do none of the aftermarket or "beefed up" slave cylinders have bleeder valves? i was looking at them online cause if it has to be shipped might as well save some $. they all looked like the factory one, but they could have been stock pics.
  11. and the man of the hour is mopar1973man!!!!!i removed the MC and SC and res and hose(broke the body clip in the process. took it all apart and drained out ALL the fluid. it had a slight yellowish tint to it. then i pressed the SC's pin in and filled with fluid as i slowly let the pin out(to draw the fluid in). the i put the res on the hose and let gravity bleed the hose. connected the hose to the SC. then tried unsuccessfully to fill the MC. i connected the MC and res to hose, filled the res, and pumped the SC's pin until i could not hear echo in MC. bolted everything up and presto!i used the same parts because every part store in town had to special order them(2 business days) and wanted almost 90 bucks a cylinder before tax. DAY and NIGHT difference! before i could barely shift with the pedal on the floor and it would "catch" less than an inch on the way up.now it shifts easily and it "catches" right at the top. i almost killed it the first time backing out the drive. LOL thank you mopar1973man. you saved me at least 150 dollars. if you are ever this way, call me cause i owe you a 12pack
  12. (5) Refer to operating instructions supplied withpressure tester for procedures.(a) Check opening pressure or “pop” pressure.Pressure should be approximately 31,026 kPa (310bars) or (4500 psi 6 250 psi). If fuel injector needlevalve is opening (popping) too early or too late, replace injector.(b) Perform a leak-down test on injector. Applypressure with injector tester. The injector shouldnot leak (drip) fuel with pressure at approximately20 bars (291 psi) lower than pop pressure.© Operate tester lever quickly several times tocheck injector spray pattern. Verify fuel is sprayingfrom each injector nozzle hole. Injector should alsospray evenly from each nozzle hole.(d) Pay attention to size and shape of sprayplumes. They should all be equal. If possible, comparespray pattern to that of a new fuel injectorwith same part number. Checking each plume forconsistency is an excellent indicator of injector performance.Even if only one nozzle hole is plugged, significant performance problems could result.(e) Look for burrs on injector inlet.(f) Check nozzle holes for hole erosion or plugging.(g) Inspect end of nozzle for burrs or roughmachine marks.(h) Look for cracks at nozzle end.(i) Check nozzle color for signs of overheating.Overheating will cause nozzle to turn a dark yellow/tan or blue (depending on overheating temperature).(j) Look at end of injector tube where it meetsinjector. A small, shiny band should be seen at thispoint. The band should have a consistent thickness. If not, injector could be leaking into fuelreturn.(k) If any of these conditions occur, replace injector.
  13. (1) To determine which fuel injector is malfunctioning, run engine and isolate each cylinder usingDRB scan tool. The DRB scan tool lists the injectorfiring order in both cylinder numericalorder (1–2–3–4–5–6), and actual firing order(1–5–3–6–2–4).(2) Note RPM drop for each cylinder. As an alternative, loosen high-pressure fuel line fitting at fuelinjector connector tube (Fig. 15). Listen for a changein engine speed. After testing, tighten line fitting to40 N·m (30 ft. lbs.) torque. If engine speed drops, injector was operating normally. If engine speedremains same, injector may be malfunctioning. Testall injectors in same manner one at a time.4) After injector has been removed, obtain benchmountfuel injector tester OTCt (SPXt) part number4210 (Fig. 16) (or equivalent). Install Special Toolnumber 8301 (Fuel Injector Adapter) to 4210 tester.Install fuel injector into 8301 adapter. Be sure tip ofadapter tool 8301 is aligned to inlet hole at side ofinjector (Fig. 17) before tightening tool. Tighten tool8301 to injector. Position container below injectorbefore testing.
  14. i'm copying this straight from the FSM:WARNING: THE INJECTION PUMP SUPPLIES HIGHPRESSUREFUEL OF UP TO APPROXIMATELY120,000 kPa (17,400 psi) TO EACH INDIVIDUALINJECTOR THROUGH HIGH-PRESSURE LINES. FUELUNDER THIS AMOUNT OF PRESSURE CAN PENETRATESKIN AND CAUSE PERSONAL INJURY. WEARSAFETY GOGGLES AND ADEQUATE PROTECTIVECLOTHING. AVOID CONTACT WITH FUEL SPRAYWHEN BLEEDING HIGH-PRESSURE FUEL LINES.WARNING: DO NOT BLEED AIR FROM FUEL SYSTEMOF A HOT ENGINE. DO NOT ALLOW FUEL TOSPRAY ONTO EXHAUST MANIFOLD WHEN BLEEDINGAIR FROM FUEL SYSTEM.

i guess i would want to own a house before i invested into a good thing like solar power.lol here in OK we get enough sun to make it worth it, but we have softball size hail. what would that do to a solar panel? that beats up even some asphalt shingle roofs. does the gov subsidize wind turbines?
  16. the time i had a problem with algae was 18months ago.it was in my 100gal transfer tank. i let it sit for 6 months with only 5 gal. when i went to my usual part places, nobody had heard of that and had nothing for me(except PS). i made a trip to the napa distribution for OKC. they acted puzzled and after 1/2 of searching in the warehouse produced only one bottle and charge 30bucks for it. i guess it worked? maybe i just pumped it thru? gotta love fleetgaurds 3 micron filters.
  17. i don't know if its true but i read somewhere on one the cummins forums i read said that europe mandates a small % of blend. they went on to say most diesel here as a small blend so that they don't have to have do anything if they export.don't know how true it is. personally i don't by it, but i have no idea.
  18. i'm still in the dark. everything i find online says clutch is good until it starts slip'n. and that the slave or master need's to be bleed. anybody's opinion is welcome.
  19. what made you change it?my 3/4ton is getting about 15 when i don't run 2stroke.i have no codes but sometimes on medium->heavy grades when i shift from 3rd to 4th i don't have anything left. pedal to floor and no acceleration. after the grade i can move with the best of em.
  20. i noticed 2 days ago my transmission got REAL hard to shift gears. well not out of gear, but into gear. i started double pump'n and it is better. i have nv4500 and i checked fluid levels(clutch master and trans). the trans fluid was full and still pretty clear. i flushed the fluid 30-40k ago and filled with dealership fluid. i noticed that the slave cyclinder doesn't have a bleeder valve. the chilton book says the hydraulics are sealed and don't need to be bleed.so...does it sound like the clutch is wore or like i need to bleed?
  21. i bought my truck from its first owner. he told me he did regular oil, but that was it(other than the rear end).i just had to buy new batteries 2 months ago, and i noticed that the old ones still a had mopar part #s. i think they were factory.long story short, wallmarts 1000ca x2 is the best value around here. had the 2nd highest reserve also. everysize for $75. just don't lose your receipt.
  22. have you checked mopar1973man's write up? http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/personal/2002/gauges/gauges.htm if you have anymore questions, just ask
  23. how does the tp not turn up in the motor?i think of a wet roll of tp and it shreds into little pieces.when someone tp your house and then it rains. at first i was ready to order one, but i am still not sold.
  24. honestly i was scared, but the tv show EXTREME4X4 showed 2 really detailed episodes. they showed it takes patients but it's not rocket science. unlike transmissions but thats another story
  25. i was fillin up and the guy next to me ask whats up.(about the 2cycle)we shot the sh**, and he looks over at me and says:"well i guess you could get water to burn with enough fuel".then he walked off, believing 100% i was an idiot.but i just thought to myself, he must not of heard about water/meth.lol
