    My 01 Dodge 6speed is stuttering between 1350-1600 RPMs periodically. Its occurs under acceleration, typically at about 1450 RPM give or take 75 RPM. Never seen it happen above about 1600RPM. Its like a loss of power for about the count of .5 of one. Enough to know it occurred and then its back to normal. It seems to happen in the first 30 minutes of run time while the truck is still cold or cool. Fuel filters are new in the past 6 months (probably less then 10k miles) and its been occurring through at-least five tanks of fuel. I have re loaded my Quad Adrenaline tune and that does not seem to have an affect, i have …

  2. Hey everyone, New member here but long time reader, I recently bought another dually (lucky number 3) to replace my 2000 24v. Sorry in advance for the long post, just want to give all info Amazing truck and very well built, however.... i bought it and the abs module was unplugged, never really considered this a problem ( not a fan of abs) but im sure you all know that the speedodoesnt work without it and is a requirement for certification in Ontario.   3. Hello all, I have a 2001 24valve Dodge ram 2500 automatic. Wonder if my vp44 is bad. Today when driving, on acceleration I got a really bad stutter/cough in the engine. I double checked the voltage on the timbo apps and it is in spec and no dead spots. On the raptor pure flow the fuel pressure is 15psi at idle and around 12psi when accelerating. I have changed the alternator, it's in spec, I even disconnected fuse and harness to isolate if it could be that and it didn't go away. On low pressure side of vp44 primed to make sure no air on that side. No error codes and at my wits end what to do next. attaching a video if that helps. any thoughts…

    My 1999 2500 engine is surging while driving down the road. I recalibrated the APPS, which seemed to help, but 5 days later it is doing it again. Is the APPS going out or is there something else going on?

    I'm new to posting here, but have been reading tons of threads, suggestions, and related story issues here over the past month and a half. I am working on a friends 01 that I cannot seem to get figured out. This started for him last fall with the truck having dead pedal issues, stuttering/miss, and a small hand full of codes. I unfortunately don't have those codes to reflect on now, but the agreed upon synopsis was that the VP44 was on its way out so we made a plan to attack it this spring.     I've made huge mistake. Put a 01 24 v replacing 99 24 v. I knew there was no Crank sensor but didn't know about tone ring. Is there any type of kit that can correct this. #6 cylinder started knocking and it's a 53 block 346000 miles. Didn't want to rebuild. Came across a wrecked 01 low mileage. I didn't do my home work and now have a big problem. The truck started several times but will not start now and no tach. I still have the wrecked truck ecm and pcm but is's a automatic and my truck is a manual. Is there any type of kit to correct this, change cranks, switch ecm & pcm and flash add the tone ring.

    Ok i have my 02 that was crashed and an 01. Both are H.O. 6pds. The 02 is 2wd and other is 4x4. I want to put the 02 in the 01. Has way less miles and is just in better shape. Will i have to swap computers? I want to take the gauge cluster from the 02 to have the miles match the engine. Should i have an issue or will this be an easy swap? The other thing is the 01 has a 15k old VP vs the 02 having a 80k or so old VP. Are the pumps the same with the two years? I would like to take the newer pump during the swap.Thanks

  9. Ok well we'll see if I can keep y'all engaged here... The pull was from Katy Texas, Camping World RV to San Antonio. About 188.2 miles according to Google Map. For those who may not know, it's flat, with rolling hills (I use that word loosely, big mounds of dirt is more like it). This will come into play later. Here is my set up and whats in my sig. It sat nice. I did pre-hook up measurements with my airlift bags.   10. I have a 99 24v automatic. I was wondering if the engine wiring harness is the same as a manual. My harness was hacked from previous owner and found a good deal on another one, but it’s out of a manual truck. Thanks in advance.

    This evening i pulled in driveway, turned key off and got out as always { edge juice cool down timer} but engine never turned off. i came back to truck hit the brake which usually bypasses the edge timer but not this time.. i could not get the engine to stop running. finally i unsnapped the fuse box cover on end of dash and pulled the fuse from edge.. finally got it cut off.. now it won't start, noticed right off that fuel pump not running,, so i cycled the key three time to see if any codes on Odometer,, ALL I GET IS MILAGE BLINKING AND THEN "NO BUSS" I've unplugged the edge but still same thing blinking then NO BUSS

    Truck started acting up last weekend and had codes for APPS. I reset the APPS, which is about a year old Timbo APPS, and ran fine. This evening coming home from work truck was cutting out(dead pedal) Cruise control wouldn't even work and kept kicking off on its own. Got it home thankfully and got codes of 0562, 0575, 0342, 0112, 1488, 0606, 1295, 0237. Have Edge JWA truck is 2001 with 6spd and 273k on clock. Am I lookin and a new ECM? Any suggestions or where to start.

    Ok one this may be in the wrong place and two I'm not familar with either the engine or the exhaust brake nor do I even know for shure theres a diference between the two. I am looking to install one on my truck due to poor service brake longevity about 30k on a set of pads and rotors and was looking for guidance and advice.   15. I don't know if anyone is running an enviroguard breather out there, but I just picked one up, and I need to figure out how to get the unused dipstick plug out to install the oil return line. I understand that different plugs were used over the years. Mine appears not to have a lip on it at all, and is just a cylindrical plug pressed in. Any ideas how I should remove it?

    Hey guys my 2001 dually with an automatic is giving me fits. The transmission does not slip it just shifts back and forth when driving at slow speeds. OD off and it still does it. Any ideas? is there a sensor or chip that i can replace or change to stop this? thanks, Jt:banghead:

    Just taking a little break from my TC Lock problem - which is still under study/investigation. While digging around, I found this black wire beneath the ABS module. It comes out of the same wiring harness as the wires/connector for the ABS. I rings out to chassis ground. I assume a bolt/screw goes thru the eye, but I see no place within black wires reach for it to go. Does anyone know where it's home is please. I bought truck second hand and it looks like the LEFT Fender might have been replaced. Thanks. Leaky

    Hi all. I'm wondering if I'm headed in the right direction here:Yesterday while out and around I noticed the Edge comp was reading 0 boost continuously. At one point while accelerating it started jumping between 0 and 15 psi, which I could definitely feel, pulled hard while it read boost, then felt and sounded like it was lugging when 0 boost. Took it home and checked for way obvious stuff, unpluggled connectors, damaged wires, found nothing. Decided to take it to Autozone to have the codes pulled and on the way there the Edge started squawking an alarm that the boost was running at 40 psi, and did it when I let off the throttle to slow down.The only code that came ou…

    I may have posted here before. I have had this issue for sometime and have read that is a concern and also read that it's not a problem unless fp drops. My fuel pressure mostly runs at around 18ps and down to 14 psi at WOT when towing a heavy load. I noticed yesterday that while unloaded, I drove to round trip 5 hours and let truck sit for about 4 hours. Then when I got in it to leave to go home from work, my fuel pressure was bouncing up a lot. It will run at 18 psi or and it just so happen when cruising in 5th gear, the fp would drift up and down from about 24-25psi back down to 18psi.     Eng has 3ook on it and just changed the injectors, they were real bad. Eng sounded fine but no HP slow spool up and low EGT. Now it has good hp and all but at idle it is sorta erratic. Its not a miss. Tach has a little bounce to it, I think I read somewhere cam sensor need replace? No codes with the key but the 1693 comes up but nothing else.
