Hi everyone, I am trying to get all the gauges l on my edge programmer to work, I'm lacking on the fuel pressure , I had it hooked up working fine, then I installed a fass fuel pump the big one, and doing that eliminated the banjo fitting at the vp44 , so my question is could someone please tell me where I can find a fitting like a T that will let me screw the sensor into the side. ? Or any suggestions?

I think I am right but I want to be sure. On my 02 I have a schrader valve on my vp44. I want to install my fuel pressure gauge at this spot until my fass gets here. Can i just screw in my Grease gun hose in after I take schrader valve with out needing a banjo bolt? So it would be vp44 hole, grease gun hose, then needle vavle/ snubber and then Fuel pressure sensor from quadzilla.

Hello all! First time posting here, long time forum stalker! I've recently installed a Raptor FRRP to replaced my failed carter. Not sure how long that one was out but I found out while in the process of installing my ISSPRO gauges. Right now once the truck is fully warmed up my fuel pressure is at 19psi sometimes falling just into 20psi. While running down the road my numbers are between 16-18psi depending on hard heavy the left foot is. At WOT I get 14psi, sometimes dipping down to 13psi. While from the research I've done from this site, the numbers I'm seeing fall well within the safe zone of the vp44, I'm a little concerned about the amount it's drop…

What are the options for installing a fuel pressure test port? I know some to the late 2nd Gens had a schrader valve at the VP44 where fuel come in. But if you upgrade your fuel lines and replace the banjo that gets removed. I still have the banjo on the return line leaving the IP, can I put a test port there? Or is there somewhere else that is better? Thanks,

what is the issue with setting fuel pressure to higher levels, 20 or 25 psi so under load it can flow more volume keeping pressure say around 19 psi at wot. also I'veheard that as long as it starts then it is ok....is that the limiting factor of the pressure going into vp44?

Hi all, So I recently upgraded my ancient FASS lift pump to a Fuel Boss mechanical lift pump from Glacier Diesel Power. It has a bypass valve that allows fuel to return to the tank at a certain psi. I bought a "Tuning Kit" for that valve so that I could set the pressure exactly where I want it. I have been trying to get it just right but I keep ending up with it either a little lower, or a little higher than I want. I need help figuring out if I am looking for the wrong number or what, and where I should set it. I have in my head that anything over 20 is too high but at the same time I don't want it to get too close to 15 either lol. After messing with it for a few h…

I just recetnly installed a new lift pump in my truck. I put in a FASS DDRP. My fuel pressure at idle with the stock fuel pump was about 13psi. After putting in the fass it jumped up to about 20psi at idle. My question is do I need to be concerned about the fuel pressure being this high? Will it damage the injection pump? Do I need to turn it down or just leave it where it is? I was just worried because I've heard some people say that high fuel pressure can damage the VP44.Thanks for any help or suggestions.Mike

Okay, so I gave it some more thought about how I could go about adding a needle valve for my gauge. Instead of going the route of "in-line", I figured, I will just put a valve in on one of the ports thats on the fuel filter canister. Problem is, it seems like it cannot be done? What I mean is, I went to Home Depot and the guy did not have any of the right fittings. :banghead:The fitting for the fuel pressure gauge is an 1/8" Iron pipe thread. He did not have any valves in this style. Nor was he able to get any of the fittings he had to work.Do regular hardware stores have the right kind of needle valve I need or is it special order? Also, he mentioned his valves were a fi…

Hi everyone. I had guages installed about a month ago. They are fuel pressure, exhaust temp, and boost. The shop I took the truck to mounted the system to check fuel pressure on the top of my fuel filter housing. I have heard that some people have done this but what I wanted to know is it pretty accurate to have in this spot? I am running about 10psi at idle according to the gauge and I am installing an AirDog100 this next week but wanted to make sure it was right. Thank you!

Couple items I am having trouble with. Have an 01 with 190,000. 50hp injectors and a newish DTT Assassin lift pump. Original VP as far as I know. I do run 2-stroke at 1oz/gallon. Ever since I installed the assassin lift pump I have been having trouble with consistent fuel pressure. For those that don't know the DTT is a mechanical fuel pump that drives off the harmonic balancer, so in theory, as rpms increase so does fuel pressure. I have yet to see this happen. Right now I will idle at 17psi and drop to 10psi when I get into the pedal. I changed out the fuel filter a couple times and when I do the problem goes away for a day or so, then returns. I was curio…

I had a guy call me today that has been having some trouble with his 24v and I wanted to see what the experts here have to say about it. Here is a rundown of what I know about his issues. A few months back he told me he was having a dead pedal issue and the shop the truck was at replaced the apps and it still did it so then they ended replacing the vp44 and lift pump. Now the current problem he has is the lift pump runs when you turn the key on but then once the truck is started it seems the lift pump shuts off and the engine will start stumbling and smoking. I'm almost thinking it could be a problem in the ECM but I really hope for him …

Hi, I've been having trouble with my 02 3500- it won't start! it'll turn over and occasionally kick once or twice but won't go- a couple of weeks ago my fuel gelled and I put in some Diesel911 to try to move it along, it started and ran for like 60 seconds, then quit- we drained out the old diesel and put in fresh, it's got 15lbs of fuel at the vp44- we put in a new cam sensor b/c the cam and pump weren't quite in synch, checked with a solus programmer- values all read ok but it won't run or throw any codes. I took out the injection pump thinking I may have sheared the key, its not sheared but it is pretty beat up- does this mean that the pump …

Alright the other day, I noticed a drop in fuel pressure. Its been a continuous thing since then. It will now run at 15psi instead of 20 at idle. I did not mess with the pressure regulator or anything else of that nature. I have less than 10k miles on the fuel filter.I'm worried that if it is not the fuel filter, it could be the airdog pump going out, AGAIN...I will have to check the fuel pressure gauge and make sure the connections are still good and air is not getting into the system.I use permatex thread sealant, its really sticky stuff and says it wont be dissolved by fuels. If this is my problem, anyone have any suggestions about what sealant to use on the connection…

Details on truck in question are in my sig. Video starts from 25mph up to about 70mph. WOT the whole way, and let off right at 3,000rpm... Seems like a big drop for an AD165 on a stock truck.... Cruising around town, and on the highway it holds 15-17psi

Question about fuel gelling: so yesterday it was -1 all last night and I went to go start my truck at around 2pm. Got in and it started right up like normal but my fuel psi gauge was at 15psi (normally idles at 18-20) then within 10 seconds it dropped right down to 0 and the truck would smoke when high idle kicked on. The truck still ran great and sounded great like it really didn’t have 0psi of fuel pressure. After about 10 minutes of idling the fowl pressure just randomly started to go up a psi every couple seconds until I hit 20 psi and then it ran good for the rest of the day. Went to the store and put some howes in so if it did gel up it won’t happen again. Sorry for…

Can some one point me in the right direction on how to make sure my lift pump (FASS 150) isn't wired directly of an ECM but rather of a battery through a relay. I installed everything according to instructions. There is a relay also that I believe is hooked to battery and a plug under a truck that is plugged in to FASS wiring. Maybe it's fine already by going with an aftermarket lift pump and only affected if you still use factory frame pump. Is there a thread on this and maybe pictures? Just want to make sure, Thanks.

I just changed out a factory lift pump on a 2001 Cummins to a FASS DDRP. Everything installed tighter, also added a sediment filter in line before the pump. Cycled pressure through and started the truck right now. It goes Immediately to 2500rpms and holds there. Good news is it is showing good pressure at that high rpm, but it is NOT coming down. is there a reset that needs to be performed, or did something get bumped during install? Vehicle is equiped with an Edge JWA tuner. No other mods that i can tell from sight. Thanks!

After reading a lot of advice on this and other forums, I decided that I needed to buy a fuel pressure gauge. Going on recommendations I’ve received, I ordered an inexpensive Westach gauge. When it arrived, I had a local garage install it. After they finished, I got in to drive the truck back home, a distance of 25 miles. About 7 miles out, the gauge went to zero. I pulled off, shut the engine off, and thought about it a bit. I started the engine back up and the gauge went back to around 11psi idle. It worked all the way home. The next day, when I started it up, the gauge was zero and stayed there. I called up the garage, and they said to bring it in Friday. I called up …
