So the supposed HX35 I bought ended up being a WH1C. For all purposes it seems to be an HX35, other than drilling and tapping for a boost elbow, is this a "bolt-on" swap? It has 5 bolt holes in the rear so I think I can reuse my HY35 exhaust adapter? Has anyone done this?

Alright, so my log splitter uses 5 gallons worth of hydraulic fluid. I have to replace it all before I start splitting more wood again. I sure would hate to let it go to waste and/or pay to get rid of it. I could always throw it in the fire a little bit at a time, but I wonder if I could use it in my fuel?

So the seal is leaking in the cab and it looks to be the original so I ordered a new one. While I'm there should I replace the master cylinder also?

I’ve been having problems with either my hydro boost or master brake cylinder. I press my brakes and it seems hard put press a little harder and they work. But now my power steering pump is starting to hum. What could be causing this issue?

When I purchased my truck the hydro-boost had a leak, but instead of replacing the gaskets I just purchased a whole new unit, (I figured after 205,000 miles I might as well). Now 2,500 miles later of no problems or leaks, I got in my truck yesterday morning, started it, and a couple seconds of idling later there was a loud noise coming from the hydro-boost. I quickly shut off my truck, waited a few minutes and then tried to start it up again, and it started doing it again. (P.S. whenever I tried turning the steering wheel or pressing the brake the sound would get louder). However I came home from work that evening and started it up and it didn’t make the sound, and drove …

I have a leak and loosing power steering fluid. I changed the pump, but I'm leaking fluid frowim the hydraboost near the vacuum brake booster. Is this an O-ring I can replace or does this mean a re built hydraboost unit from NAPA? I also have no vacuum for switching the defrost and vent, is this related? Thanks for any suggestions

I had a leaky hydroboost. Bought a rebuild kit and changed 2 o-rings. It was very simple and straightforward. Reassembled everything pumped the breaks. A little spongy, no big deal as I was planning on bleading them. Start the truck to look for ps leaks. The break pettle was sucked to the floor and will not return. Turn the truck off and pump the breaks. After 15 pumps the breaks start to come back up. I'm stumped. Any ideas?

Hey all, Got another question for the group. I have two brake issues that have been there since I bought my truck, but only just now getting around to. Both are hydroboost related. First, it leaks on the inside of the firewall. No question there, it needs rebuilt or replaced, however I don't think rebuilding is an option because of the second issue. Namely, the pedal is very slow to return. Takes about 3 good seconds for it to return and my brake controller light to go out, and even longer when the truck is cold. I had a friend help me flush the power steering fluid, but that didn't help much if at all. So I'm looking into a new hydrobooster. My question is, does an…

Well gang I finally had my hydrobooster failed and started leaking out the output shaft. So I ordered on Friday and Pirate Jack's rebuild kit and put extra on freight getting the kit here fast. So hang in there there's more videos and write up as an article. Also there will be a track bar install soon too I'll do a video of the diagnosing of it.

I finally noted my fuel pressure on my 2001 work truck last week. I was surprised to see it bouncing around 10 psi. Also I was surprised that I have been too busy to notice for quite awhile. Looking in my maintanence schedule I see that both fuel filters have not been changed for 76,000 miles ! How did that happen I asked. As I drove home and fuel temps rose the pressure climbed to 15 still short of the 19 it was set for. It has to be making the lift pump work harder. Today both filters will be changed. Normally everything is watched closely on both trucks, kept on schedule but, I missed this one. Kinda shows a limit how long two filters working together can also help eac…

Got around to changing the oil and doing some services and maintenance on the wife's truck yesterday. It still has the OEM oil pan drain plug in it. I was going to replace the drain plug last time with a magnetic drain plug I bought from some scam artist on eBay but the plug didn't even come close to fitting. Last oil change I ordered a magnetic drain plug from Genos Garage and have it ready to install this time. http://www.genosgarage.com/prodinfo.asp?number=HDOP-KIT-22MM I put one of these drain plugs on my other truck and they work great. I just wish they would make them with the rare earth high strength magnets. I put these rare earth magnets on the oil filt…

2002 dodge ho 6 speed stock I am on my way to montana from amarillo, texas and I am outside albuquerque. I set the cruise and am going about 70 mph down the highway. I start to notice the the truck starts to feel like it is surging. It is pretty hilly up and down and i think it is just the cruise adjusting and then all of the sudden the tranny just feels like the clutch just let go or the tranny locked up. It just starts to decelerate rapidly and just feels like the it is lurching like it does when your in 1st gear when you pull away. I push the clutch in and it just keeps jumping around. I get it pulled over on the side of the road. I get out and notice some fluid coming…

good day gents. new to site, so far seems pretty informative. thanks for that. 01 2500 4x4, auto. new to me since 2013. heres the list of issues i believe to be having; engine knock delay in shifting to OD tc lock up hunt. trans slips on left turns(sometimes) so.....with engine knock....cant remember when it started, but its been at least 9 months. noise is constant thru rpm range. i list this as a trans issue as i cant/hope not/ see the engine knocking for 6 months without failing completely. oil pressure indicator working and in normal range, 40psi at idle...thereabouts. even after driving around. ive read flex plate failure is common...perhaps…

I'm talking about the line on the rear of the cylinder head. I was under there fir something else yesterday and noticed it's wet on the back of the engine and down the bell housing. A small drip was handing on the bottom of the bell housing. It was fuel. Could see the light green color. I took my phone and tried to get a pic behind the head (it's tight back there) and it looks wet. Can't tell if it's just the copper washers leaking or if it's the line itself. So far its a small leak, just a drip. Could this cause a slight hard start issue? I noticed yesterday morning she seemed to start a bit harder than normal. (Temp was low/mid 40's) Thinking of just…
