Finally got around to changing fuel filters at 54k miles. Don't look bad for 54k miles. No loss in fuel pressure either. Those where install 220k miles I just changed them at 274,500 miles.

Hi Guys, I'm new here real nice site. I came here looking for some info and hopefully some help or direction as i'm really struggling with dead gauges and a no bus odometer on my new to me '01 2500 4x4 5 speed. This truck has been rode hard and put up wet way too many times, but the drive train seems to be in decent shape and it'll work good as my farm truck. What I've done so far is remove and clean the bolted connector several times in the under hood fuse box, I have also removed and cleaned the under dash by the clutch main connector. I have tried to get codes but the only thing retrievable is 900 920 921 when I do a cluster check, all the gauges function when I do…

  10. UPDATE! May 19, 2007- 2 Cycle Oil And The DynoJet... Well there has been a lot of talk about 2 cycle oil hurting to HP/TQ numbers. Well I'm here to set the records straight for once and for all... First off let me lay down some baseline information. You all have seen my web page on my BOMBs and MODs I've done. Ok... We all know that the 2002 Cummins SO is rated for 235 HP 460TQ at the flywheel. Run #1 - Stock mode with Edge Comp Turned off. 228 HP - 462 TQ Well this proves there is very little drag between the flywheel to the rear end. Also this proves there was very little improvement in HP/TQ number concerning 2 cycle oil. I'm using conventional D…

How important is it to spend $1,200 on a clutch? I am looking at a auto to nv4500 conversion and am wondering for a mainly stock rig how important it is to go with a big a$$ clutch. Can I just get one from napa? Every time I turn around you guys want me to spend a thousand dollars. Lol.

Anybody have any pricing? All I find is short blocks for sale and no pricing. Act like if they put a price on it the voodo dolls will come out or something.

  14. Ok so I recently rebuilt my motor and put it back in the truck this week. I got it started fine and to idle but the oil pressure, tachometer, and thermostat gauges were not working. (Oil pressure is fine though I have a mechanical gauge) Did the cluster test and everything worked fine. So I disconnected the batteries and cleaned the 2 grounds to the motor. Put dielectric geese on grounds and tightened. Reconnected the batteries and now my lift pump will not kick in. As well as the gauges still not working. I have double and triple checked that I have everything connected to the correct spots and grounds put back on the motor where they were. I need this truck running befo…

Well after about 8 years I finally wore out me first Timbos APPS. I've got a P0122 code just popped up last Thursday. Felt a few odd dead pedal periods which were short lived. I know Monday I've got to order a new one after all those miles of driving.

Hey All, I saw this on the news last night... I know there have been many conversations about Veggie Oil and Fry Grease and using it as a diesel alternative but this guy has been doing it for some time and has a pretty neat system set up. If anything it is interesting how he cleans it, the system he has set up seems to work pretty slick.... Here are the links if you are interested... http://www.2news.tv/news/local/26120054.html (Article) http://www.2news.tv/news/local/26120054 ... eo=YHI&t=a (Video) http://boibio.com/ (blog) Enjoy... I was in Napa this morning and they have Premium Blue on sale for $9.99. I don't need any (bought my supply when Oreileys had it on sale). Don't know when it goes off sale. But at that price, I figured I would pass on the info to everyone!

  19. I have an autometer EGT in my 2000 and am going to add a edge juice with attitude which also requires a thermocouple. Instead of installing a separate T-couple is it advisable just to connect my edge to the existing thermocouple? I seem to remember that the leads are specific length and impedance so running 2 devices off the same thermocouple might not be a great idea... Anyone out there done this? Thanks, Chris
