put new DAP injectors in last summer. Have been fighting High EGTs and black smoke since. Didn't think +50 injectors would cause this much trouble. MAP 48 when pulling hard. Is there ANYTHING in the VP44 that can make it overfuel with no codes?

$7.50 for a quart of Valvoline ATF+4 ! ! ! That's crazy ! I replaced the rear drive shaft seal on my 241 transfer case, Figured Id change the oil too. Cheapest I found is $7.50 per quart for valvoline atf + 4. Local crappy Walmart didnt even have any. They redid/ rearranged everything in that store and they dont stock alot of stuff they used too Looked at my old receipts and I payed $2.50 a qt for the ATF + 3 before the +4 came out when I did my Transmission Im going to try another walmart in another town UGH !

Hi everyone I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 and I am at a loss. This all started as a simple lift pump install and I put a fass 150 on and it went south from there and replaced the pcm and checked all the pdc fuses and relays. The only code i get is the p0232 and I’ve checked the voltage on the fuel shut off and I got nothing. I’ve replaced the fuel relay and I’ve noticed if you barely even touch it it starts clicking there and at the vp44. I bypassed the lift pump and the vp before and it ran fine so I don’t think it’s my vp. I’m just tired of running from one thing to another. Anything helps thanks in advance. Also got the p0230 code once but hasn’t came back

Hello All, . Been referencing this site for years and found many answers. Good job. Heres my question. I bought an 01 with a Banks Big Hoss Wire Tap. I have a Flashpaq F4 here also. Will these units work together. I looked on the stacking chart for the VP44 and didn't see the Big Hoss on there.

Hey everyone, new paying member here, having issues with my truck and looking for some guidance. My truck is an 01 24v HO. I have had zero drivability issues since purchasing it about seven years ago until yesterday. Driving down the road as per normal when the engine just suddenly shuts off. I coasted it to the side of the road noticing the check engine light was on so immediatley cycled the key to view codes. I was met with P0230, P1688 and P1689. Luckily I was semi close to my shop so had some good Samaritans help me push it the rest of the way there. The truck is a crank but no fire scenario. hey guys n moparman, first post here i just got an email from the site suggesting my return but ive yet to post anyways ill start off with a bang.. 01 24v dodge excab 4x4 stock new vp n raptor, 86mph 2250 rpms i think forget what its governd to also have a 12v anywho pedal to the floorboard 13 psi going to the pump. idle i think 14 -17 im pretty sure. im trying to do this from memory i havent driven the truck in a week or so. so i believe it gets good FP? the gauge is taped into the shrader valve on the fuel intake banjo bolt and i recently changed the fuel filter and saw no change in numbers... regardless the truck gets 11-12 mpg around town. litterly $100 or…

I'm currently searching through google and the forum for help. Posting because I'm confused as to whether its my PCM or ECM also clueless. Last night I was driving and I parked and shut off my truck. I did switch my tune to one I got from here but used previously without any problems. A few minutes later I started my truck just fine as always and about a second later it shut off. I NEED HELP TRUCK RUNS OUT OF FUEL AND I SHUT KEY OFF AND LET LIFT PUMP FILL FILTER AND IT WILL RUN FINE FOR A MIN OR SO THEN DO THE SAME THING REPLACED FILTER AND HAS A AIR DOG RAFTER LIFT PUMP THAT IS NOT AS LOUD AS I REMEMBER IT BEING. Hey, guys. I've already converted my 12V truck to the 1-wire setup (technically, it's 2 wires, but w/e..) Started on the '01 today and realized quickly that the alternators are not the same LOL The internal regulator mod is pretty straight-forward, at least, on the dual-tab style alternators. But the plug-in connectors, the internals look way different. I've searched and searched to try and figure out where the field wire connectors inside the later style are, but to no avail. I only seem to find early 2G style, or or really old Mopar v-belt styles; neither do me any good.. Thoughts? I can grab a couple pics shortly.

Hello, I have a 01 cummins auto, only mods are 75Hp injectors, and a fass. I just had a new injection pump installed, however the problem was there before this. When the truck is put into gear from P or N, it stalls. It will fire right back up, and when you get it to stay running, it acts as if it's under a load. When put back into park from Drive or reverse if it stays running, the RPM's jump up as if I tapped the throttle. Anyone know what this could be? Thanks in advance!

I just replaced the injection pump, the fass lift pump is working good, the pump is getting plenty of fuel. But I cant get it to run, it will start with ether but wont stay running. I have primed the pump and bled the filter housing getting the air out. Please help If you can

ok guys any advice and idea new to the forum I have a 2001 2500 5.9 trans started slipping I found a used one for a good price and purchased it only had 15,000 on rebuild it was out of a 99 installed and had no o/d or lockup unless I used the l/u switch still no o/d replaced the governor pressure solenoid and sensor without any luck I'm getting ready to replace to o/d solenoid so I have to drop the valve body and ideas of advice is greatly appreciated this is all my first experience with transmissions

My 01 just dies when I put it in gear...starts in park fine and idles great in park and neutral but as soon as I put it in any gear it dies...any ideas? Torque converter? Maybe a sensor?

Hi this is my first time posting. I got a 01 quadcab cummins from my girlfriends grandfather that passed away . It has the h.o. motor and a 6 speed standard. Back in 08 he put a new motor in and had problems with the tach ever since. Now that i have the truck i had it idling with my scanner plugged in and the tach says its idling at 500 rpm. The scanner says 800 rpms. When the scanner is reading 3000 rpms the tach says 2000 rpms. Other than that it runs good . Any help or ideas would be appreciated. Also my redline on my tach is at 3000 rpm which is odd because every other cluster ive seen is around 3300-3400

I know this has been discussed a billion times but i am unable to find the answers I'm searching for. My question is will a 2001 diesel manual ECM work on a 2001 diesel auto engine wiring harness? My tuck is a 2001 automatic 4x4 Cummins. The doner truck I'm using for parts is a 2001 manual (5 speed) 2wd. I have removed the PCM and its harness from the doner and I'm planning on swapping that in to my truck. I have been trying to get a hold of Smarty so they can hopefully change the VIN # as well as the mileage of the doner ECM & PCM to match my truck.

I got my 01 truck swap buy the other custumer and he put a 98.5 in it that cause the truck runing in limp mode because off the différence in the tone ring 98.5 to 00 run cam and crank and 01 to 02 just have cam sensor. Now my truck is a 01 with auto transmission can i put a 01 manuel block with all my stuff on its like vp44 and the turbo

So I just finished dropping an 01 engine in a 98.5 truck, dealt with the cmp signal error. But now my abs light won't go out. No abs related codes, no CELs and I can't get the ABS, motor to actuate via the scanner (modus from snap on). What am I missing?

I need help here. I have a 2001 with the 6 speed. The clutch went out a couple weeks ago so I decided to do some long overdue work on the truck while tackling the clutch job. I put a new south bend dd in and a new slave cylinder assembly. I also changed the drivers fender as well and pressure washed the entire engine and undercarriage. The truck ran perfect when I shut it off to do all the work. I have the air dog 2 with a 2 year old industrial injection vp44. I've always had 20 psi fuel pressure at idle with about 17 at WOT. When I got everything back together and started the truck, it idles perfect but it won't rev above 2000 rpm and started defueling causing a missing …
