Been driving about a year after the 0216 code came up. It never came up again till a few days ago so I increased fuel pressure to 21-22 from 18 and throwing 2 quarts of 2 cycle with every fill up to help the VP.I have a significant increase in miles hauling the same heavy camper on the same almost exact 3 day long road trip sometimes going 3 times a year.. It's showing a little over a 1 mile per gallon increase to 15.3 from just under 14.:think:I thought the vp should give bad miles when the timing piston starts to wear (0216 error code), but there's no white smoke and no hard starts. runs really good.

Little story here just in case anyone is wondering if they should buy anything from DAP. I bought a set of injectors last spring because my copper washers were leaking compression back into the fuel tank and I figured at 180k with the injectors out I might as well throw in a new set. For 400 bucks I didn't have much to loose. Immediately I could tell the motor was much quieter and it had a ton more power. (Oh still getting 21+ mpg too) Within the last month or two I have developed a slight miss in the #3 injector which is progressively getting worse. I pulled it apart and found the pintle wasn't moving up and down easily even after cleaning thoroughly. I called Jacob and …

Anyone know where I can get a 2002 Dodge Ram Truck Repair Manual for the vehicle in the sig? I need the original Dodge manual since I am looking at wiring. The CHEAPER the better!I have the 2001 manual from our "Sister Site" but the wiring and other things ARE different. e.g., I do not have a CAD, 4WD wiring is different, etc. Thanks!

So I was pulling a heavy load, about 21k and I kept having to back out of the throttle and down shift to keep temps down. Still had plenty of HP but couldnt use it. I noticed it was smokyier than usual, boost is still 19.50 and water temp would climb a little. I looked in the articles and found Michaels air charge rig. It says Cummins Service Products 3824556, searched and no luck. Who is recommended to order from? Thanks

I’ve been having problems with either my hydro boost or master brake cylinder. I press my brakes and it seems hard put press a little harder and they work. But now my power steering pump is starting to hum. What could be causing this issue?

Just wanted to touch base here and Say a Big Thank-You to Everybody! Big Blue ran fine across county last Nov! Pulled a 2 axle U-Haul across the I80 rte with out issues. Arrived in Klickitat County, Wa. after 4 days. Replacing the APS and alternator seemed to do wonders for the truck. The OSC radiator has performed very well,, even with the mercury hitting 112 here early this month! Looks like We will be heading back east in Nov, with Our destination being the Pike County, Pa area. Hope to pull a 2013-14 Dodge Avenger behind us... While I'm here, the lift pump pressure I installed last Summer is leaking out of the end where t…

My truck has 110k miles, edge EZ, 4” exhaust, FASS lift pump, Suncoast triple disk, dynamic valvebody, and an Oregon fuel injection VP. The pump has around 20k miles on it never seen less than 14PSI at WOT, always with the FASS, and always had 2 stroke. It recently FEELS like I’m losing low end power. Very very little smoke ever no matter what tune the EZ is on. Just feels like lately I have to push the throttle a lot more to really get going but once it’s wound up then it seems fine. No CEL. New fuel filter. Also my fuel mileage sucks (250-300 miles/tank) Runs great otherwise. Could something be up or am I just losing my marbles??

I know most of you have looked at your oil pan and wondered if the oil pan can be removed easily. The answer is yes. You can remove the oil pan completely but you will need a few heavy-duty tools like a bottle jack or an engine hoist. The first thing you going to need to do is jack up the truck so the axle hangs freely. Then you want to drain all the oil from the pan. In my case, I had to do tie rod ends and a new drag link so this was all removed. I removed the wheels from the axle and allowed the axle to just hang freely. Loosen up both engine mounts bolts till the nuts are to the end of the threads. Now set up an engine hoist and hook it to the front hoist ring of the …

prior to mey ecm going out i had noticed the my tranny had started slipping out of fisrt and reverse. I had also notice it was getting hard to put in reverse, much more than normal. it does not jump out under load, just slips out when i let off of the throttle. both gears stay in as long as i am under load. Is this an omen of things to come?

Anyone know if there is an OBD PID for idle mode? Say for instance my truck had a weird lopey idle and I suspected that the APPS is rapidly jumping from idle mode to off-idle (because the truck also jumps out of fast-idle mode when it's cold). I know I can check it with a meter, but I was hoping I could monitor it from obd. Thanks.

I purchased a FPPR, some 1/2" fuel line and some fittings. I have a fuel filter and water seperator housing so I should be pretty close to installing it. The only two things left is a draw straw and how I will hook into the VP. My question is should I look into a larger return line or will the factory line give me enough flow to keep up with the new set-up?

hi all thank you for being a beacon of hope in the realm of . . . well lets just say "stealerships" ok here's the deal. bout 3 months ago this here cummins decided to not start as happily as usual, 80k miles, all maintenance on schedule. normal start procedure, hit the key, roooma zoom zoom, or chugada chugada chugada, what ever your preffered description. now frequently, but not always, after a 5+ hour no run, it may take two -3-4-5 starter engages to get the fire lit, or not, it still occasionally fires on the first starter engage. a week ago started tracking ambient temp at start up, not sure yet, but reluctant start appears to be bel…

Installed new torque converter and valve body. Everything worked great for first 600 or so miles. Now, truck will immediately stall out when shifting from park to either reverse or drive. Sometimes can blip the throttle and keep it me dying. No other shifting or searching issues that usually plague these trucks once I can get the truck rolling. Wondering if the new converter is locking up in park? Is that even possible?
